Oishii Express

This was my first time dining in. My bestie and I were in need of conversation and delicious food. We found it. The restaurant is self seating so we sat at the back table closest to the soft drink machine. We perused the menu while catching up and when we were ready we ordered at the counter. The staff is great. We ordered a dragon roll and the Oishi nachos. The nachos were an amazing surprise. I was prepared for them to be good but they were really good. These are definitely on my list to order again and again.

Me and my husband both agree that the Super Mario Roll is fantastic and should stay for good! More of this style of sushi would be great it tasted high quality!!

Excellent food and service too! Nice to see this place doing good business. We ordered the Super Mario roll along with the California roll, combo fried rice and teriyaki chicken. All were great, nice fresh taste and good presentation too!

They never disappoint! They are so customer service and quality focused, they are consistent and amazing! Portions are great and the ambiance is always inviting. Their food is excellent. Having a bad day, I go in and it lifts me, having a great day- same! Thank you for being a part of our restaurant scene in Madera!

The restaurant was quite warm, and the spicy edamame was too salty for my taste. While my sushi roll was average, my partner really enjoyed the teriyaki salmon rice bowl. However, I likely won't return since I primarily enjoy sushi rolls.

Small sushi joint that is likely best for carry out but we sat in one of their few tables during a recent trip. Enjoyed a few different sushi roles including a Fuego Roll which I got for the hot Cheetos as that seemed unique and was. Also it was a great role with tuna, crunch and best. Red Dragon roll was also good with crunch of shrimp tempura, tuna, cream cheese and spicy tuna. Mean Jada roll was good but pieces are larger and a bit harder to eat. That had spicy tuna and yellowtail with a touch of heat. Finally the Cherry Blossom, looked like a flower how it was presented and had spicy tuna and salmon. Highly recommend all the rolls and they were all very large portion sizes and fresh. We will be back when traveling to Medera.

Best rainbow row I've had in the valley. Easily top 3 in the valley I've tried. Taste fresh and $14 for this roll is worth it.

Something has changed The fish was so bad this time that everyone threw out their food. I had Shashimi which is thin slices of raw fish.... 3 of my pieces has freezer burn and the 3 other whole fish styles tasted like It was frozen and thawed and was biting into ice fishy tasting water. My friend has a tiger roll and could only eat two pieces and threw hers out. I've never ever thrown out sushi. What's even happening here for this to happen??!! The raw fish was so smelly that's not suppose to be that way. So disappointed. Literally the Vallerta which is a Mexican grocery store up the way had 10x better sushi ... that's embarrassing And I don't like leaving bad reviews but this is a huge quality issue and borderline health issue. Fish shouldn't be like that

I specifically asked for a baked salmon roll, the sunshine roll was recommended. It came out raw. So I asked kindly, if they could bake the salmon a little longer. And this is what I got next. Would you eat this? I absolutely lost my appetite. :( We were given a refund, which I do appreciate! One star for customer service. But then, we were told this is how it is supposed to look! Ummm no. We won't be back!

We got the Spicy Salmon Tempura Roll and the Teriyaki Beef-Don. The salmon roll was delicious! Teriyaki beef wasn't my favorite. It tasted like Salisbury steak over rice. And the sauce become cold and thick almost immediately. Other than that the service was decent and restaurant was clean
