I'm writing this review on behalf of my mother who was referred to Dr. Bhatia. She waited several months to tell me about this appointment because it was so upsetting for her. Her Internist referred her to the Dr. for some concerns she had about a tremor in her hand. Dr. Bhatia was dismissive, rude, and blunt in his diagnosis...which after further consultation with three neuro specialists in LA was ruled absolutely INCORRECT. Dr. Bhatia told her he could offer her nothing except he readily encouraged her to join a study (which he gets paid for referring patients to). She returned to her internal medicine doctor who was not surprised by her unsatisfactory visit and intimated that she was not alone in this experience. Stay away from Dr. Bhatia if you are seeking any kind of thorough diagnosis, someone who is up on recent advancements in the field, or simply a COMPETENT DOCTOR. He is not it. Avoid at all costs.

I am writing to formally express my dissatisfaction with the level of service and professionalism I experienced at Neuro-Pain Medical Center during my recent visits. I was referred to the office by my primary care physician after being diagnosed with a stroke, Unfortunately, my experience with the facility was deeply disappointing. My initial appointment was scheduled for 8:15 AM, and I was instructed to arrive 15 minutes early. Upon arrival, I found the office dark, unorganized, and unstaffed. Two other patients, including myself, were left waiting without any acknowledgment. It was only after staff members arrived late and hastily set up, that appointments commenced. Despite being the first scheduled patient of the day and 15 minutes early, as instructed, I was forced to wait while other patients with later appointments were seen before me. When I inquired about this, I was given an unsatisfactory response, suggesting that arrival time took precedence over appointment time, which is neither a fair nor professional practice. When I was finally seen, I was dismayed to learn that the office had failed to request my physician's report or MRI results prior to my visit. As a result, my appointment was rendered meaningless, and I was forced to reschedule. This careless oversight wasted both my time and a valuable insurance claim. When I returned for my rescheduled appointment, my MRI results and physician's report were still missing, despite weeks of waiting. Once they were finally retrieved, PA, Baker dismissed my stroke diagnosis and insisted I undergo another MRI before proceeding with any treatment. I was told they would schedule an MRI in four months and a follow-up appointment with PA Baker, t instead of being provided a direct referral for the MRI, I was scheduled for another non-relevant doctor's visit.I contacted the office to request scheduling for the MRI, I was met with resistance and unprofessionalism. The office manager was particularly combative and dismissive, even suggesting that I seek treatment elsewhere simply because I voiced concerns over the inefficiency over the scheduling process. Additionally, I found it unethical that this office attempts to profit from unnecessary repeat visits instead of ensuring timely and efficient care.Due to these numerous administrative failures, lack of organization, and overall unprofessional conduct, I decided to seek care elsewhere. Following my request to cancel my appointment, I received a letter discharging me as a patient--an action that only confirms the disorganization and lack of concern for patient care.I will formally request that my medical records be transferred to my primary care physician immediately. Furthermore, I urge this office to reassess its scheduling policies, staff professionalism, and administrative efficiency to prevent similar experiences for other patients in the future.

I was sent to Neuro Pain Medical Center because of my stroke. Dr Perminder Bahtia is great. I immediately liked him because of his kind and obvious intelligent manner. I have trusted him from the beginning. He always makes me feel important and understands what I'm going through. I am in a study for spasticity and feel lucky to be part of it. I am very content under his care. I have told several of my friends that he is the best. Thank you Dr Bahtia for being my doctor. I obviously hit the jackpot when I found you.

The receptionists seem friendly, intuitive, and willing to help, The waiting time is not too long for me; i'd say usually 10 minutes or less (and i come in late frequently). i like the medical assistants; they also seem friendly, and thorough with their care.

My husband has recently been diagnosed with a serious illness. We couldn't be more pleased that this kind, compassionate doctor, Preminger Bhatia, will be his doctor as we go forward on this journey. He listened and patiently answered all our questions....we had many and never felt rushed. His explanations were clear and understandable...it was so evident that Dr. Bhatia is on the cutting edge with treatments for my husband's disease. With a busy practice, we had concerns about how available the doctor would be, but he reassured us, offering an email address to reach out. And he, once again, was reassuring (and pragmatic) as we discussed those dreaded insurance hurdles . I can't think of what else we could hope for in a doctor and are very grateful for this referral.

RUN....DO NOT WALK AWAY FROM THIS DOCTOR AND HIS OFFICE!!!My husband had an appointment in Oct 2021. Dr. wrote a Rx and said come back in 6 months...May. Shortly before the May appointment the office called and said the Dr had to go out of town and rescheduled the appointment for July. I had to leave a voicemail to get the Rx renewed. They billed medicare $100 of which our co-pay was $64.84. I was told Medicare allows that. The doctor had to go into our chart to find the med and then was allowed to charge for that for an appointment THEIR OFFICE cancelled. I give only 1 star just to get to post this

I see David Baker here for nocturnal epilepsy, nothing to do with pain. I have never dealt with Dr. Batia. Just so there is context on the review. I'm giving it stars at all because I like David and think he's easy to work with and compassionate, he's patient with what can be a difficult condition to get under control. And honestly I'd do one star except I think it would be unfair to him. The low review otherwise is due to the person(s) who are SUPPOSED to handle medications. I've never in almost 50 years had so much trouble with medication. I got all the reasons "the girl is new" to "she works from home part of the week" apparently working from home meant who knows what because it sure didn't mean she was "working" as I couldn't get any responses from her. Now supposedly there's another new person and that's the current reason I'm having issues. I'm not talking about a refill here and there, I am talking about MONTHS of issues. I usually just end up going to the office in person because there's no way to tell if messages are even received. It took I think 3-4 months to get a prior authorization completed and sent to my insurance correctly (David was great, kept me medicated via sample packs). Current issue is that they didn't get my prescription in to the pharmacy on time so the new medication I'm slowly ramping up on wasn't ordered in time and now I'm just without it. No idea how that effects a medication that has to slowly be built up over months of time but the frustration is epic. I literally called every single day last week until getting ahold of someone else on Friday who got Dr Batia to phone the script in. Looking at the other reviews it seems universal, the Drs are good their support staff suck. When I told the lady Friday that I was going to ask David for a referral to another neurologist because I was so tired of this prescription issue she actually told me I'd have to deal with this anywhere because everyone is short staffed!!!! I call BS AND I say it's an unprofessional response as well. Fire anyone that won't do their job and pay more to get competent employees.

I have been to Dr. Bhatia's office four times in the last 6 months. There was only a 5 to 10 minute wait on each visit. Susan administered the EEG, another did my vitals, and another person did the computer test. All were very competent and professional. I saw Dr. Bhatia after both tests to get the results. He thoroughly explained the results, and answered all my questions. I never got the feeling of being rushed. The ladies at the desk were also very nice. They sent in a prescription which I picked up 3 hours later at a Walgreens and adjusted my next appointment to to fit my schedule. It was a pleasant experience at every step.

The doctors may be good at this facility but this is the worst office staff I have ever seen. My first visit was prior to the pandemic. They would not set an appointment for me when I was leaving the office. The staff was too busy talking amongst themselves. They said they would call me with one. I made 1 phone appointment myself. When I needed a refill renewed I was told they couldn't because they hadn't seen me???? No offer of scheduling an appt either. Just treated rude by Lupe the office manager and accused of not following up????
