I am not a vegetarian by any means but the vegetarian plate they serve is something I wake up craving regularly. - The baba ganoush is smoky and flavorful with an amazing texture.- The hummus is silky smooth and doesn't have the funk that especially store bought hummus can have.- The tabbouli is nice, bright and acidic.- The falafel is not too dense and seasoned perfectly.- The pickles are the perfect pairing with the rich dips.- Their pita bread is also very chewy and fresh, my ONE COMPLAINT is you only get one piece of pita bread for an astronomical amount of dips so I always end up buying an extra package.This portion usually lasts me at least two meals, but I could also see it being a great thing to bring for friends to share at a party.Service is a tad slow but that just gives you time to explore the market and also food this good takes time and is definitely worth the wait.

Papaya fresh is one of the best Middle Eastern stores that I've ever came across. I live in Orange County and we have many Middle Eastern stores that do not come close to this place.First of the hummus with meat is to die for one of the best hummus I've ever had and I'm a great cook so my review is authentic.Second, they have the best bread hands-down no other Arabic bakery can touch their bread. I wish we had them in Orange County the best Arabic Middle Eastern store you can visit.

Papaya Fresh Market offers a fantastic variety of Middle Eastern food and beverages, which I really appreciate. It's not always easy to find some of these unique ingredients and snacks in regular grocery stores, so having a place like this is a real gem. Whether I'm looking for fresh pita, tahini, or specialty drinks, I know I'll find something interesting every time I visit.However, the store could definitely use a bit more care when it comes to cleanliness and organization. The shelves feel a bit chaotic, with items out of place or poorly stocked. It's not dirty to the point where it's a dealbreaker, but it would be so much more enjoyable if the store were cleaner and more organized.That said, I'll most likely be back because the product selection is worth it. I appreciate having a market like this nearby, especially with such an emphasis on foods that connect to a specific cultural experience. It feels good to support a business that brings those flavors into the community.If Papaya Fresh Market could invest just a little more in keeping things tidy, I think it would improve the shopping experience a lot. But even as it stands, it's a place I can see myself visiting again when I need those harder-to-find ingredients.

Shawarma corner is inside Papaya Fresh international market. It's s nice little Mediterranean market. I really love their Falafel! The Gyro sandwich I had was really good too. Recommend giving them a try!

Disappointed. Had been before and it was great. This time, not so much. Chicken was so over cooked, it was hard to eat. Grape leaves were super oily and not very flavorful. And to top it off, they were out of pita bread. How is that possible? Way too many good Mediterranean restaurants in town. Won't be back

There is a restaurant/area to order fresh/hot food at the back of this supermarket and the food here is so good! Coming in at around $10-14 for an entree or plate and with a generous serving the value is definitely there. I went with the chicken kebab plate and the chicken shawarma plate. Each plate comes with basmati rice cooked to aromatic perfection with cardamom and cloves, fresh vegetable salad and some pickled veggies, hummus, garlic sauce, and a large pita. The combination of each of these individual elements into a dish is absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this hidden gem. Overall,Taste value authenticity

I didn't realize this was so much more than just a market. You can also order plates of food and there is a little sitting section towards the back to eat your food. I like that their produce was pretty unique with prices being about the same price as you would find in most local grocery stores and sometimes they were a little cheaper. I appreciate that they carry fresh bunches of mint for $.79 and cilantro was 2/$1. However what made me uneasy about the refrigerated produce area was that the grated tops that has the water drip system looks like it hasn't been cleaned in ages. There was a lot of black, rusty/moldy sections. I do like how the fresh meats are covered in plastic wrap in the refrigeration displays. So I can appreciate them keeping the meats cold and sanitary. It's a great place for buying unusual spices, nuts and dried fruits. They also offer so many canned items that are hard to find in traditional grocery stores. The bakery smelled amazing. I love that they even had some fresh sugar free baked goods. All in all, a great international goods market place. Quite the experience! I didn't order any food but next time I will have to try.

This is the store you want to check out when in FresnoThey have CHEAP prices compared to other locations! They have good produce , chocolates drinks coffee tea And most imp they have BAKERY! Yum YUM! Customer service is nice - met one kind and sweet Armenian lady she was super nice! You can find variety of products from the middle east

I found worm in some package I bought from them. I heard from people they told me most their items expires and not in good shape, but I didn't believe them until I try from the papaya market. Never shop from there anymore.

Everything is amazing here, Halal foods & Groceries is hard to come by. I loved it! Great peaceful atmosphere.
