Tried out Namizake Sushi for lunch, and it turned out to be a great choice for the day. I was pleasantly surprised to find out they offer lunch specials, which I hadn't known about before. You can pick two items, and I chose the Crispy Spicy Chicken Rice Bowl and the Ebi Shrimp Roll.Luckily, it wasn't very busy when I arrived, though the crowd did pick up towards the end of my meal. When the food arrived, I was impressed by how delicious it looked. The portions were definitely bigger than I expected. The sushi was fresh and even better with the ginger provided. The chicken was delicious--very crispy and fresh. It wasn't very spicy, but I actually preferred it that way!Overall, it was a great experience and a fantastic lunch special. They also offer a variety of seating options, including low and high top tables, as well as a sushi bar area. Definitely worth a visit!

I went for lunch today with a large group. I was so disappointed. First of all though, our server was amazing. She was calm and collected with our big group, even when one of the kids spilled two glasses of water and broke one of the glasses. She was aces and everyone thought so. Next, the food. I had some edamame with the garlic sauce. It was a rather sparse amount and although the taste was good, it was super messy. Thenmiso soup was lukewarm and over salty. For my main I had three different nigiri. Surf clam, yellowtail, and scallops. The surf clam was so dry and rubbery that it was almost inedible. I spent a lot of time chewing and finally got it down. It tasted fine but the texture was terrible. The yellowtail was somewhat dry and bland. The scallops were a large quantity of small bay scallops and they were fine albeit a very large bite. The nori it was wrapped in was, like the clam and yellowtail, very dry and it was an effort to get it down. Honestly, if it wasn't for the group I was with, I would have sent the food back and tried something else. The best thing I had was the water with lemon. My wife had a chicken teriyaki entree which came with a salad, miso soup and and rice. She didn't touch the rice and only ate a few bites of the chicken, which she said was pretty bad. Needless to say, but I will say it anyway, I won't be back.

Wanted to love this place based on the reviews but was disappointed. Came on a Sunday for lunch. Not crowded. Ambiance of interior in the back is nice and modern and spacious. We got the lunch special- tonkatsu ramen and spicy tuna roll. The ramen was fine, came with single slice of pork and a half jammy egg. Nothing else tho. No corn, nori and other fixins like a traditional ramen. The bowl is also a "lunch size". The spicy tuna roll was lacking flavor. Not spicy at all and tasted bland. Sukiyaki beef rice bowl was also meh. Beef pieces were hard.Takoyaki were decent. Nice crunch even tho they're traditionally not deep fried which they were here.Parking plentiful. Plaza is sort of empty on a weekend.

We came here for Happy Hour and ordered Namikaze nachos, Katana roll, Rainbow roll, and Koi roll. Our favorite was the nachos and the Katana roll. The other rolls were moist and wet so it gave a bad texture.

Went here for Valentine's Day cus it wasn't busy. We really left from waiting at another spot for too long so we ended up here. I called first just to check and they said it wasn't busy at all lol. Went there and had probably less then an hour before closing. Greeted upon arrival. Got seated and had to hurry and pick off the menu cus the kitchen was closing in like 15 minutes. If we had more time I would've picked some other things I wanted to try that I'm now reading from the menu in the pics lol.. my bf got the koi roll, I got the kimono roll. Both equally good and had raw fish on it. Tasted fresh so that's a good sign. Had a side of seaweed salad asked for it to be spicy. Of course not spicy. Tasted fresh. It was good but tasted a little nutty. Not the best I've had. Barely any seaweed, mainly lettuce. Hella edamame. Service was good. Waiter was somewhat attentive. He forgot to bring out the soy sauce and ginger and wasabi. It's ok I think it's cus they was cleaning up.. lol it was quiet in there. Not too loud. We also had a bottle of sake. Sushi rolls was pricey IMO.

I didn't care for any of the dishes. It was either bland or salty. The sushi nigiri is just okay, nothing special. The soy sauce was salty, salad dressing salty tempura sauce bland?

Was intrigued by their lunch specials where you can choose any two items from a varied menu, ramen, udon, rice bowls, rolls and poke. I had the spicy miso ramen and salmon poke. Only ate the ramen and will have the poke for dinner. A great value for $18.

Namikaze is truly a hidden gem! One of the things we love most is that we can always find a table without needing a reservation, making it our go-to spot whenever we're craving fresh, clean sushi. The portions are generous, and the food is consistently delicious--flavorful without being overly saucy or heavy, so we leave feeling satisfied but never weighed down. The casual atmosphere is also a big plus, as it makes it easy for us to bring our daughter along and enjoy a great meal as a family. The service is always prompt and friendly, making every visit an enjoyable experience. If you're looking for a reliable, high-quality Japanese restaurant in town, Namikaze is the place to go!

Again, an under mediocre and mediocre tops as a Japanese themed restaurants. I ordered ramen which was disappointing. A 6 pc tuna sashimi which the fish was far from butter and looked anemic. Plus they didn't even have a wasabi to go with it. Not recommending sorry.
