I've been here quite a few times since they've opened earlier this week. First impression - space is really open and bright with natural lighting. It can however get quite loud and echoey when the restaurant is full and there is a line building up inside. It seems as if they worked out that kink a little bit this morning by moving the line out the door alongside the building. It definitely helped reduce the loudness inside. I've slowly become more of a coffee person, and their honey saffron specialty coffee did not miss! If you like tea, I strongly recommend the Bowl of Soul -- it is a chamomile-like tea seeped in milk. Very silky smooth and delicious! Food so far has been great! I recommend everyone try the OG breakfast burrito, the size is perfect and the quality of the ingredients gives it a lighter feel than a classic breakfast burrito. Their oatmeal bowls come with some butter on top -- it makes it a bit too rich for my taste, so I'd opt out if that's you too. Their lunch and dinner menu provides a cross between the freshness of an Heirloom salad and dressings/the richness and flavors of Butterfish sauces/the heartiness of a Mayd bowl. The wait staff at the registers have been very friendly and patient with explaining the menu to all of us newcomers. The runners in the lobby can be a little too eager to pick up plates from tables that are finishing up -- I had a young man try and pick up my granola bowl (which was very fresh and light) before I was fully done. No big deal, but I'd exercise some more patience before making rounds up to the table. He came by previously awkwardly close to check up on us without saying anything. A little "you folks still working on everything over here?" would help out with that awkwardness.I imagine all the kinks will be worked out as they get a better grip on the flow of service! I will definitely be coming back here often!!

Feeling slightly conflicted here. On one hand, the food is amazing. Heaven graces your senses with every bite. From a spicy egg sandwich to the tiny sample of my partner's breakfast burrito and finished with a shared cookie, all is masterful and the prices are great. Now here is where the issue arises: the coffee is not so great. For something that markets itself as a "cafe", the coffee is by far the most disappointing thing about it. I am quite a bit of a coffee person as all my friends know and I don't have the sweetest of teeth so I feel that my review must have some merit. It, quite frankly, tastes like flavored water. Now, not sure if it's the gigantic ice cubes or a lack of concentration but the drinks are heavily watered down. What does remain of the coffee or even chai perhaps, does not give the sense of anything to write home about. Due to the severe disappointment of the coffee itself, I was tempted to give this "cafe" 2 or 2/5 stars but the tinge of its entrée bumped it up towards a 3.However, considering the context of its recent debut, one must question if the coffee aspect is still an experiment underway. P.S.The ambiance of Otherside Cafe is also quite comforting once sat on their patio. The interior is also quite nice even if the blaring white palette and it's accompanying reverb can be too much at times, the patio with its beautiful flora is a complimenting contrast.

Definitely one of Central Valleys most high end Cafe's! My experience here was nothing short of amazing. The atmosphere of OS reflects an LA Cafe vibe. Modern, clean, & the ideal spot for content. Regardless of the line always being out the door, the staff never made me feel rushed or hesitated to answer any menu questions.Ordered: Iced Matcha Latte + Honey 9/10- Perfect amount of sweetness - High end MatchaAvocado Toast 7/10- Toast was hard - Could use more flavor (salt/lime)Snickerdoodle Cookie:- My 1yr old loved it! (it was huge)

I believe the owner also owns Saizon, Heirloom, Butterfish and Mayd. For what they offer, I've given them 5/5 stars with Saizon being my FAVORITE Resteraunt in Fresno area. Now uh... I'm sad to say.... this is a big L.Let's go over the wait time. This is the new hotness in town so all the housewives and the Clovis Community bros and sis' want a piece of the action. 8am arrival meant a 30 minute wait in line outside and a 20 minute wait for your coffee/snacks. When we left the line was even longer. Yeeeesh.Coffee? I did the spiced ube coffee. It was interesting, with a sliver of spice over top of cover. Flavor was okay, almost too milk tasting though. Now as a healthcare worker and my wife who is also working in surgery - we are addicted to coffee. This cofffee was so weak we were PASSING out on way home because it was so weak. I'm currently chugging a nespresso for my caffeine fix. My wife also said her coffee was very mid. Coffee at a COFFEE cafe? Big L.Now on to the food.... While waiting in line I joked that we should have went to arsenios to get our food faster. How little did I know lol. I got the steak burrito, my wife got some basic breaky burrito. And trust me.... They were basic. Like so basic it makes arsenios look like a 10/10. They're tiny and almost something I feel like we could make at home. The avocado toast I thought was a very mid 6/10 but my wife liked it. I thought it was basic avocado smeared over toast with some oil and onions. We ordered an apple muffin, cut into it, and it was a blueberry muffin lol. At that point, decided it wasn't even worth correcting as there were so many people there and workers looked anxious and overworked, we said F it.Would I go back?Nah, Arsenios is cheaper and better on doordash hahaha.

