Management is awesome. Janice cares-- she advocates for the residents, she is an above and beyond manager. Lived there for four years-- couldn't stay because of changing life circumstances. But always felt safe. Great place to live, location is central, close to everything. Great people who live there too!

While management were nice, DO NOT get an upstairs corner unit. They tried to sell the vaulted ceilings as wonderful feature of the unit but it ended up being a major pain. The AC/Heating vents are way up in the ceiling and do little to nothing to cool/heat the apartments. As I worked from home I had no choice but to try and run the AC to stay cool and racked up PGE bills this past summer between $400-600+. When I asked them to check our AC unit they said it was working as intended and couldnt blow out air any stronger than it could. The windows would feel like oven doors the way the unit was positioned and always in the sun. It was suggested to us that they could ask to tint the windows to reduce the heat but nothing ever happened. Management suggested we precool the apartment by running our ac all weekend. I would run the AC beginning at 8am and would drop maybe 3-4 degrees at best for the entire day. If its over 90 outside dont expect your apartment to be cooler than 80-83. It'll only get under 80 passed 11pm-Midnight. We went out of town for a few days to get away from the heat and when we came back the thermostat read it was 94 degrees in the unit. You're better off investing in portable acs for your windows and space heaters because the unit was so poorly insulated it couldn't retain coolness or heat in the summer/winter. The walls are really thin and you can feel the vibrations of the music the neighbors would play late nights after 'quiet hours'. Filing a few noise complaints did little to help.Since all downstairs units supposedly have washer/dryers and the upstairs don't, they closed access to the downstairs laundry rooms and are renting them for storage. What you're left with are old, maybe 80s, washing machines and dryers that cost $2 per load and wont dry your clothes. We've rented a unit in the past downstairs a few years ago and back then it was fine, but this place has gone really down hill. Unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this place any more.
