MG Bakery

I am from San Jose, Ca but I was was planning my wedding at the Hotel Mission de Oro in Santa Nella for 4/27/24. I was looking for a bakery in that area that did wedding cakes at a reasonable price that had great reviews and came across MG Bakery in Gustine. Gustine is so close to Santa Nella so thought we would give it a try. I called and got in touch with Gladis who helped me throughout the entire process. She was so helpful and gave me so much guidance on what I needed. She suggested ordering cupcake samples to try out the flavors of the wedding cake.. she also gave me suggestions on what the best sellers were, what filling goes best with the bread and also gave me feedback on my budget. My husband and I drove from SJ to the bakery and tried them out and omg they were all so delicious!!! We ordered guava with custard filling, carrot cake with vanilla filling and strawberry with strawberry jelly. All were so good! The bread was so moist and the flavors were so different and tasty! I sent Gladis photos of my inspiration and they did exactly what I asked for. We ordered a 3 tier cake and also did an order of cupcakes and it was almost all gone.. haha. Luckily the hotel staff saved my husband and I a plate of cake. We got so much positive reviews from our guests on the bakery. The pricing was so reasonable and honestly worth more than what they charged because it was THAT GOOD!!! Oh and by the way- They also delivered the cake to the venue for a small delivery fee and set up for us. They put the cake topper on and the greenery on the cake and cupcakes. It was so stress free. Loved our cakes. The owners are amazing ladies and super accommodating. Really easy to order. Will be order my cakes from here. Also, they have ice creams and mangonadas as well.

Always fresh, delicious and inexpensive. Best authentic Portuguese desserts I've ever had.Oh and you can order a sheet of the best flan in the world.

This is a wonderful bakery owned by a very sweet woman. She can pretty much create anything and she made us a delicious very last minute birthday cake recently. She went above and beyond to help out our family for a birthday cake at a moment's notice. She also has many delicious Mexican pastries. Please support this local small business during these hard Covid times!!!

Good but two times I found a super long black hair baked in my food .. sad about because it's super good food and they are so nice

My wifes birthday was coming up, so I asked her what kind of cake she wanted. She replied "A Walking Dead themed cake". I was racking my brain on trying to figure out where to get one. We recently moved to Gustine & I saw MG Bakery so i went in. The young lady behind the counter was a great help & gave me the information I needed. I looked on line to find a "sample" picture of a cake design. I returned a few days later to place my order. I spoke with another young lady & showed her the picture. She suggested a little red food coloring spattered on it ro look like blood too!The cake turned out GREAT! My wife LOVED IT.The cake looked great & tasted better! Moist & delicious. Thank you MG Bakery for helping my wife celebrate her birthday, we will be back

Great cakes on the inside and out. Gladis has a very special talent and takes a lot of pride in her work.Great customer service, always friendly, andcakes are delicious and reasonably priced. Side note, the mangonadas are amazing too!

MG created a wonderful birthday cake in the style of dulce de leche but with added strawberry glace and cream cheese. It was genius and very much appreciated by the recipient. Delivery of the cake was also timely. We will certainly be using this bakery in the future.

I love coming to this bakery, the bread is always fresh and so delicious! I love that they also have other snacks such as ice cream, smoothies, juices and much more. I was even more impressed by the cake they made for my son birthday, my son loved it coming from someone who doesn't like cake but always wants one for his birthday lol.. we will definitely be placing orders in the future

I ordered a custom cake from this bakery thinking we would get a delicious cake for how expensive it was, but no. It looked really pretty and good until it came to the taste test. We were so upset with how it tasted terrible. The frosting tasted like pure food coloring and the bread part of the cake was bone dry. Everyone at the birthday party said that it was bad. They were nice people, but their cake is not worth $55 or so. I was also told that someone bought a pastry from them and found a lot of hair in it and when they tried to get a new one to replace the hair filled pastry, the people who work there said that it was not their fault and that they will not replace it. I do NOT recommend this place. If you need pastries or a cake, go to Costco.
