Went to this cute little studio which was not too hard to find ! Located nearby not too far in the area by river park. * Hair & Make up done for My Wedding !My Total Hair & Make-up : $ 165My hair was what I wanted which was old Hollywood style. And man did that hair last until the end of the night! But so did my make-up ! That is until my husband decided to wipe cake on the side of my face & hair *Face palm* It's all fun and games until your hair and make up get all messed up haha But so glad by then all the pictures were taken! First my Maid of Honor had an appointment and then I came in after. We both loved our hair and make-up! Emily was the lovely lady that did both ! She was so nice,friendly, and easy to talk to. Especially easy to work with. Our communication was all through E-mail. She responded in a timely manner and it was a smooth process.Would recommend for anyone looking for great service for their special day!!

Emily and her amazing team at MUA is my first call and recommendation for any special event. She did me and my girls and my mom for my wedding and dozens of other events. You're never going to get better results or customer service. Her studio is awesome, and includes all the glam a girl could dream of!

I really wanted to try Emily for my wedding, but it seemed like she did not care about my inquiry. In the voicemail it said to text her, which I did. I was very polite. She sent me a price list, I asked a question. No reply. I said ok, maybe she's busy. So I sent a friendly reminder message 4 days later, again ignored. I would not have minded if the business would have just told me they were booked, instead of being completely ignored. This rating is not based off their actual service, I'm happy that she does an excellent job when she does provide service :) . All the luck, just be more attentive to customers that are seeking services. I will attach a photo of the conversation. Thank you.

I was referred to Emily by a friend. I contacted her about booking my wedding and had an almost immediate response. She and her team did my makeup for my friends wedding before my own, so I got to experience her prior to booking. I was SO impressed by her skill, talent and HUMOR! I had a very pleasant experience. For my friends wedding. During my own wedding, I felt like a princess. She did my hair and makeup EXACTLY how I asked her to. Not how she thought I would look best. She took my recommendations into serious consideration and didn't ever make me feel dumb for suggesting it. I was nervous about her assistants not being as good as her, but they all did just as good as her! My makeup stayed all day and night, even into my flight to Rome for my honeymoon! I would totally recommend her!

Omg!! Amazing!!! There's no one like Emily!!! Best choice for my wedding makeup, she even had product for me to take with me!!I wish I could do what she does....wow!!

I contacted Emily less than a month before my wedding in June (due to my previous makeup artist overbooking). She assured me she had someone available for all the services my bridesmaids, mom, and I wanted and put me at ease.On the big and stressful day, Amanda was on site before all of us girls. She was amazing! I don't usually wear a lot of makeup, but she assured me (along with everyone else) that wearing more makeup looks best for pictures. They were totally right! She even changed the eye makeup when I said it was a little much for me. I felt great all day. I did the airbrush makeup. Considering she put it on at noon and it lasted until 11 that night, despite it being a June outdoor wedding, is amazing!

Emily is amazing! I have had her do my makeup twice and she helped me look BEAUTIFUL for my wedding and BIL's wedding as well. I brought my 13 yr old daughter - who loves makeup - to learn and talk with Emily while she did our makeup and she loved it! Thank you so much Emily! Emily and her team are amazing! From the trial to the day of my wedding she did not disappoint. My hair and makeup were impeccable (it's amazing to see what you potentially could look like daily if u had the skills to pay the bills like she does). They handled 7 other women's hair and makeup with ease, each person finishing up looking better than the next. And she was able to appease my maid of honor, who decided she didn't like her first hair style and navigated through the dramatics surrounding that with total professionalism. She was able to go from my mom who wanted simple hair and makeup to a bridesmaid who wanted show stopping makeup and did a phenomenal job on both. I could not have been more happy, my only complaint is she doesn't live in LA so I can have her do my hair and makeup on the daily! :0)

Emily is great! The service was excellent and she has a wonderful assistant, Anna who did the hair of my bridal party and myself for my recent wedding. Every one of us was thrilled with how our hair and makeup turned out! My only disappointment was that she was unavailable to do a trial run of my bridal look with me and I asked months before my wedding. My suggestion is to book your trials VERY early on since they are so busy. Overall, great experience and I would definitely use this vendor again and recommend them to others.

I was really looking forward to having Emily do my makeup. She was so booked that I had to wait 30 days for a trial. I arrived on the day of my trial only to be told that she ended up booking an event on the same day as my event, so her assistant would be doing my makeup instead. That was a disappointment, as I had wasted 30 days for this trial when I could have gone elsewhere. I stayed seated and let her assistant do my makeup. I was very confused that her assistant kept asking Emily questions like, what do I do next? How do I apply the eyeliner? Where do I put the contour? In the end, my makeup looked like it was done by my 5 year old. I paid $90 and left so frustrated by the entire experience. Emily really should have called me in advance to let me know she couldn't do my makeup. Why call yourself Makeup by Emily?
