I can't believe I hadn't tried this place before. Every dish we tried here transported me back to Hawaii. Since discovering this spot we now go at least once a month. I typically order the poke bowl with crab, edamame, and seaweed salad. It comes with your choice of salmon or tuna, perfectly cooked white rice, and a bed of greens. I always get the tuna and it's very fresh and so simple, just how I like it!I also get the kalbi rib plate which comes with white rice, a bed of greens, and your choice of side. I get their homemade kimchi or mac salad which is perfect!

I was craving Hawaiian food and I decided to try this small mom n pop. I must say it's ono! I got the Garlic Furikake Chicken and it was so good. The staff recommended it spicy, which turned out to be really good. The dish was very garlicky with a hint of sweetness covering the crispy chicken. I do wish the chicken batter was a little more crispy, but the chicken was very moist and delish. There wasn't a lot of seating inside, so I would recommend to-go. The shop feels very welcoming and staff was helpful! I will be back again.

If you want some delicious Hawaiian food, this is the spot. The Loco Moco does not disappoint! I opted to add the sautéed onions and mushrooms-- so delicious. The egg was cooked to perfection and gravy was so flavorful! This is a must try if you come here. Such a comfort food!

Ohana Shack Hawaiian Grindz in Fresno offers an authentic taste of Hawaii, featuring dishes like crispy furikake garlic chicken and Kalbi Korean short ribs, which showcase the rich fusion of Hawaiian cuisine. The restaurant's commitment to traditional flavors is evident in their use of ingredients such as furikake seasoning and ube-infused treats. Best kine grindz! Such a good spot for Hawaiian food. I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. My go to is the tofu katsu garlic furikake, but the chicken garlic furikake is good too. Recently I ordered the loco moco and yum! Would order again! For sides, I'm a mac salad girl, but have also gotten the Kimchee. And save room for dessert because the malasadas, bread pudding and pineapple soft serve are all worth trying! The service is always great and food comes out quickly. Can't wait to come back!

Hands down the best poke in Fresno. They were previously remodeling the interior but indoors seating reopened. They do accept pick up orders but I haven't been successful with their phone number. They get busy during lunch so it takes around 15 minutes for each order and even longer for entrees. *Poke: comes either as regular or large with 1/3 lb or 2/3 lb respectively. Personally the regular is more than enough for me. The mixed greens are fresh. Each bowl with a choice of three sides. The seaweed salad is tasty and consistent. The crab salad is slightly creamy with subtle sweetness. *Da Kine: a simple mixture of shoyu, salt and sesame oil. My personal favorite given the simplicity so the tuna can shine. The tuna is cubed perfectly and never fishy. *Furikake: dark soy and furikake seaweed. Similarly tasty but saltier. Recommended for those who want a more umami bite. *Kimchee: a spicier, fermented profile without being too overbearing. Pairs well with the salad and crab salad. There were pieces of kimchi incorporated into the marinade. *Portuguese Sausage Musubi: one of the many premade options in the display case. They were kept warm and the sausage was soft. I wished there was more sauce as the rice base was very thick and dry. While the meat was good, the overall musubi was bland and rice heavy. *Loco Moco: came with a choice of 1 side. I opted for the Mac salad but it wasn't my favorite rendition. It was mayo forward with no other seasoning. The gravy was savory and addicting but the patty was on the drier side. The rice was on the wetter side which I didn't mind but may be off putting to some. The egg was also overdone so it was missing some richness. I found the portion size to be great for the price. *Tropical Lime Lemonade: I've only tried the strawberry lilikoi and it's on the sweeter side. The syrup leans heavier on the lilikoi and it pairs well with the sour lemonade base. The quality of ingredients and flavors shine compared to other establishments in Fresno. I always find myself leaving full and happy.

I love this place! I am just now being allowed to eat Tuna again. I still can't have raw veg or rice so, I asked if I coukd just get some da kine poki by itself. The person at the counter was super gracious and helped me get my order in for the poki and some crab salad. It's this kind of personal attention that means the world to me. The poki and salad were delicious!

I'm very glad I found this hidden gem! This is one of the better Hawaiian BBQ restaurants I've found. They have good portions at an affordable price. I've tried several different dishes here. Even some specials. I would definitely reorder everything I've tried again. Their service is always pleasant.

We came about 45 min before closing, and the cashier was very patient with us and gave us many recommendations since we told him it was our first time. The best bang for your buck and star is definitely the Island favorites, we weren't as satisfied with the poke bowl and drink. Garlic furikake chicken: 5/5 - I see why this is a customer favorite, so packed with flavor and sooo crispy. A little too salty for me which made me want to eat a lot more rice, but loved it with the mac salad. Will be returning for this entree!Ube horchata: 3/5 - looks so pretty but was lackluster for us. The flavor was mostly horchata and sugar with a hint of ubeLikelike poke: 3/5 - pretty standard, it was my first time having poke in a long time and was hoping the large size would be a little heftier for the price difference but it left my partner quite hungry still

When I was searching through Yelp for Hawaiian food, this place popped up and I decided to give it a try. Usually I go to Ono's but I wanted to try something new. There was a lot of parking and when you walk in, there's a good amount of tables and it was clean. They had a bunch of Hawaii related things on the wall. Everything looked so good on the menu but I ordered the Garlic Furikake Chicken with Mac :) I only waited a few minutes and the food was ready. I took it home and wow I love the coating on the chicken. It's very flavorful and they put it on top of some greens. They give just the right amount of rice and the Mac was alright. It's a good portion for the price. I think the next thing I want to try is their Mochiko chicken with kimchee. I can't wait :)
