Napkins BBQ

A trip to Traver CA for barbecue? YUP. J.R. Greeted us warmly from the window of his pretty red food service trailer. While J. R., AKA as "Mr Napkins", explained his food items to us, the smoky aroma of BBQ came wafting to us from his nearby BBQ pit as if to back up his promises of great food.My wife chose his unofficial specialty- the tri-tip sandwich which had previously been recommended to us by customers we knew. The tri-tip should definitely be billed as his specialty because it was DEE-LICIOUS!Definitely 5 stars. Try one.I chose some pork back ribs, AKA baby back ribs. I think he ended his cook a bit early to accommodate me as they could have on the pit longer to get to the proper bid and bone release. The tremendous flavors added by the pit master made up for this to get the ribs to 4 stars. I'll have them again sometime. My wife and I each chose a side to share - she her favorite - macaroni and cheese, and I chose potato salad. Both were excellent. 5 stars.I don't normally use sauce on my ribs or such, but I did sample the sauces. Sweet Baby Ray's and SBR with added hot sauce.Both are way too sweet for me. He does serve the tri-tip sandwich with the mild sauce applied and my taste of the tri-tip Sammie was wonderful even with sauce normally too sweet for me.All in all, sitting in the post Christmas outdoors in the sunshine eating barbecue at Mr. Napkins was a pleasurable experience. Traver should be proud.

The ribs were slowly bbq'd on the smoker using seasoned oak and they were excellent!I will be back !This is a permanent food truck that has fantastic Tri-tip bbq, Brisket bbq, and great ribs with sweet baby james bbq sauce. It is right off the bravo farms exit next to the 76 gas station.

As we were waiting for supercharging we decided to grab a bite from this BBQ truck. It was good but not much to write home about. Menu may have changed since..Seats are outside and since it was summertime it was really dusty but they did wipe down the benches for us.

We just had Napkins cater for our event at work and it was DELICIOUS. My picture is missing the tri-tip because I ate it already lol There were fresh cooked green beans, 2 ribs, some tri tip and Mac n cheese with a dinner roll. My Co-Workers and I loved it! Definitely recommend them for your next catering event! And thank you guys for being so nice!

On our road trip to north, and we went to the shop cross the street, came out saw the smoke and feel hungry. Tried the food, it was more tasty then expected. Tri tip was tender perfect cooked, hotdog was great. Too bad we are sharing with kids, and order the hot links, but finish all in no time. What a nice suprise.

12/17/22Getting lunch for tomorrow! Called in. One tri-tip sandwich and one chicken sandwich ordered. BBQ sauce on the side. The worker was very kind and said it would be ready in 15 minutes. Shortly later, I went to get it. It's a little red food truck with the bbq going right in front! Pretty awesome and smelled delicious! I went up to the food truck. Greeted by a nice worker and said a pick up order was placed. She went to get it. It was ready and handed over along with good day wishes! Next day! Got lunch ready! Both sandwiches split to get to try both. 1/2 of the tri-tip sandwich was split. My half was really delicious! Tender tri-tip and absolutely delicious with their BBQ sauce. Mother said hers was the same! Delicious! Great service and fantastic, delicious BBQ sandwiches! Highly recommended! I'll add the chicken sandwich tomorrow!

Loved it I always see it when passing the freeway and today I decided to stop by and it did not disappoint I loved it will most definitely be stopping here again

Great tri tip sandwich! Flavor, smoke, tenderness was perfect. Perfectly smoked, great toppings and sauce! Will be back!

Amazing good. Don't sleep on the loaded fries. We got the fires with tri tip and polish dog.
