Cannot believe that one of my top Thai spots in Fresno comes from a food truck. You HAVE to checkout this gem to our community. I recommend following them on instagram because you can find their schedule and location. Service is incredibly friendly and whoever's manning the truck is always smiling. They also have a pretty nice setup going on with small chairs and tables for quick dining, which is much appreciated. I've had their pad thai and pad kra pow and they both are insanely flavorful and put respects on their roots. However, I want to talk about the dish that I've had once and its a MUST have everytime I visit. The dish I think about and crave almost every day. Moo Sam Chan Tod (999999/5): This deep fried pork belly dish checks all the boxes for me. Pork belly is one of my favorite things to go for from most Southeast Asian cuisines, and man this ones so crazy. The pork has the perfect crisp on the skin, but the meat itself is so juicy and packed with flavorful. Not a single piece was cooked even slightly off. You HAVE to get sticky rice over the steamed rice. I don't make the rules. It has a natural acidity and comes with their signature spicy sauce. Recipe for perfection. I be blacking out and suddenly im dipping the pork in the spicy sauce, the rice in the spicy sauce, straight up DRINKING the spicy sauce. I really am dedicating this review to this dish. I do not care. On a real note, try everything on the menu at least once. They put their heart into every dish and I cannot applaud them enough.

There are several reasons why I am continuously enticed to keep coming back to this food truck when I am in the area every Sunday. Chief among them is their menu, which are all authentic and hard-to-find dishes you will not get at any local Thai restaurant. The Pad Thai and Pad Kra Pow (grounded meat with Thai basil) are easily the most popular dishes, but I have also had the chance to try other dishes like Khao Kha Mu (braised pork) and Khao Man Gai (boiled chicken with ginger garlic rice). The Khao Man Gai is essentially a Thai interpretation of the Chinese dish, Hainan Chicken Rice. None of the dishes have truly impressed me so far but I appreciate they have not been very oily and overly seasoned. The dishes are a healthier, cleaner-tasting version of some of the dishes you can expect at most local dine-in restaurants.I have also not tried any of the fried and skewed meat dishes here that are usually my "cup of tea" and have deeper flavor profiles. The plates are priced appropriately for a food truck, where you will get just enough for a quick and satisfying meal.Very friendly service. You will always be greeted with a warm smile and they will make helpful suggestions on what to try if you are being indecisive. The plates come within 5 to 8 minutes while made-to-order. On rainy or windy days, they will bring your order to your car as soon as it is prepared. You will find them at the corner of E. Shepard Avenue and N. Willow Avenue on Thursdays to Sundays, 11 AM to 7 PM come rain or shine.

Love at first sight? NAH. Love at first bite. You know food is good when you can already picture yourself coming back again and again just after the first bite. I found this place on instagram and knew I just HAD to try it. Located across the street from Enzo's Table, this beautiful and colorful truck is so easy to spot! There is tons of parking. They have cute red stools to sit on as you wait for your order or to eat there. The food didn't take too long to make - it took about 10-15 minutes tops! You can also order ahead online on their website. Their menu indicates that most of their food items are gluten free and can be made vegan!Everything on the menu sounded so delicious, I wish I could've gotten everything on the menu. They offer a ton of Thai dishes, drinks, and desserts! Their spice levels for their entrees can vary from no spice to "Thai hot". The woman who helped me was so incredibly friendly and helpful. I love spicy food but I figured for the sake of my stomach (and because I didn't bring tums) I'd ask how spicy their hot spice level was and she said it was very spicy. I opted to get my dishes at the medium spice level, just in case, but she offered for dry spice on the side that I could add to the dish so I can control the spice on my own and add it where I see fit - which was such a sweet suggestion! Now for the food: 〰 Pad Thai (1000/10): DELISH. You can choose to get it as is, but there's an option to choose chicken OR prawns for an extra cost. I opted for chicken! This pad thai rocked my socks off. The pad thai was so flavorful, I think next time I would even get it plain! I love pad thai and this is definitely one of my favorite pad thais I've ever had. Would definitelyyyy get this again.〰 Pad Kra Pow (10/10): SO FREAKING FLAVORFUL! This dish did not disappoint. I got it with chicken and man, oh man, does this hit the spot. You can add a fried egg for $2 and it was cooked to perfection. Adding the egg really adds an extra oomph. I got this medium spice, but next time I would definitely get this at their hot spice level. 〰 Moo Sam Chan Tod (10/10): Deep fried pork belly - some of the best 4 words you could put together. The pork was fried to perfection. It comes with your choice of steamed or sticky rice and I definitely recommend the sticky rice! The signature spicy sauce that comes with it? SO FIRE! It really makes the dish. I could not be happier with my experience here. Good food and good service. I'm already planning my next visit to try more of their dishes and even their drinks!

