Mineshaft Restaurant - Lake Don Pedro

I haven't had the chance to dine in yet, but I ordered a pizza to go, and it was delicious! The restaurant has a warm and inviting atmosphere. The service was quick and friendly. Looking forward to coming back and enjoying another meal. Thanks!

I went only once on a weekday evening about 2 hours before closing. What I noticed was that the staff was super friendly all the way around from the host to the servers. The food was ok. I had fish and chips and the fish was a little burnt on the ends. My girlfriend had a steak well done. She said it was alright, not the best but expected more for the price. No beers on tap and the mix drinks were on the weak side. The atmosphere was nice but could use some background noise other than a refrigerator. This place needs more advertising.

The service was outstanding. They treat you as if they have know you for a while. The food was great with just enough choices to have a variety but not too many where it's like reading a book. Lastly the atmosphere was historic. Lots of old spooky pictures with some good tales to go along with them. If you're coming thru La Grange it's a must stop!!!

Excellent atmosphere. They can accommodate more tables as they grow. We went around 7pm in the evening, they were out of NY Steaks and Alfredo sauce, but otherwise the food was excellent. Our group had a pepperoni pizza, a mineshaft pizza, a French dip sandwich, and a country fried steak. The steak looked sad on the plate by itself, some steam vegetables on the side would have made the plate look more appealing. The steak was great and the side salad. French dip meat was so soft and delicious! Definitely will go again when we are in Don Pedro area.
