Plazuelas Mexican Restaurant & Taqueria

I had a great experience at this Mexican restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious--some of the best Mexican food I've had in a long time. The atmosphere was equally impressive, with beautiful paintings, great decor, and warm lighting that made the place feel cozy and inviting. The bathrooms were spotless, which is always a plus.Even though the restaurant was very busy, the staff was incredibly attentive and made sure we were well taken care of. The wait was about 30 minutes, but it was worth it. I noticed some amazing-looking cocktails on the menu, though I didn't get a chance to try one this time.I stopped by on my way out of Yosemite, and I'm so glad I did. If you're in the area, I highly recommend checking this place out!

We had no idea there was a really good Mexican place in Oakhurst...and were so happy to find this gem. We went for dinner before a movie - making it a perfect stop before the entertainment. Somehow I always end up getting flautas at a new restaurant, it's my go to. Plazuelas did not disappoint. They were crunchy, full of flavorful meats, and sat atop a glorious plate of rice, beans and the extras. They also have horchata and jamaica- two of the favorite aguas frescas that are rare finds. Now we know where we'll have at least one dinner out whenever we're in town

So glad we chose this restaurant for our dinner while visiting. The enchiladas verdes with birria were delicious--loved the spicy green chili sauce. My wife was adamant about getting something smaller and was very pleased with a single sope. The others had wet burritos; even the regular (not super) one was very large. The presentation of all the food was great, too, unlike the average Mexican restaurant. It was pretty noisy due to the crowd, some acoustic dampening would be a plus.

The food was great and had a ton of flavor. The staff was super friendly and provided good service. It wasn't very busy when I went but they only had one working restroom which was one at a time. You also only get one free thing of chips and then have to buy more chips. My friend and I didn't have to get another order but it's weird and unlike any other Mexican restaurant I've been to.

Visiting Yosemite and stopped in this town to eat. This place was recommended by Yelp so decided to try it. Went lunch time 11am-12pm on a Friday. We were sat down instantly. Took a min for our waiter to come take our order. But he was very friendly. We started with 4 flautas. The guacamole that came with it was bad. But the flautas were very crunchy! Almost burnt. But the inside seasons was good. 4/10I got 3 sopes. 1 shrimp, 1 al pastor, 1 carne asada. Shrimp was probably the best one 10/10. Al pastor 8/10 (some fatty pieces) carne asada 9/10. My husband got a chicken burrito. Not wet. Husband said he'd give 8.5/10 for his burrito. He said ingredients weren't dispersed evenly so would get bites of pure beans etc. The shop is cute. Cute decorations. Dim lights. Love the wall of crosses. Nice spot! Tons of parking! We came in our short bus.

If you're coming back from Yosemite, stop by Oakhurst for a lunch break at Plazuelas!Admittedly, this was NOT a planned stop for us, but Dad decided he was hungry and wanted something to eat before we finished the rest of our road trip back home. I wasn't expecting much from this restaurant, but the food here SMACKS. I love that the tortillas and tortilla chips are homemade. Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. Parents got burritos, and from the looks on their faces, I would say these were some of the best burritos they've had! My brother and I opted for their tacos - ribeye for my brother, shrimp for me. The shrimp was grilled so beautifully! I left so satisfied. All in all, I would 1000% recommend Plazuelas.

Pretty good Mexican place in oak hurst. I enjoyed by veggie burrito. Can easily share the super burrito with 2 pleople portion sizes are big! We also ended the meal with churros which was the highlight. One star deduction for not enough veggie options. A veggie fajita on the menu would be awesome.

Closed at 7:40 when they are supposed to be closed by 9pm? An hour and 20 minutes before closing and we are denied. We drove from Fresno with a plan to hit up this spot and the hostess tells us her boss said they are now closed at 8. Again, it was 7:40 pm. Very disappointing and absolutely absurd to be honest. 0 stars if I could.

This place did not disappoint! We ordered The Huarache and is was delicious. It had tons of flavor.