Rice N Spice came up on my Instagram feed as a new Thai food truck in Clovis. I had to come, because I'm 1 month post Thailand vacation and longing for some semblance of Thai street food and random wanderings for delicious Thai foods.Rice N Spice did not disappoint. Their truck is vibrantly colored and the plastic red chairs outside are so quintessentially Thai street food. With a little tunnel vision, I felt transported back to that other side of the world.Service was friendly, and they greeted us with a friendly "sawasdee!" Food came out quickly within 15 minutes and it was delivered to our table along with a complimentary Thai tea. The Thai tea was quite sweet, but had good flavor once the ice melted a bit more. The Gai tod, Thai version of fried chicken, was the winner of the meal. Crispy, juicy, slices of fried chicken with a detectible spicy and tangy sauce. My husband ordered the moo sam Chan tod, which is crispy pork belly. It came with the same sauce as the chicken, and was fried to perfection. This was reminiscent of many meals that we enjoyed in Thailand.Overall, I'd rate the experience a 5/5 and well worth the trek from Fresno to Clovis. Value is average considering standard food truck prices. Each meal will run you from $12-15 and drinks at $4.

Servings are small for the price, flavor was burnt on the pork belly and dry more like pork jerky. The sauce was not spicy at all!!! Too bad it was more toasted rice than sauce, i ran out in two dips. I ordered two pork belly plates with sticky rice and Pad thai. Drove 18 minutes out of my way to give them a try, I don't think I'll be back unless I'm in the area. Service was friendly and the wait wasn't too bad 20 minutes or so. I lucked out no one was there during my visit so no line.

Rice N Spice easily made it to my top 5 food trucks!! They whip up some of the best Thai food I've had. When we placed an order for pick up, something went wrong on their system's end, so by the time we came for pick up, our food wasn't even made... the sweet lady gave us Thai teas to sip on while we waited :') thank u!! We also love how they have stools spread out- it gives an authentic Thai street dining feel lol

I would NOT recommend this type of food for that amount of cost.. Today we decided to try this food truck out and little did I know, such a disappointment. We waited 15 minutes for our food and they were not even busy. We had ordered beef larb medium spice and sticky rice. The flavors was nothing like beef larb. No flavor at all. They actually used ground beef and stirred fry my larb. That's just a no no. They actually mixed more lettuce in so it would look like there's a lot of larb. For $15.75 Not worth it. Truck looks nice, but food is not the way it should taste.

This food truck often comes to my community for our Wednesday or special events nights. I ordered their Pad Thai and it was one of the most disgusting pad Thai dishes I've ever had in my life. Their pad Thai did not taste in any sort of way authentic. It was greasy, wet and too sweet to consume. I only had a couple bites and threw away my food. This passed Friday the truck was there again for our music on the lawn event at Tesoro. I attempted to try their beef laab to not judge them on one dish. I ordered the beef laab spicy. I asked if they used fresh Thai and she said they do not... they use all dry chili only but didn't specify what kind. I said okay.. I also ordered side of sticky rice and chili on the side. The beef laab looked decent but again it was so greasy, wet and sweet again... their flavors are NOT authentic and are catered I feel more to a typical American consumer. You will be disappointed if you're looking for an authentic taste.. super disappointing to be honest because I was so excited to see a new Asian truck to support. I will no longer be purchasing from them.

Initially I saw this cute food truck pop up on my IG and the food looked so good. We recently moved not too far from their location on Shepherd and Willow, so we decided to give them a try. I'm always a bit hesitant to try new food trucks because they can get pricey and the quality is always hit or miss. I'm always down for supporting local and really wanted to love this little food truck, but it was just OK for me, even with their excellent customer service. The workers were very kind and it didn't take too long for our food. It was about a 10 minute wait. I ordered two items that weren't very common, the braised pork and the mini coconut pancakes. There are many versions of the braised pork in Southeast Asian cuisine and I wanted to try the Thai version. I was really excited to have it with the pickled mustard greens. It was served with broth, rice, half a boiled egg, and a very small amount of the pickled mustard greens. The meat lacked the depth of flavor that a braised dish should have. It was also a bit dry. I was stoked to try the pancakes and was immediately disappointed when I opened up the box. They were not only teeny, tiny, but it was burnt on the bottom. I know this place got alot of great reviews, but it just wasn't for me. With the price of food these days, I'd rather spend my money elsewhere.
