Orphan Annies Consignment & Alterations

Popped in here after getting our hair done at the beauty college. My mom and I were ooooing and ahhhhing over so many beautiful items in the store. There's a whole section of sparkling gowns I wish I could fit into. The plus size selection was minimal but I did find an Eloqui long cardigan which fits perfect.They have some designer items under lock and key and I purchased beautiful clip on earrings as well. Items appear to be on sale but not as marked so make sure you ask about the price. The lady running the store was so nice and I know if you needed her she would help personal shop for you.

The owner was lively, greeted me and offered her assistants if I needed help. But as I browsed, first time in the store, there only employee followed me around the store. Didn't greet me, just followed me around as I tried to shop. As an African-American woman, I just felt targeted and unwelcome. Will not return.

I stopped in to inquire about consigning some work clothes. I had gone to the consignment shop down on Van Ness first, but suits and professional wear don't seem to be very popular there. At Orphan Annie's, the clothes are more upscale. Casual clothes, clothes for the office and party wear. The owner was very nice and explained how consignment works at her store. At this time, though, they are not taking any items. Currently they have a 50% off sale, so if you are in to second hand women's clothing, check them out. They're on the SW corner of Herndon and First.

Gently Used Designer Brands at a great price! Orphan Annie's Consignment Shop is a real find. Purses, Jewelry, Shoes, Tops, Pants , Blouses, Jackets they have it all nicely displayed, separated by size and color.

Did not bother to look through clothing I took to sell. Poor business practice, and a bit on the rude side.

Loved it. Hit the in between season sales. Lots of nice higher and the clothes with already reasonable prices great selection.

This was the best experience I have ever had at a second hand store. The owner was so kind and they had the cutest most unique items. So high quality, clean, and affordable. I have been recommending to everyone I know!!! Can not say enough good things.

store overpriced- but some really nice up scale items- u can get in three up for 1/2 that price- but it was my first time, bought 3 tops and was told she's give to me for $60. bc it was right before my payday- but I was (accidently) up charged $5not overpriced for me- it's used clothing - same wear and tear as thrift stores

The used clothes are in great condition. Some prices are on the high side unless they are discounted. The owner can be rather rude.

The owner was very rude and unprofessional to me over the phone when I was trying to talk about her services and bring some really nice outfits in. She kept talking over me and misunderstood every word I tried to say to her, and she hung up on me!! I would not recommend this business at all. I had several business suits, party dresses, some with the tags still on them and her rudeness and foreign accent made it impossible to even speak to her on a professional level. I ended up taking all of the nice clean outfits to Hinds Hospice and got a nice big tax right off for them. They were very nice at Hinds.
