STAY AWAY I initially called and was told Dr Golden is covered by my insurance. I needed a new doctor in order to get RX refills of my thyroid meds as my prior PCP no longer accepted my insurance. I made an appt and on the visit they told me to pay my $15.00 co pay. Did that, met with the nurse practitioner and went over my records. She ordered new labs and we set a future appt. I used Quest for labs and the phlebotomist said the doctor's office spelled my first name wrong. She didn't want to draw until the office fixed it but I assured her I would make sure it was corrected as soon as I left. I called the office right in the Quest parking lot before I even left for home. Told them of the error and to please have the doctor look over the labs when they come in so she will refill the meds. I followed up with an email as well, for good measure. After a few days I called the office and was told they don't have the labs yet. A few days later, same. I should mention that I had no clue at that time I could sign up with Quest and get the labs sent to my chart so I continued calling the office. This goes on a few weeks and now I am real danger of running out of meds. Each time I call, Karen answers and each time it's like 50 First Dates. I have to explain all over again how they misspelled my name and labs are missing and need refill, etc. Karen will then either send me to someone's VM, where I have to explain it all again and whom they never return the call or she would put me on eternal hold. One such call (maybe the 12th), after eternal hold, she came back and said my lab slip was ready. Lab slip? I had been talking to Karen nearly every day for 2 weeks and apparently not once did she actually ever listen to what the issue was and was now ordering me new labs. I knew right then and there I would never step foot in that office again. So, the next day I started all over again with a new doctor, asked to be seen asap due to no meds, got in the next day and new doctor was able to access my labs and refilled my RX right then and there. It was so easy. "Easy" though is not something the staff at Dr Golden's office practices. To further complicate things, they mis-coded my visit as a specialty visit and not a regular office visit and now my 15-dollar co-pay is 30. While 15 dollars is hardly worth fighting over, or even worth calling the insurance company, I feel too angry with this office to let it go. So, I called my insurance and they said what I already knew, that it was coded incorrectly. I called the office and left a message of the same but no one returned my call. I did my part and yet still kept getting bills, which, does not surprise me considering how the office has not done one single thing right since day one. Not to mention me calling and cancelling that future set appt only to get an appt courtesy call a few weeks later, but I digress. Finally, I get a call from the billing staff demanding payment and I explain again the situation and she tells me to call my insurance company. I tell her I did and what needed to happen (re-coded). Now I continue to get bills, including one threatening to send to collections. They won't get paid. This is the most incompetent business I have ever had the misfortune of contending with. I actually feel sorry for the doctors who work there and lose business over their incompetent staff. But, and I'm guessing here, I imagine the staff, or a select few, are related to the doctor as that is the only reason I can fathom as to why they are still employed.

Dr Golden is open-minded, gracious, intelligent, has a great bedside manner, and seems highly competent. The nurse who administers IV treatment is professional, kind, and she genuinely listens/hears client concerns. They earn five stars, but, sadly, other staff members ... not so much. Unfortunately, the other staff members we've had experience with are totally unprofessional & seemingly downright illogical. Their irrational, illogical, over-reactionary responses far outweigh the advantages of Dr Golden & the IV nurse. Example: Hubby and I called to get help from the office when hubby was sick and homebound. Instead, we got an earful of judgment from Carmen. Wow. We needed help -- not an irrelevant, illogical, unsubstantiated, judgmental rant/lecture on what hubby "should've" done before we called for help. (Hubby's debilitating condition prevented him from doing what Carmen was scolding him that he "should've" done.)Grateful that once I brought up that her scolding wasn't addressing the purpose for our call, Carmen moved out of "shoulda-coulda-woulda land" and back to the relevant topic at hand -- my husband's suffering -- and she then prescribed a med that helped (thank you, Carmen!), but... the damage was done. Judgmentalism & a lecture/rant re: hubby NOT taking a med that is known to HARM ppl who suffer from the condition he suffers? Really? Scolding & judging when we're desperate for help? Unprofessional to the nth degree. Was her lecture/rant out of fear? Concern? I don't know her motives, I cannot read her mind.... but she executed incredibly poorly, and that's been typical of hubby's experience at this office (except w/ Dr G & the IV nurse). Carmen's interpersonal communication skills seem significantly inappropriate and insufficient for anyone in any helping profession. It seems she's competent in her area of expertise (DNP), tho. She's not the only one who hubby has experienced something like this with, at this office. We're extremely sad, disappointed, and very upset. Dr Golden seems to be a knowledgeable, caring doctor with excellent interpersonal skills, but he's not the one who spends the most time with patients (at least, in hubby's experience). Leaving negative reviews really is not my thing.... The bulk of my reviews are positive and encouraging to the biz owners. But I'm beyond-disappointed at how staff have epically failed, that I cannot *not* leave this negative review. It takes a lot for me to leave a negative review. :( I'm sad that Dr Golden cannot seem to find staff members (maybe they're contracted out?) that listen like he does, who are kind like he is, and who can think/communicate logically and reasonably like he does.

