Provisions Restaurant & Bar

So nice we dined here twice in a row during a recent trip to Yosemite. Love the cozy atmosphere and the food is delicious. We enjoyed every dish and even ordered the special as an entree both nights! Provisions is located in the Groveland hotel. Love that they have live music on some nights and welcoming. Seating is limited inside but there's more seating outside and a nice ambiance. Wish Provisions was closer to me, because I'd be a regular! We had a variety of drinks, salad, the smoked salmon toast app, pasta special (chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, etc) and the lemon blueberry marscapone cake! All were delicious.

We stopped by for a late drink and bite, it was a pleasant ambience with friendly and attentive bartender Nora. The drinks were on point, and the food was good. They also have outdoor seating in the back of the property. We would love to come by again the next time we come to Yosemite.

Ok so our expectations were pretty low given we are in Groveland (nothing against Groveland it's lovely but lots of tourists rolling through, captive audience and all that), and holy cow did this place deliver. It's in the historic Groveland Hotel and has that rustic charm (hammered tin wall sconces, etc.), but then here comes the menu - burgers, ribs, rib eye...expected, check. But wait a second....vegetarian curry? And deep fried mushrooms (this Wisconsin boy can't turn down deep fried fungi)?!? And damn if chef Jacob didn't pull it all off brilliantly, with my Indian wife and step-mom (both quite picky and excellent cooks in their own right) raving about the execution. Kids loved the burger and ribs, and my ribeye was perfect. Service was friendly and prices were pretty reasonable. Even had some nice wines and tasty dessert. Highly recommend - thank you Provisions for a delicious meal we won't hesitate to come back!

In Groveland overnight for our vacation to Yosemite. We had dinner here on August 3, 2024. They just hired a new chef who was previously working in Montana. The meal Exceeded all expectations I had so I was asking our server questions. Our appetizer was the salmon crostini, delicious flavor. I had the salmon dish with the pistachio crust, rice and asparagus. Asparagus was perfectly done. The salmon temperature was perfect. It was flown in fresh. I'm almost sad I don't live here all the time. I would definitely make this a regular stop. My son had the hamburger and french fries, which was also perfectly done and very juicy. A great meal. The service was also wonderful.

The food is so delicious that we forgot to take pictures. The salad is so good and chicken Marcella is so delicious. Highly recommended!

On the drive into Yosemite, Groveland is a good lunch stop. During Covid and after the summer high season, we found little open. Luckily, Provisions had everything we were looking for. A nice salad and sandwich and a place to sit outside. We could have eaten inside, but we are avoiding that during the pandemic. My husband enjoyed his Pliny the Elder...next time, I'll try the hard cider on tap.

Great place. Outdoor seating. Order at the counter and they will bring food out. Went with a large group and it was really great food and wine. Their rib eye is a must have!

After a long hike at Yosemite we were starving and after reading the reviews about Provisions we decided to give them a try. As many others have said, the menu is limited and that is just fine..The Thursday menu included a Smoked Portobello Mushroom, Carolina BBQ and Tri Tip Sandwich. Not that any of the entrée were bad but the Portobello won the night. The mushrooms were melt in the mouth and just fantasticThe next time we go to Yosemite this place will be our go to place after a long hike

So I think it just one person who runs the hotel, kitchen and serves the food so that explains the worlds smallest menu. LOL We had the grilled cheese, salad and draft beer and it was good. Check it out.

Chef Jacob personally came out to our table and recommended dishes that turned out wonderful! We had the Filet Mignon, King Salmon, Caprese Pesto Sandwich, and California Chicken Sandwich.A few more vegetarian options would be good - maybe a pasta dish? But, otherwise, simply perfect. It was the best meal we had on our trip!
