Update (3/23/2022): I am providing an updated review because, after a dedicated listening session by one of the owners, I can give a slightly more positive review but still not a glowing review. I will spare many of the details but will state the following: Lisa, the owner I spoke with, took the time to really listen to my grievances and updated me with a bit of positive news on the front of my deposit. While it was still a fraction of what the amount was, she took the time to really explain the costs and had her staff share further details on the invoices, which I had to just accept for the numbers they were because cleaning & maintenance work cost money, albeit even if I did personally believe all the work was originally necessary. I mentioned that I wish there would have been better communication and transparency during my entire rental period, but we cannot change the past and I hope we can all grow from the experience. She took my criticisms and suggestions professionally and did leave me more accepting of the situation, and on an overall better note.Original 1-star review (3/22/2022): Slow response and overall bad communication. Do not recommend them as a management company. Most of us hear of bad stories with property management companies but hope that experience does not happen to you. They were terrible with the security deposit return.

DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY!!!!They took over a property we lived in and immediately jacked up the rent no doubt with the impending rent control laws coming into effect. Then I received a notice after I moved out that I owe them 1000 for painting the interior, mind you I lived there 5 years and the only paint damage was from taping plastic to the windows to keep cool and hot air inside as they were single pane windows and no central heat and air. Guestimate on touch up paint for what paint the tape removed maybe 50$ . We lived in a fourplex and everyone else got screwed too. Garbage company.

Do not go through this property management. Horrible customer service. I was emailed once saying if I was still interested in the apartment to have my daughter fill out an application which is a $50 application fee and after she did it I was unable to get a hold of anyone by phone or email and by the time I did I was told they rented to someone else. I then applied for another apartment and same thing happened. I got an email asking if I was still interested in the apartment and I responded saying yes I was then tried to follow up with emails and phone calls which were never answered. I finally got through and was told again they rented to someone else.

I have been in the hunt for a house/apartment for family member that lives out of town for about 2 weeks and this was by far the worst experience I've had. I will admit my appointment time was scheduled at 5:20 and the time I got to the property was 5:26, the representative that was contacting me through text was very unprofessional. I didn't get a name, but they did not greet me instead just texted saying that they were on the property. After I greeted them and informed them that I would be there shortly then gave me a shorthanded response asking for an ETA. I then responded informing them. I was less than five minutes away and even asked if that was Okay and there response was a threat to leave if I didn't show up. Someone who has worked in customer service their whole life, I understand the frustrations of someone who is late but a 5 minute delay is definitely not a big deal in my book Especially if they gave you a heads up. The representative did apologize for being rude(which I thanked them for), but at that point, I went ahead and canceled the appointment because I was no longer interested in renting the property or viewing it. I hope in the future a situation like mine is approached the appropriate way especially for someone who may be a Potential tenant.Also the representative then said I was not at the right property, which I was and then blatantly lied and said they had been waiting for 15 minutes which was absolutely not true. I attached receipts hoping this reaches the right person.

I went to visit a friend this past week at the Royal Arms Apartments in Fresno and wow what a dump. There was trash everywhere. Kids were running wild between cars and throwing rocks at each other.It was like a damn circus. Beware if you park you will for sure get a dent in your damn car. I would not rent from this company. Apparently they are total slum lords!!

I typically do not leave negative reviews as they don't often represent the average experience with a company, restaurant, etc. However, it seems as if the average experience with this company is poor. I rented a home for 6+ years and the property owner requested that all maintenance issues go through him rather than the property manager.. Which is all fine and dandy until 6 years later you are charged nearly $2300 upon move out. From reading other reviews here, the consensus is that this company does required maintenance and needed updates to rentals on prior tenants dime.

My window is now fixed as of 09/06 3 weeks later. But no one has came to replace my door or fix the bullet hole in my closet wall. I'm over it at this point. I hope this review helps others see the neglect and lack of urgency this property management has towards their tenants.

Update: Wow what a complete turn around! I can confidently say that the people I have been in contact with were much more capable and responded quickly to any concerns I had about the property. I recently had the owner of the business reach out to me just to be sure all of my problems had been handled and I was comfortable. It means a lot to know that this business takes the reviews into account and then makes changes for the better, all while conducting themselves in a very professional manner.

We lived for almost eight months in a rental home located in Harlan Ranch, Clovis that was managed by Neighborhood Property Management (NPM). I read several other reviews before writing mine. Some were pretty tough. Here is my thought:Every company, small or large, has something negative they must address from time to time whether it is a national grocery store, car dealership, or a family-owned business. The reason is simple - people work there. I do not expect perfection because they employee people who are just like me - imperfect, forgetful, and who make mistakes occasionally. Of course, I expect them to be honest and customer oriented, but I also expect that from time to time there are likely to be issues that need to be resolved. If there is a problem, what I look for is effective communication. I am willing to pay more money for a service or product if the communication is excellent, and if they treat me like my business matters.One of the owners of NPM - Lisa S, was very responsive to any question/issue that came up during our time there. She communicated with us in a timely manner, she was professional but also personable, and I would recommend her company.
