So in all fairness before getting in all out experience at Miguel's, I had given them a shot at a Yelp event. So i knew exactly what I was getting. I went to their Peacock Market location and had their 3 taco combo plate with carnitas, of course I had the spicy salsa and it had a nice kick to it. The meat was flavorful and juicy!! the beans tasted like they were charro beans and not pinto beans. Rice was soft and moist and dry or crunchy like some places. I added some of the spicy red salsa to everything and it just heightened the flavors even more so. The market itself has a full liquor store and a sandwich place and a coffee/ice cream options. You can't go wrong. Afterwards you can finish off the meal with a scoop of ice cream and leave fully satisfied.

I really have mixed feelings about sharing this review. I will have to share what many of you already know, Miguel's Salsa is not going to be a hidden gem for long.My wife and I went as a scouting mission to find the best authentic Mexican food in Fresno for our family and we did not get disappointed.First and always the most important is the food. It was Super Burrito's Friday. I had the Al Pastor and my wife tried the Carne Asada. The pork and beef in the burrito was perfectly marinated. The ingredients tasted fresh and had the perfect balance of acid and savory. The price q was very fair for the large portions we received.Miguel's had a cute bodega feel to it. They share the location with a grocery store, coffee shop and a third establishment. The service was spot on from the time we entered the establishment and got greeted with a smile and a sample of drinks with chips topped with Carne Asada and three different salsas. We will definitely go back with our family to try the menu more extensively.

I got to try this place as part of a Yelp Elite event, so when my spouse suggested it for lunch one day, I knew we were in for a treat. These are seriously some of the best tacos I've ever had and I was born and raised in Fresno. My spouse loved his burrito as well, and in spite of it being huge, he finished it in short order. I also loved the ease of the online ordering. When it comes to work lunch, a place that allows me to order and pay online so I only have to drive there and pick up my food, in order to get back to work on time, will always get my business over other places. In spite of my rushed pick up, the owner (probably Miguel but I'm terrible with names and I don't want to assume) was so friendly and even offered me a sample of a tiramisu macron. Which was delicious just very expensive. If you are anywhere near the peacock market, it is absolutely worth your time to check out this place. Great spot, great food, and great service.

If you are searching for great tacos or burritos, the flavor-packed, juicy meats at Miguel's Salsa are why they are my top choice locally. It is one of three shops in the bodega food court inside the popular Clovis Peacock Market and Artisan Eatery. The owners and managers Miguel and Lisa pass down favorite family recipes from Michoacan and Jalisco. So you know the food is prepared with great pride and must meet the owners' taste test. Moreover, they do not compromise the quality of meats and other ingredients that go into preparing the dishes. Everything is freshly made to order. In the same fashion as their popular food truck, the menu consists of tacos, burritos, tamales, tortas, taco salad, both combination taco plates and meat dishes served with freshly cooked beans (not refried), rice, and tortillas, quesadillas, desayunos (breakfast dishes, including breakfast burritos), nachos, chips, salsa, and guacamole.Meat this fresh, juicy, and well-seasoned at any local Mexican restaurant or food truck is hard to find. Their mouth-watering choices include carne asada (beef steak), carnitas (braised pork), chicken, and beef barbacoa (slow-cooked beef). Occasionally, al pastor (marinated pork) is also on the menu. All the meat choices are consistently flavorful, tender, and succulent. If I had to pick a favorite, I would say it is their juicy barbacoa, which has a wonderful aroma and the meat is infused with a zesty marinade. Not to be outdone, their award-winning salsas, including my favorite - the medium-spicy Roasted Artisan Salsa - are distinctly better than those I have tried at other local restaurants. No one balances the mix of fresh vegetables, spices, and consistency as Miguel's. The vegetables and onions are finely chopped and, in the same fashion as their meats, only the freshest, top-quality ingredients are used to achieve the perfect salsas: flavor-packed, right consistency and heat levels, aromatic, vibrant colors, and ultimate freshness. Other salsa varieties include a mild version, spicy habanero, salsa verde (green salsa), and mango salsa.Look for Tuesday, Friday, and weekend specials and discounts. They prepare party platters and do catering. Seasoned meats can be sold by the pound. You can also buy jars or freshly filled containers of their salsas.I have tried most of their menu items. You will be hard-pressed to find a 3 taco plate for under $12. Theirs is $10.99. There is even a 4 taco plate for $12.99. There are a variety of ways to get tacos, including street tacos, tacos dorados (fried tacos topped with cabbage and jalapenos), Gordita de Jalisco (corn tortillas cooked in a spicy sauce and filled with shredded pork or beef barbacoa, and taco locos (a large taco filled with chicken, shrimp, sauteed onions and peppers, tomatoes, cheese and special sauce inside a flour tortilla). The flavorful, juicy meats make any dish--whether tacos, quesadillas, tortas, nachos, burritos, or breakfast burritos--a great choice. The serving size, meat-to-filler ratio, and reasonable prices make every menu item a delicious meal and great value. If you feel you can go bigger still with their burritos or quesadillas, you can upsize to a Super Burrito or Drunken Quesadilla, respectively. These are prepared with double-layered flour tortillas, have more meat, and have added sour cream, pico de gallo, and guacamole. They provide warm, friendly service and are heavily invested in the community. For example, all the workers live close by, including those referred by the Special Olympics facility across the street, wide-eyed high schoolers with working permits, or recent graduates looking to gain valuable work experience.BEST BETS: Taco Locos, Taco Combo Plates, Burritos, Breakfast Burritos, Torta, Miguel's Macho Nachos, Barbacoa, freshly made salsas and chipsMiguel's Salsa is my top local pick for tacos, burritos, and fresh salsas. They are highlighted by their signature freshness, top-quality meats, spices, and great service.HOURS: Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Sunday, 9:00 AM to 4 PM

Tried the Macho Nachos on special! Delicious! I couldn't even eat half! I love Miguel and his wife! The staff members are super friendly as well. Chilaquiles were delicious also! Glad they're thriving. There looks to be more seating inside. (Not sure but appeared that way)

I've been here several times and I love the food that I've ordered until this past Saturday, I ordered a breakfast burrito. Firstly, I ordered a carne asada but got chorizo instead. I asked for everything else but what I got was a whole lot of pinto beans which completely overtook the entire burrito. I chalk that up to someone having a heavy hand on the beans but needs to have a heavier hand on the main item which should have been the chorizo. My wife who is Mexican was not a fan at all but we know people can have an off day. We will come back to support. Look for my other reviews of this place.

So came back today and once again had a few issues. I ordered a bean burrito for my vegetarian daughter and paid 2$ extra for rice...turns out the beans have chorizo in it so they ended up giving her a 10$ rice burrito. Now I'm not vegetarian so I'd prefer the beans that way. The younger girl was so sweet and had great customer service so I'll keep the rating high for that alone. I finally tried their hottest salsa and it finally had a little bit of kick. The chips and salsa on the side were nice because the salsa wasn't spicy at all the first time. this time though, the salsa was good! As long as the customer service remains great, I'll keep coming back to support.
