I ordered to-go here earlier this week and had dinner at the restaurant last night. This place opened up 3 months ago and adds another option to the dearth of Japanese restaurants in southeast Fresno. In the to-go order, we ordered the baked mussels, fried rice, and California roll. They were ready within 15 minutes and everything was great. The star of the show is the fried rice, which is perfectly cooked. My family also enjoyed the baked mussels, which had seasoning in it. The California was basic, and it could have used more ginger than what was in the order. I also thought it was weird that the sushi had plastic wrap over it. I don't think that was necessary.Ordered the salmon teppenyaki, mango boba smoothie, shrimp and chicken teppanyaki, the dragon roll and some vegetable tempura. My friend said the dragon roll had mainly imitation crab and didn't come with tuna or salmon like she's used to. The salmon was cooked very well as was the shrimp. However, the chicken was tough and not as good as could be, so they can work on that. The fried rice is really good.For our in-dining experience, my main critique is that the ambiance could use some music. It is very quiet in there. And the bathroom is outside in the same building two doors down, which is odd, but more of the infrastructure of the building. The owner is nice and came to ask if we needed anything. It's good to know we are supporting a small business by coming here. Most of their dishes are solid and they had a steady stream of customers on a Friday night. I hope they continue to do well.

Yum!I love places like this. Kind of far from me but I think I'd still make the trip here to get it. Steak plate: delicious! Perfectly cooked steak, fried rice is buttery and tasty. I love veggies and they were cooked to perfection. (5/5)Bao bao: I like it but it's not my cup of tea. I don't know if I'd order this again. Deep frying the roll kind of made the rice a bit mushy. It kind of became one flavor, one dimension. But that's just my opinion because my mom loved this. (2.5/5)Crunchy roll: good flavor. Rice was cooked perfectly. This was my favorite roll. Customer service was great! Owner, Cha, was very nice. No real ambiance but it was fine & clean. ORDER:Tempura: Perfectly battered & cooked. Very fresh, hot & crispy. Baked Mussels: Tasty but a little too oily. A little more creaminess would make these better. Dragon Roll & Crunchy Roll: Both were good, but not super memorable. Miso Hungry Special Habachi: Chicken (a bit dry), shrimp (cooked well) & steak (a bit well done) but everything was nicely flavorful. Overall, pretty good! Give this small couple-owned business some love.

Miso Hungry Teppanyaki is definitely a must-visit! The food was absolutely delicious, with big portions that make it well worth the price. Every bite was flavorful, and the quality was top-notch. The customer service was also excellent friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. The chef came out spoke to asked us how the food was very great customer service. One of the best parts is that everything is made fresh to order, and despite that, the wait time was surprisingly short. The drinks are also very reasonably priced, which is a huge plus. this place exceeded expectations, and we will definitely be back! If you're looking for great food, generous portions, and a welcoming atmosphere, Miso Hungry Teppanyaki is the spot!

I'll be giving this place 5 stars today! Me and my lady were looking for somewhere with sushi & fried rice when she had remembered wanting to try this place out. We showed up the lady gave us menus & we sat down. Place was very clean , lots of space & tables , people around us seemed to be enjoying their food & even more showed up excited to order. We decided to try the hibachi chicken & shrimp , baked mussels & the spider roll . Food plates were enough for two people or alot for one depending how much you eat! All in all food ended up being really good, everything we ordered hit the spot & plates were very affordable for the type of food we got . Staff was super friendly & nice made us feel comfortable & welcome . Will definitely be coming back more & more especially since it's close to our home . 10/10 recommend. I'll update the review next time I show up.

Hole in the wall across the street from Panda Express. Have to say the food at Miso is soo good! Teriyaki Chicken and Crunchy Roll were both excellent. Cool chicken dipping sauce is something I haven't had before but really liked.

11/10/24 Hot & New! Must try! Getting lunch! I called and ordered the Bai Bao Roll, Miso Hungry roll & Spicy Chicken Wings. The worker was very kind and said it would be ready in 15 minutes. I went to get it shortly later! Greeted and worker was Great! Paid for order with well wishes! Restaurant is nice! Clean & safe. Some nice decor on the walls. . Lunchtime! Bao Bao roll was fresh & tasty! Even better dipped in the wasabi & soy sauce! Miso Hungry roll portion was Great too! Flavorful! Spicy Chicken Wings were tender and great! Little spice and a lot of sweetness! Mother felt the same! Leftovers too! Great service and Great lunch! Highly recommended!

We ordered the hibachi chicken, chicken/shrimp, and chicken/new york plate. The rice is amazing and really steals the show. Especially with the hot and spicy sauce. The meat was good but the rice really stole the show!

hello good afternoon, to who my read this today I wanted some sushi and look up a place near by me and this place came up and I looked at the review and decided to come by and try it out and my I say the food was excellent and my experience with customer service was great was very welcoming and helpful and making sure everything was good or if needed anything if you are near and wanna try out a new place and wanna come in to a nice quiet place and have something to eat stop by !!!! Loved it !!