Part 1I'm a relatively healthy person and only started going here because I needed a referral for a surgical procedure. Which I did, and I ended up working with Carmen, over the next year and a half, who I actually enjoyed. She was great. I needed minimal maintenance/care overall, and had minimal requests and needs. Carmen was receptive to that idea, and was helpful and nice. Unknowingly to me, though, continued care required jumping through an ungodly number of unnecessary hoops created by every single office staff member that I had displeasure of being forced to interact with Carmen put me on 3 low dose medications initially, which required quarterly lab work, to assure that they were actually helping, while also not hurting me, then adjusting the doses as needed. Authorization for labs were sent and I made my appointment. Starting with my very first appointment with Quest I had issues with my authorization. I had an 8 am appointment, but they had no record of my authorization. I wait until 9 for the office to open to push the authorization through again... no biggie, i think at the time, because it's a simple mistake and it's literally next door. This is unknowingly the beginning of a recurring problem lol. The next lab draw? Same problem. So, I start asking Golden's desk staff to confirm my authorizations. The next one goes smoothly. Every single lab after that, required me having to call, or go in, after Quest continued to not receive the authorizations that Golden's staff was insisting that they were sending. None of this would even be a problem if they ever answered the phone, or returned phone calls. Which leads me to a bigger issue. One of my meds required their assistance in resolving because there was a hang up with the pharmacy, them, and my insurance. I started trying to contact them about two weeks before my dose was going to run out, eventually actually running out. Again, not a big deal I think, because it's just a quality of life type medication. It's not anything that will affect my heart or any other vital organ, if I miss a few doses. Skip ahead almost 3 months... numerous voicemails unreturned... lost count of phone calls not answered. I finally get through to schedule my next routine evaluation... see pictures for continued story

I normally don't leave reviews on social media but I had such a negative experience with NP Carmen at Dr Golden's office today, I am jumping at the chance to warn patients about her. My dead goldfish has a better first impression and bed side manner than she did coming into the treatment room. For someone that doesn't have "MD" behind her name, she sure carries the aura of arrogance and entitlement. Unfortunately, I'm sure Dr. Golden has lost many patients because of her. I will be following that crowd. Carmen needs to spend a day or two in a chemotherapy room to put life in perspective!

I am a 62 year old male who has heart disease, diabetes, and high blood pressure. I also have 45 pieces of new metal parts in me from all of my various joint reconstructions, joint replacements and hernia repairs. Needless to say I also have chronic pain. I met with Dr. Golden 2 years ago after I walked in his door at 320 lbs. After a very serious discussion about the ridiculous nature of my eating habits (I'm a restaurant critic who eats out a lot), he recommended that I try a Keto Diet. Since I already loved my high protein diet of steak, chicken and fish, the discussion centered around eliminating, or at least reducing, my vast carb intake. For a Professional Eater such as myself, this was easier said than done. I needed to be nudged in the right direction. Without using any weight loss products whatsoever I lost 58 lbs. over the next 18 months. The funny thing is, it wasn't that hard....all I had to do was eliminate those useless carbs and then discuss my journey with Dr. Golden so he could pin point what I was doing right and what I was doing wrong. Six months ago I started to take the diabetes weight loss drug Mounjaro at his suggestion.... I lost another 18 lbs. While the Mounjaro can be a little costly (depending on your insurance) it did, in fact, help lower my A1C almost 2 full points in addition to the weight loss. This, after 18 months of Keto Diet which cost me nothing. My Chronic Pain has begun to improve a bit and I hope that will continue with further weight loss. As it turns out, a little nudge in the right direction can go a long way towards addressing a multitude of problems. I walked in his door at 244 lbs a couple of weeks ago wishing I had started coming in a lot sooner. I have lost a total of 76 lbs. thus far. Before I forget, the ladies in the office were all very nice and professional. No attitude, and quite helpful in getting my appointment schedule set up and refilling my prescriptions. In particular, I must mention Daisy the IV Nurse who made time for me on many occasions when I needed my "Myers's Cocktail" (a special blend of vitamins that gives me a huge blast of energy that I look forward to on a regular basis). Weight loss isn't easy, but it doesn't have to be that hard, either....IF you have the Right Doctor! Happy Holidays to Dr. Golden and his staff!

Run. This is by far the worst medical staff that exists. If you like waiting 2 + hours for an appointment and having a billing department that can't communicate your bill- this is your office. The level of care this staff shows is horrendous. They care more about peddling weight loss snacks less about your care. The people on the phones are brain dead

My husband and I have been going to Dr. Golden for several years, and he is the best physician I have ever had. He is extremely knowledgeable and thorough and catches everything wrong with you, and if you need, he sends you to a specialist. He listens and is very friendly and kind and spends all the time with you that you need. And works with you in regards to your treatment and answers all your questions. His staff is very friendly, and they always get back to me and order tests that I need. For most of my lab work and any test that I need, I usually go to St Agnes.

I had an appointment this morning with Stephanie, Dr Golden's PA in Easton. I was so impressed with her demeanor and knowledge. I started reading a few of the reviews that have posted and frankly I am dumbfounded. My husband has been going to Golden for about 5 yrs and I started in Jan. We have never experienced any trouble with the staff and communication has never been an issue. We have found his office to be of great benefit and the staff to be friendly and helpful

I was sad when I had to leave Doctor Golden. I adore him and at the time his PA was Carmen who I adored as well. The office has always been helpful. I appreciated that I could take care of my Cardio as well as my general health all under the same roof. I miss them and have moved to Kaiser. Never had to wait a million years to be seen! Miss you Doc...... Love the Hagerman family.
