So came to check this place out, i only brought in a few items to sell. Nike items and Ugg. The girl who assisted me was nice and gave me a $5 off coupon for anything in the store. They purchased the items I brought in except a pair of gray Levi's, apparently they no longer accept skinny jeans. No problem. I was okay with the amount they gave me, I also found a pair of brand new Adidas sweat pants, tags stilll attached that normally retailed for $50, I paid only $5 because I used the coupon they gave me!!Would I return, No. it's not really my thing. But I saw so many people enjoying the deals and browsing around! Also very nice employees.

I don't shop here often but I did give it a chance at donating some clothes. I ended up giving them 2 bags of clothes with a pair of shoes. The next day I went to pick up my clothes and they let me know that they weren't able to take anything, which i was fine with. But when I got home, i realized everything came back except for my shoes. Not very cool to rip someone off let alone lie to them in my honest opinion.

I stopped by to look for some clothes with my girlfriend last night, when all 5 of the employees were chatting the whole time amongst each other about how they think evolution is fake, and that they think the people who believe it are 'stupid'. This is putting it lightly, as the experience was very offputting and uncomfortable. They were barely working, didn't ask anyone if they needed help, and there was a line to checkout with only 1 of them on the register. Regardless of your personal beliefs, you should keep work professional and be there to work, not to laugh with each other, make fun of other people or to hang out.

I stumbled upon this place on yelp because I wanted to take my teen thrifting after dinner on a Sunday. Most places aren't open past 5ish, but this place closes at 7. Win win for Mom and daughter shopping duo! Since August, I've been here maybe like 7-8 times. My favorite buys so far are the several pairs of shoes I've scored at crazy deals. I found a pair of Nike Air maxes for under $20, originally over $100, a checkered pair of Van's for under $20 originally over $60. I also got a pair of Nike running shoes in pretty new condition for under $20 and it was over $100 originally. I also have purchased a bunch of jeans for under $20 as well. I LOVE their jeans section it's so extensive. I can go in here and stay here trying on items for hours, it's one of my favorite Fresno finds. My 18 year old comes here all the time too. I've signed up for the text messaging and get notifications when they have sales. I also get discounts when I rack up a certain amount of points. My only complaint is some, but few items are ridiculously priced. Some linty, crumby items that you can get for new for the same priced are elsewhere, but I don't count this against them too much because the prices are more cheaply priced than not. They have all kinds of items from shoes, purses, jackets, sweaters, jackets, boots, sneaks, active wear, sunglasses, etc. Great to come and take your frugal self for a relaxing day out for a few hours and save some bucks.

It was my first time ever going here and even after reading the reviews I should have just not gone but I was like let me take my shot. So I had called and spoke with Melani. I asked her a couple questions such as what do they accept and so on. She had told me they were mainly taking fall clothes but if I had any besides that I could still take it in. I had decided I was only going to take in my fall clothes like sweaters and jackets just to try it out. I took in two bins full and in great condition to only return and she tells me that the majority of my clothes was out of season and that they were only purchasing 3 items. I right away thought that was a joke! A lot of my clothes was in great condition and in season but this will be the last time I ever go here. Don't waste your time!

Employees were extremely rude and made us go next door to ross to buy reusable bags because our bag was slightly torn at the very bottom. Literally spent an hour here waiting for them to "check" two bags and a pair of $150 boots still in the box my friend brought in. Just for them to not even glance at them the entire time. When she walked up to the counter to check on the status of her bags the bratty teenage girl they gave working at the front just said "Uhhh yeah we don't really take things like this.." What does that even mean? Half of the clothes in her bags were urban outfitters with the tags still on. You guys sell used shein and target clothes lmfao?? Pretty sure these girls were just too lazy to look through anything and just turned us away. No point in shopping here unless you just want some second hand clothes from fast fashion websites that are already out of style. Huge store full of last year's cheap "trendy" pieces.

I had an absolutely horrible experience at Plato's Closet today. After waiting over 40 minutes for them to check the cameras, they admitted to losing a bag of my clothing that I was trying to sell. The store manager was not present, and I was offered a mere $20 for my missing items, which were worth far more than that. What's even more frustrating is that they have no idea where my bag went. Throughout this entire ordeal, there was no compassion or customer service offered, leaving me feeling disappointed and disrespected. This level of service is unacceptable. I would ask management and corporate to look at the cameras and see how this was handled.I will be calling and emailing the corporate office to address this issue. I expected better treatment and accountability from a store like Plato's Closet, and I hope they take this matter seriously. I would not recommend them based on my experience.

The girls who work here are very rude. I waited 3 hours. Brought in 2 bags of clothes and they only took 1 item. Waste of time. Rude responses. No decorum. It looks like they just hire young teenagers who don't have any human decency. Specifically location on Shaw by fashion fair.

The place is horrible, if you're trying to trade your clothing make sure you don't bring a white trash bag with the red string! ( we took clothing that was men Nike/ ) & was told it would take 2 hours to be sorted. We come back and they said they "lost" the bag. We wait so they could check there surroundings & then they say we gave it to the wrong person!? Soo, we're just waiting to see if the person working can call the person they gave the wrong clothing too? 1, the person didn't answer 2, how inconvenient is this for myself? They gave me 30 dollars for the bag they lost & they didn't want too, after I was haggling them they gave in . This place is a joke, I bet it was an inside job? How do they loose it when you put all our names on the bag? I want management calling, so if you see this know I want a response how the hell you gave away my stuff to someone else?!!

I used to like coming here to sell clothes - it was actually decent. Now, the past few times I've gone - it feels like I'm being scammed. Just recently, they took TWO basically brand new jackets that were 50$ each when I got them and only offered me 17$ for BOTH of them. Another time they took over 20 items and only have me 15$ for the first whole thing. All these things were name brand and barely used.Don't waste your time here - the employees are rude and probably too lazy to adequately go through your things.0/10. Do not recommend.
