Osaka Sushi & Japanese Cuisine

After a long day hiking at Sequoia my family and I were craving sushi! Everything we ordered did NOT disappoint. We now understand why this place had so many great reviews.

While the fish was decent, the portions were small and too pricey. I wanted to place a pick up order but they never picked up despite me trying different hours. At the front, there were additional specials not included on the menu. After ordering, I waited 15 minutes for my food. *Ultimate Chirashi: came with miso soup and salad. The miso soup was watery and bland. The salad had a nutty dressing and it was a tasty three biter. The ultimate bowl came with uni, fatty tuna, lean tuna, mackerel, escolar, albacore, salmon, tamago, shrimp, octopus, and snapper. Personally I didn't think this was an upgrade from a standard chirashi bowl given the middling quality of fish and thin cuts. The fatty tuna was the best piece as it was buttery. The shrimp, snapper, and octopus were tough and they left a bitter aftertaste and smell. *Tuna Roll: so small and thin. Strangely the roll was cut into 6 pieces instead of 8 with the center being noticeably long. The tuna was tender but the rice was under seasoned. As this roll was more expensive than other restaurants, I was expecting a larger portion. The quality varied depending on the fish and given the higher prices, I wanted more elaborate flavors. The portions should also be larger to reflect the price. Given my difficulty placing an order, I hesitate to return.

This is not a 4 star Japanese restaurant. The best part of the meal was our server Jonah S. He was upbeat, attentive and very friendly. We ordered lunch meals. A chicken Teriyaki with sushi and a Salmon Teriyaki with sushi. Both meals came with a side salad and miso soup. The salad was good. The miso soup was not. Jonah asked us if we knew that the sushi was not cooked. What? The sushi was below average. The rest of the meal just wasn't what we are used to. Sub-par. The menu states ask the server for the sake list. We did, and there isn't one. Ooookay. We noticed that the menu did have any nigiri, so we asked Jonah if the restaurant offered nigiri and he replied "Do you mean sushi?".

This was a great spot ! The sushi was so fresh and tasty! I love fish and sushi is always on my radar. It's hard to find a spot with fresh fish raw or cooked. I have to eat cooked sushi - I wish I could eat raw - The location was casual and service was good -I recommend this restaurant

It's always busy but they seat us down very quickly. Server was great. Sushi rolls were all made delicious Appetizer was great!My dad really enjoyed his shrimp teriyaki bowl

10/13/23 Getting lunch! Super Devil and Tornado roll recommended and picked. Funky Monkey appetizer recommended and ordered as well! The worker was great and said it would be ready in 20 minutes. I went in to get it. Very nice restaurant! Fancy! Low key & calm. Music playing on the radio & TVs up on the walls. Greeted upon arriving and said I was there to pick up. Paid for the order and the worker went to check on it. Came back and said they were waiting on the Funky Monkey to be completed. Waited a little bit more and the worker came back with a smile, handed it over and wished a good day! Thank you! =) Lunchtime! I got it set up. It's a lot of food! My portion of the Super Devil & Tornado Roll was fresh & Really delicious! Even better with the wasabi & soy sauce! Funky Monkey was Great too! Spicy & delicious! Great cream cheese flavor with it! It came with fresh, delicious ginger also! Mother said hers was Great! Leftovers too! Another meal! Really Great, Delicious lunch & Great service too! Highly recommended!

The best sushi restaurant in town! Our go to favorites are the TNT roll, Ichi roll and ninja roll. It was so good that i only was able to take a pic of the TNT roll .

Great food, clean calm sitting zone, quite. This is a place I stop by for dinner once a week, very tasty Japanese food in town, lots of choices.I like this restaurant. Recommended.

I love this place. Absolutely delicious appetizers of jalapeños stuffed! Great sushi. Amazing atmosphere and wonderful service. A great date spot.