2/28/25 Getting breakfast for Sunday! Hot and New!!Of course, ended up getting much more! Worked out that way in the waiting....They were busy!! This time the line wasn't going out the door. Waited a bit and ordered a large Spiced Ube Latte with almond milk. Steak breakfast burrito and granola bowl. Also saw a Blueberry Lemon Muffin and got that for a dinner. I was going to get lunch too, but the worker told me they don't start serving lunch until 11. Paid for it and waited. Definitely an open atmosphere with lots of different seating set ups. I didn't take many pictures because there were A LOT of people. Full house! Laid back atmosphere. Music playing. They have seating to outside if you want too! Looks like a patio....Order was called and it was almost 11 by then. Asked the worker if I could order lunch. She asked the manager and he said okay. The worker that called my order recommended the South of the Border bowl. Got that for lunch and paid for it and waited more. Luckily, I noticed while waiting, the blueberry lemon muffin I ordered and paid for wasn't in there. Told the worker. Like I said, VERY busy!! This time the line was going out the door. She was happy to get me my blueberry lemon muffin. Waited a bit more...this time the line was going way out the door! Quite a bit more waiting. At least it's a nice, low key atmosphere. Waited a bit more...A bit bit more waiting....Received order later with a thank you! Wishing them the best with how busy it is! Lunchtime!South of the Border bowl was Really Great! DELICIOUS and flavorful! Steak cooked perfectly!! Good amount. Leftovers too!! Granola Bowl, steak breakfast burrito and lemon blueberry muffin look really Good for Sunday too!! I'll add it then. Make sure, if you go in, that you have the time! I was in there about an hour. It took about 15 min to order and 35 minutes to get first order. Then, another 15 minutes to receive the rest, 2nd order. It was worth it!! Make sure you check you check if you're picking it up too! Breakfast does looks Really Good for Sunday and muffin for a dinner! Appreciated the good service too!! Definitely Highly Recommended for the food! Makes sense why it's on the Hot & New list and why it's so busy! Good service too! Recommended!!

The decor, tables, etc makes for a great catch up session with friends. The food--- so so good! THE OG & Smoked salmon toast is a chefs kiss so good!!The iced Almond + Mint was just ok, especially if you like sweet drinks. I will need to try their other drinks in the future.

This place was AMAZING! From as soon as we walked in, to the menu and the esthetic! I got the Honey Saffron Latte, the Salmon Toast and the Granola bowl. Literally 10/10. The toast was full of flavor and everything just blended so well! The latte was sooo smooth, I cannot wait to go back and try more! The "Granola" bowl was full of fruit, chia seeds, Greek yogurt, basil leaves, AGAIN flavor was amazing! Everything here was nothing like I've ever tried before. Honestly part of me wants to tell NO ONE about this place, but here I am lol Service matched the food, exquisite! I will without a doubt be back ASAP!

Sunday @ 12:40 PMLine was out the door but moved rapidly. It was packed and you had to scope the area for seating. It was a beautiful open interior. Lots of people were working or reading, others were chatting with their company. I came here to study with a friend and found that they did not have wifi or readily available outlets. I ended up getting a steak burrito togo and it was ready for me in about 20 minutes. It's comically small for a burrito. However, this was truly a delectable bite. The potatoes added quite a bit of depth which balanced the eggs that I found to be bland and watery. I'd definitely get the steak breakfast burrito again.

If I could only rate on atmosphere and food alone, this would be an instant 5/5. This place is SO SO SO close to ticking all the boxes. Otherside is all the new hubub residing in The Row apartment shopping center. I believe they just had their opening week, and word caught fire because its always busy. I've been here three times, twice in the evening and once in the morning. I know going to a cafe later in the day is not really feasible, but I recommended it because the mornings get PACKED. Service is pretty fast and friendly. They do blast music, though, if you're not into that. Personally, they make it up because whoever is on aux got taste. Pricing isn't bad either, around $6 for drinks and $12-$15 for the dishes. The decor on the inside is really something special that you don't see in Central Valley. The warm tones, copious lightings, and an outdoor botanical patio with heating. They get an A+ just for aesthetics. This is easily the nicest looking cafe in town. On top of that, there is an insane amount of seating. Only downside is if you're trying to use this place to study. As a student, I was disappointed when I found that there weren't any outlets and the owners market the place as a "eat and go" type of situation. Sort of like YAVA. However, that's not stopping no one because every time I go so many people have laptops out doing work. Another EXTREMELY HIGH praise I have for this place is the food. Since its owned by the people who manage Heirloom, Saizon, Mayd, etc you know this stuff is going to be crazy... and it is. I highly recommend either an OG or steak breakfast burrito. The flavor they pack in that little tortilla is unforgettable and is mainly the reason why I keep coming back. The steak is so tender it melts in your mouth. The potatoes are crispy, the herbs and sauce are flavorful. People also sing praise of their baked goods, which I don't doubt. It seems like food is def their speciality. Now...the drinks. Specifically the specialty lattes are super disappointing with what they promise. I've had pretty much all of them and can safely say don't get anything iced. Something about their proportions and ice make every drink taste watered down. This downside suddenly muddles their complex notes. Getting the drinks hot saves them some grace, but a little more to be desired. Their best latte is the Honey Saffron (4/5), with the Ube Spiced (3.5/5) being my second recommendation. I just think with them being a new cafe and trying to have bold flavors without a solid foundation throws it off. I'm sure with time the drinks improve, and I'm also excited to see a rotating menu with how creative the people can be. TLDR: This place has so much potential and I want it to do well (and they are, duh, they're always busy). My main complaints are it isn't catered to a work/study space and the drinks hold them back.

O.M.G! baked goods galore! the cookies, muffins, banana bread were euphoric! get them warmed up!!!! i didnt have any of there food so idk what to say about any of that. the drinks are OK. the caffeine is there but the taste is meh. maybe i'll ask for it hot next time im in town. vibes are OK, feels like an urban outfitters cafe. just very loud and overstimulating when it gets busy!!!! service is amazing! the lines get awkward though and some of their customer base can be rude and self-entitled, almost got hit by a car walking on the way there and the two blonde girls driving decided to be bullies about it. some of the ppl inline had NO manners and just so much filler face all around. made me feel like i was visiting salt lake. maybe come at a less busier time!!
