Oak Hill has the makings for an absolute gem of a restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed our first time there. Very friendly staff in a comfortable, traditional lounge atmosphere. Steak appetizer was perfect. Octopus was perfectly cooked with terrific chimmichurri sauce. Chopped wedge was also excellent (be sure to ask for extra dressing as tiny dressing serving doesn't remotely cover large portion). Could be elevated a bit. Bacon was clumpy vs freshly prepared. I added steak to it. Pasta dish was good - a little bland. The burger was exceptional. Solid menu. Excellent wine selection. This place has the potential to be a terrific neighborhood hangout. We'll be back.BTW - This was listed online as an Italian restaurant. It is not. It was American fare. Check it out.

Long But Overdue Review I made a reservation a week ahead for a party of 11 on February 16th at 11 AM. We got seated, and everything started off well. But honestly, the girl with short red hair really doesn't seem cut out for this industry. We were there to celebrate my birthday, and she was incredibly snappy with anything we asked her.First off, everyone had different menus, and it felt like she didn't want to give us the right ones. She huffed, puffed, and rolled her eyes, which was really off-putting. I'm not sure if the restaurant is understaffed or what, but they really need to get it together! The way they advertise on social media set our expectations high, and we were all excited to try it out because the food looked amazing in the pictures!So, we ordered our drinks and food. Keep in mind, we were a party of 11, and she wasn't even writing down our orders. Fine, whatever. After about 30 minutes, I wanted to check on our drinks, and she gave me attitude, saying it was the bartender's responsibility. She always seemed mad, and we couldn't ask her anything without her being rude!Eventually, she came back and said the first round of drinks would be comped. Okay, that was nice. But then we waited around 40 minutes to an hour for our food to arrive, and not everyone got their meals at the same time! We were still waiting for three plates--pancakes, Eggs Benedict, and an omelette. After waiting another 20-30 minutes, everyone else was done eating.To make matters worse, the back door was open, letting in cold air. I asked our waitress if they could close it, and she said no because a private party paid for it. So, because of that, the rest of us had to deal with the cold? It just felt really inconsiderate.So, our three plates of food finally came out, and it was just not what I expected. For the Eggs Benedict, they put two eggs on one toast. Isn't it supposed to be two toasts? For my omelette, I asked for a ham and cheese omelette with a side of potatoes, which was $9 and nothing special! The ham was deli ham and gross. Also, we had two orders of the smash burger. They advertise on social media that it comes with an egg, but there was no egg. Finally, I had enough. Other tables were complaining, and I needed to let the manager know what was going on. I asked for the manager, and my friend went to the restroom. She heard the water guy ask for the manager, and he started cussing. He came out stating he's taking off my meal (birthday girl) and giving 10% off the bill. Then I was able to tell him what was going on. But no discount can make up for how we were treated by the waitress and how unorganized this restaurant is. It's so sad.

The wine flight was well chosen, and you should be going here for the wine or cocktails. I tried the whole branzino, which was cooked properly, although it was a bit basic. Starters were good, though nothing was a particular standout.However, the cheesecake was literally the worst cheesecake I've ever encountered. It was chalky and so stiff it was served sideways. It's possible it was a frozen tray bake that as served without being properly thawed. It was inedible. I am not a complainer, but it actually drove me to complain about it, and the server was nice enough to comp it.

Made a reservation for a party of 9. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. The place looks amazing both inside and outside. I would highly recommend ordering the focaccia bread with whipped butter and charcuterie board to start. They are absolutely the best I've had. I ordered the chicken pasta plate and it was delicious! The pasta and chicken were perfectly cooked. I would come here again.

First time checking this out on recommendation of a friend who loved their mushroom risotto. Sadly, it was a special that wasn't on the menu anymore, so we had to pivot.Staff and manager were super nice and very attentive. The old fashioned drink was great.We started with the Arancini balls as an appetizer. The flavor was good, but they were cold in the middle. We sent them back, which I hate doing and they brought warmer ones. The cheese in the middle wasn't cold, but wasn't melted, so still not great. These are huge so if they were half the size, they might be able to get a melt and make them amazing. I did the Bronzino and it was a fish on a plate looking at me. Fish was super fresh and the chimichurri sauce was amazing. The fish did have a lot of bones to pick through so I didn't love that.The star of the night was the Chicken Marsala. It was hands down the best I have ever had. Chicken was moist and flavor incredible. We liked it so much I ordered one for my mom. We would definitely like to return and try more things.

Chef Ana is absolutely a treasure when it comes to innovative and modern delicious cuisine. I absolutely love coming here and bringing friends because it never disappoints. Service is always fantastic and I love how successfully experimental chef is throughout the seasons. I highly recommend going with friends because the food is definitely conversational. Always looking forward to going back as soon as I leave‼‼

Super excited to have a new restaurant in Fresno with insanely delicious food. The staff was great and attentive. The restaurant is very nice and the bar is really nice.Everything we had was cooked to perfection. The branzino was our favorite item that we ordered. It was cooked so nicely and the fish was tender and juicy. The executive chef Ana has really created a delicious menu!

We've been a handful of times and we always get the friendliest service. I'm always impressed at how welcoming everyone is from the host to the servers and anyone else in between. Our latest visit was a quick happy hour pop in, and we had a great time. We especially enjoyed discussing the 80s movies soundtrack songs playing in the background! They had some new fall menu items and what we tried - the Brie and goat cheese balls and the salad with apples and persimmons - was delicious! I could eat 4 or 5 plates of the cheese balls :) I also had the white wine flight. Every time I've gone I've had a flight and the wines are always delicious, plus the pours are great. In previous visits, we've snacked on the cheeseboard and the steak bites. Everything we've tried has been fantastic, the vibe is always fun, and the service can't be beat!

We had reservations for dinner tonight for a party of 10. The hostess up front told us that we would still have to wait another 20 minutes or so despite having reservations. At first, we were a little irritated given that we had kids and an elderly member in our group. But the owner, Raul worked quickly to help resolve the situation. We ended up only having to wait an additional 10 minutes. We were sat promptly. Our hostess Marissa was great. We ordered a few appetizers and our dinner. My daughters' dinners arrived quickly. Which was great, given that my daughters were pretty hungry by this point. I ordered the ravioli. It was delish!! They're homemade with just a hint of lemon flavor but nothing too overwhelming. My SIL ordered the mussels. I tried one of hers. It was amazing and very light. I love the sauce that accompanied the dish. We were celebrating 2 birthdays, so we had a couple desserts. Our favorite was the lemon tart. Overall, everything was amazing. The service was wonderful. Will definitely be back!!

Each of our dishes were very unique and flavorful. Mike was an amazing host & server despite his short time here at Oakhill Wine + Bistro. The vibe here was quiet and intimate which we loved, we were checked up on and had our waters poured frequently. My gf, cousin and I will be coming back, hopefully soon. I'm sorry I finished my plate! But trust my word, the food looks as great as it tastes. Prices vary from $16-25. Great price for the portions too.
