What a great toy store for Fresno. With Toys R Us and (dating myself) Arthur's long gone it's hard to find a good toy store. Located in an upscale strip mall at Nees and Blackstone this one managed to have a very good selection of quality toys. Walking through real quick I did notice plenty of trucks, games and educational toys. My time was limited here so I had to focus on my mission... Lego! They had a dedicated back room with sets stacked to the ceiling. Most of the main series were available (I did not see architecture or the excessively big sets). Some seemed a few dollars overpriced while others matched MSRP. The staff was friendly and wanting to help. Being a local business I was happy to pay the extra $3-5 versus dealing with the big box stores. I was happy with my purchase and would recommend to others.

I think it is the only true Toy Store in Fresno other places have toys but they are not toy stores. I wanted a magic kit for my 7 year old granddaughter and they had an assortment of them.

I had a few hours to kill and wandered into this store but I'd been eyeing it for the longest time. I'm so glad I was able to! Just walking in and my imagination was sparked. I was warmly greeted right away and the clerk offered his help if I needed it. They have every toy you can think of, it seems. I felt like a kid again. I tried my hardest to not spend too much but I know I'll be back time and time again. I easily spent over an hour browsing and shopping. Everyone I encountered was kind and helpful. They had great attitudes! While I was there a little boy came in wearing a birthday crown and he was so excited to pick a toy. Of course! What an awesome place to take a kid for a special occasion. I also saw a woman who was upset about her recent purchase. The cashier was patient with her even though she seemed to be annoyed. He offered her an exchange and she was okay after that. I was just overall impressed. Ample parking in a shared shopping center lot. Plenty of other stores to also visit while in the area. Nearby restaurants to grab lunch.

nice toy shop! this is a great place to get thinker type toys for children to actually engage in imaginary play. they have play dolls here that they don't carry at target, walmart etc, such as the "lorens" dolls handmade in spain. they have a great selection of corolle dolls & other one off doll brands. we were looking specifically for something minnie mouse as a present to our little niece who loves minnie mouse but they only had a tiny selection of disney things, so we picked out something different. the lady who helped us at the register was so helpful. she told us about a 25% coupon in their catalogue i had no idea about, and she pulled out the catalogue & applied the discount towards our purchase! that was a nice surprise as it saved us $10.00!!there's a huge selection of calico critters, which was wonderful; unique puzzles you don't see often..& so much more. if you're looking for thinker type toys, professor toy is highly recommended. i'm sure you'll find something here for kids of all ages 0-102.one recommendation for this shop would be to control their climate better. it's way too stuffy for such a crowded space & with kids all around & sniffles being prevalent esp during fall/winter months, germs spread faster when the environment is sticky & humid. that's why i took off 1 star.

Great place kids of all ages! Unlimited selection of toys too! Really nice people that work there and very helpful with answers. Highly recommend this place we will return soon.

Fresno has very few dedicated toy stores. Professor Toy is a good store to find various things for children of all ages. Being a small store in a high-end shopping center, the selection is not as diverse or extensive as toy stores in large cities. There are many duplications of similar items in the store rather than a wide variety of items. Prices can be high. The selection of educational toys is good and there are opportunities for the children to actually try out the toy, to play with it. That is the best part. Service can be indifferent.The store is tucked away in the southwest corner of the Vilagio Center. There is plenty of parking.

My daughter LOVES this store. It is so sweet and looks exactly like what a toy store is supposed to look like for kids. When you walk in, there is immediately a little corner where you can play with those adorable calico critters. Then as you walk through the aisles, there are sections for books, cat and the hat, shopkins, kitchen/house toys. They even have a section for babies and toddlers. The prices are decent. They're not bargain toys, but the prices are definitely not outrageous. Just decently priced. However, this is not a place that you can just stop in real quick to grab a toy. Anticipate at least a half hour to let your kiddo roam around and soak up all of the fun and explore all of the little toys and areas of the store!

The Antidote To TargetI don't know why I've taken so long to say something nice about this store, considering all the compliments I've had in recent years on the things I've bought there. "Oh my god! that's amazing! Where did you get that? "That's what I'm used to hearing when I go shopping at ProfessorProfessor Toy. It reminds me of the good little toy boutiques we had in the San Francisco of my boyhood. Thousands of items from $2 to $200. Something for everyone from infant to frolicsome adulthood. Remote controlled shark blimp to delight a four year-old. $5 science trick to fascinate a 12 year-old Knowledge Nerd. Their enthusiastic staff has never failed to help me come up with something to amaze with. And they gift wrap!
