Oasis Tropical Ice Cream

The interior is very welcoming. The choices are amazing and so many styles, the portions are huge! Mine came in a take out container and I brought it home, had a bowl and put the remains in the freezer for later because there was so much. I'm sure I could have ordered just a cup but I loved all the fresh fruit on the selection I chose. Super fresh fruit on top is what I chose but I want to go back and try ice cream and ices I've never tried. The nice lady behind the counter was very helpful in telling me what some of the unknown flavors were. What was their most popular options etc. it's very clean inside and the wait was short even though there were several patrons ahead of me.

The place has the best fresh fruit drinks. Fresh fruit salad that's big enough to share. Its vibrant colors make it a very happy spot to lift your spirits.

I got a pico de gallo fruit salad and order a small which can probably share with two, I was surprised how big the small actually is, Im very satisfied. I also ordered Agua De Fresca, I liked the foam and that it's all natural.

The cold treats here are so good! The popsicles/paletas are about the best I've had, especially the mango. I had a watermelon/strawberry fruit shake a couple of times and it was one of the best things I've had. Especially when it's 102 out!

The best strawberries and cream hands down!!!! The best fruit salads hands down, especially the super salad and the bionic one. This place is an OG spot in porterville and it's been there from the start.... we now have a few places that offer similar items and I've tried the other places and they are good too but NOBODY beats oasis. Man it's so good here, I've tried so many things from this place and I've never been let down. I've eaten here for the past 10 years and it's always been A1!

My rating is based on the service. Fruit and ice cream is amazing! I walked in a few days ago and I was the 3rd customer. Oasis had a young guy working and he was swamped with orders and no one to help! A lady came from the back and instead of helping him clear the line she started putting ice cream away! After 10 minutes she finally decided to help 1 customer who was ahead of me. The couple ordered something and she went to the back and was gone for at least 10 minutes. I ordered last and was out first then them. I felt so bad. Customers get frustrated standing in line for over 10 minutes especially when there is help that isn't helping . What's the point of her being there if shes letting the guy sink?

Could not tell you if their products are good or not. Could not get waited on. There was a line so we waited in line we were about 4 people back from where they were taking the ordes. When it was out turn the lady came over and went right past us. My friend got pissed and I said hold on maybe she thought someone had gotten to us already. After she finished with the guy behind us she walked past us again and asked the person behind us what they were wanting so I put up my hand and said hey wer were next. She just turned her gaze at us and and made a RBF face at us. So walked out. I wonder if it was because we were the only ones not speaking Spanish there. I dunno

Fast, friendly service and delicious, reasonably price homemade ice cream- what else could you want? Strawberry is my fav

There ice cream is really good I started going when they opened a decade ago the prices have gone up to high but other than that very delicious ice cream my favorite mangonada with pineapple

Staff: Not the most welcoming establishment, unless you're a regular it seems. After you order, your item is placed on a pick up table. The 4 girls of me were called by name to pick up their orders. They never asked me mine and just left it there. The other customers had some nice welcoming convo, but it was pretty quiet with me- idk. Seating: plenty of indoor seating. Eats: I ordered a small #2 off the menu which consists of diced and sliced fruit, granola, condensed milk, and ice cream. I left out the condensed milk and opted for honey and walnuts. The flavor was great! All of the fruit was nice and ripe. Next time I'd leave out a few ingredients like cantaloupe and granola. Most of my fruit was cantaloupe. This is just based off of preference as it tasted just fine. The granola has raisins and coconut shavings, just fyi to those who aren't a fan. You have the option to choose your ice cream, and I went w pistachio. I wish they gave the option to build your own- they might but I didn't ask. I'll try that next time if it's available to me. Overall: I'd return.
