I had an absolutely AMAZING experience at Re:treat. I had my hair colored at another salon and they butchered the color and severely damaged my hair. I wasn't sure if it could be fixed. I found retreat and went in for a color consultation with Amanda to see what could be done. Amanda is AMAZING. AMAZING. She performed a miracle on my hair. I walked in with the most god awful hair and walked out with a "lived in blonde" balayage that was super close to what I wanted in the first place. She also colored my hair in a way that was super smart. She had to go slightly darker than my natural color at the roots to cover up some awful chunky highlights (chunky highlights?!?!?!), but she did that with a semi permanent so in a couple months we can reevaluate and slowly get the roots back to my natural color. She also did a thorough conditioning treatment to make my hair more manageable. Amanda fixed a dye job that I thought could not be fixed. She made my hair look gorgeous and I love it. She also works super fast, she's kind, and she's a delight to chat with. In terms of payment, this salon (or at least Amanda) charges by the hour and the tip is included in the price. I love that. Saves me from doing math. Lol. Conclusion: if you need your color fixed, go to Amanda for a consult. She's THE BEST.

Brook is not a hairstylist, she's an artist who takes colors and creates masterpieces. She is also one of the few Redken certified color specialists!

I waited until I had a few experiences here before portraying an accurate picture of this Clovis Gem! In the heart of old town clovis sits an upscale salon with trendy and very talented artists that take incredible care of their clients. Everything from the greeting to the pampering of gourmet local coffee, sips of wine or a snack plate accompanied by a tip towel for cleaning. This place makes me feel like I'm in a salon in a big city with a small town vibe. I love the vibe and the styles. My stylist happens to be the owner Anna and she has and continues to do wonders with my hair! Finding her has been a life saver! She does wonders with color, I happen to be a blonde, but she can do it all... her cuts are amazing too! Her entire staff does excellent work I have seen clients coming in and out always happy.

I found this place by chance and I absolutely love it. Hannah is amazing! I came in with horrible chunky highlights that had turned brassy. Hannah was able to completely change the look to a more natural color with cooler highlights that actually complement my hair. I enjoyed the service and appreciated the expertise. I will be coming here to work with Hannah from now on.

I felt very pampered coming here. Every one was so nice from the time I called for my appointment till when I left the salon. I love my haircut and my purple hair. Had it done for a wedding and I received so many compliments. My son even said I looked younger. I will be going back and would recommend Kyli .

This is the best salon!! Great service, my hairstylist Brooke is amazing! I've had so many compliments about style and color. It's so relaxing, not to mention the perks of having a kuppa joy or glass of champagne offered while you get your hair done in a cute and clean salon!! Love this place!!

I've actually never had a haircut done so poorly that i felt the need to get it fixed by someone else less than a week later. & honestly the mistakes are just laughable AND avoidable! I had medium length hair & wanted a SOFT bob. i told the stylist that whenever i get my haircut shorter stylists rarely listen that my hair is thick & gets bulky on the ends so i stressed multiple times to. Thin. Out. The. Ends. (Spoiler alert: she didnt)The appt started fine. We started a little late because she ran over with another client. Once i got in the chair we ran through all that i wanted & she said was going to cut excess length, do the highlights i requested then fine tune the bob cut while wet & dry (i was happy with this - you cant just send someone off NOT fine tuning hair while dry ESPECIALLY a bob.)The only point of the highlights is that i sat in the bowl longer than i ever have before? I have dark brown hair but ive lifted my hair countless of times before & i wasnt even asking for high contrast highlights so i didn't understand why i was in the bowl for so long. Weird. Not a big deal EXCEPT this salon runs on 'by hour' basis. I kept checking my phone thinking this is really eating into my timeHair is colored, washed & its time for the cut. Again i asked for soft ends & to be thinned out because my hair is thick. She starts off with the base length which i like. Then someone came into the salon, maybe another coworker & my stylist says shes going to 'try out the shears' right in front of me. & I immediately think 'has she never used these before...?' But trying to give the benefit of the doubt I dismissed my intuition. So she cuts the length all around & then she starts to dry my hair. Remember SHE said she would fine tune/thin out my hair once it was dry. But we are going over time & she admits "we're going to go over the 2 hours but i wont charge you extra since we started late.' Well thats a relief. I cant imagine having paid $240 for a crap haircut. As she starts to drying she asks what my hair routine is like & i said 'preferably nothing. I dont like to add heat to my hair.' & asked if she had suggestions for sea salt sprays. She pivots to 'would you like me to diffuse your hair?' & ive had that done once before so i was excited for that option over getting a blowout. Im not sure why this didnt register in my head at the moment but her diffusing my hair 1) took forever 2) meant she wouldnt have flat edges on my hair to finish the the cut as SHE SAID SHE WOULD DO, my biggest concern: making sure the ends are soft & thinned out. Also it was weird b/c she asks my hair routine, i said minimal to no routine & she proceeded to gel & oil my hair so the waves would be pronounced. i ask 'oh youre going to thin out the ends right?' & she literally gaslights me. She said 'oh i already thinned it when it was wet. We dont want to thin it too much' & im not really one to be confrontational & i can tell she's trying to rush me out because newsflash: we're going over time & her next client was waiting. Props to her: she sure did hide all the errors well by gelling my hair & diffusing it. But i hate product in my hair so i go home wash it all out & then start to notice the damage:poofy on the ends & big bulky sectionsIts literally uneven hahaha In the front & throughout there are these blocky sections that dont sit right. I even had a small section of hair literally a whole inch longer than the bob! WildNot soft at all. Tbh if my hair isnt curled it looks like Edna from The Incredibles w/o the bangsThis was all so unfortunate especially because i feel this all couldve been avoided. & the WORST red flag was as she was done tousling my hair to hide the errors she legit says to me ' if you feel something isnt sitting right just let me know & we can fix it.' Okay 1) why would you admit that im probably going to notice errors? Why not just do it right the first time? 2) why would i come back to someone who couldnt do a technically specific cut? Hahaha its hilarious. & I mentioned i live an hour away so thanks for being considerate of that. I'll

What's the point of having a social media account to promote your business when you're not going to be competent in responding to messages when people do inquire? I was really looking forward to setting an appointment with the owner, Anna but because she left me on "seen" not once, but twice on Instagram. At first I thought she's probably a busy salon owner who would eventually get back to me to fit me into her schedule. Then when I see that she's been active on her Instagram stories but never respond back to any of my messages I figured she doesn't want my business. I am truly disappointed in the owner's professionalism. Overall, this is just my review and first impression solely based on my inquiry through social media with the owner. I hope no one else will never have to experience anything like this. My only intention in writing this review is to bring awareness to the owner and other hair stylists in the business.
