I visited Max's Bistro and Bar on a Wednesday night with a few coworkers, all based on a recommendation from one of my company's owners--and I'm so glad we listened! From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, making it feel like the perfect spot for a relaxed dinner with great company. The menu had a variety of options, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. Each dish was thoughtfully prepared, fresh, and packed with flavor. It's clear that the kitchen takes pride in what they do.What really made the experience stand out, though, was the service. I was blown away by how attentive and considerate our server was. My cup of water was never empty, and even though we were chatting and catching up, empty dishes were cleared away without us even having to ask. At the end of the meal, our server even boxed up our leftovers for us without us needing to request it--such a small touch, but one that really made a difference in the overall experience. The only downside is that this place is a bit easy to miss if you're not looking for it, but once you're there, you'll quickly realize why it's worth seeking out. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by Max's Bistro and Bar. It's the kind of spot you can count on for delicious food, excellent service, and a relaxed vibe. I know I'll definitely be back!

Good for Casual Dinner. The interior is older Italian eclectic style with definitely an older 90s vibe. The tables are set with butcher paper which is a little odd for an upscale restaurant and table for two is pretty small. Being seated took a bit for having reservations which was not too inconvenient. The service at the table was very good by the server but lacking attention on refilling drinks by bussers. I tried the Halibut special which came out extremely quick and was a bit dry. I would not recommend. The truffle fries were very good and a great appetizer. Overall I wouldn't come back knowing if other similar restaurants but it was a decent experience.

A friend gifted me a gift card to this restaurant, and I'm glad they did--it turned out to be a memorable evening.I made a reservation for two on a Tuesday evening at 7 PM. We arrived at 6:55 and were seated promptly within 10 minutes. They started us off with bread and a balsamic vinegar and oil dip. The bread itself was unremarkable--borderline boring, to be honest--but I'm not usually one to frequent fine dining establishments like this, so I kept an open mind. Our waitress greeted us warmly and went over the specials for the evening. We decided to begin with the calamari appetizer, and it did not disappoint! It was perfectly seasoned with a satisfying crunch and balanced flavor that made it hard to stop eating. For our main course, we both opted for the special steak dinner. Let me tell you--these steaks were phenomenal. Cooked medium rare, they were incredibly tender and juicy, exactly how a steak should be. The steaks rested on a bed of mashed potatoes, which, while flavorful, had a somewhat chunky texture. I would've preferred a smoother consistency, but that's just personal preference. The dish also featured asparagus, cooked to perfection, and was topped with a rich, garlicky sauce that truly elevated the flavors. Immaculate doesn't even begin to describe it.To finish the evening, we tried the bread pudding. It was decent--pleasant but not mind-blowing, especially considering the elevated standard set by the rest of the meal. I've had more exciting versions elsewhere, but it was a sweet way to wrap up the experience. One standout aspect of the service was how attentive the staff was to keeping our water glasses full. That said, the gentleman responsible for refilling water was a bit heavy-handed, occasionally spilling water onto the table. It wasn't a major issue, but it did stand out.Overall, this was a delightful dining experience. Despite a few minor quirks, the exceptional steak and calamari alone make it worth a visit--perfect for a special date night!

This is definitely one of the Top 5 fine dining places in town. We started with some of their craft drinks, mine being the Apple A Day. Excellent. Next was the French Quarter Shrimp with the shrimp cooked perfectly. The sauce it was in was so tasty.Chopped wedge salad was next and it was good but there was a ton of blue cheese on it. Could have done with less. The main courses were the short rib, whose sauce and was outstanding, cooked to perfection and the roast chicken with mushroom risotto was also juicy and flavorful.Just a great experience and great food.

It's lunch time with the ladies and we have reservations at Max Bistros. My very first time there at this restaurant. It's an American cuisine fine dining with reasonable prices. There is ample parking out front and on the side of the restaurant. They have art all through the restaurant very inviting feeling. I was with a big group of people we all ordered the food and everyone enjoyed it. Check out my food photos below.

We visited for a birthday brunch with a party of about 13, and they were very accommodating by providing a table for gifts. The servers were really nice and inviting.I initially wanted to order the chicken Marsala, but I was disappointed to find it removed from the menu. Instead, I tried their special shrimp fettuccine, which I rated a 7/10; the sauce was a bit too thick and clumped up on the noodles. I really enjoyed the fried calamari 9/10 and their complimentary breads. Overall, while the food was a 7/10, the service was impeccable! The ambiance was comfortable and very spacious.

Love the burger and fried calamari. That's my usual order. I've tried specials but I wasn't too impressed. Their bread is also delicious. It's only offered by request during lunch hours.

I came here to celebrate a birthday. The burger here cannot be beat. The sea bass was good but a little overrated for the price. The service was very good from the staff at the front of the restaurant to the back of the house. The ambiance inside is dim with candle light that sets the mood for an upscale dining experience. I like sticking to tried and true dishes here hence the hamburger. I know you usually don't go to a nice restaurant for these but Max's burger is really good and the sweet potato fries are so much better than other restaurants. They use a tempura batter. There was a lot of people celebrating different occasions at the restaurant but they were able to seat us so we could not hear the conversations going on at other tables which was really nice.

We've been regulars of Max's for years and this is one of my favorite restaurants. The atmosphere is nice and service is usually excellent. They display Tomas paintings throughout the restaurant giving it a very unique art gallery feel. My go to orders are the Max's burger, salmon salad, Chinese chicken salad and grilled cheese sandwich which comes with soup and salad. They also have a Bahn Mi sandwich that is delicious and daily specials.

The food was really good, the service was amazing and the ambiance is better than expected! I got the risotto (not pictured), which actually also has tofu in its base. Lots of veggies and very filling! Bread is my weakness and this sourdough did not disappoint. The sweet potato fries are also a must, since the spot is well known for them! The ambiance was really nice, a restaurant feel. Not too formal and not too casual, perfect for work meetings. The service was amazing! I accidentally made the waitress recite all of the specials and descriptions, and she was not upset by it. She also came around and refilled our drinks almost every 15 min (and we were tucked in a corner, which is impressive).
