It could be the scene of American Psycho. Or maybe Yogi bear, perhaps the perfect honeymoon between you and your bae.You get absolutely no cell reception, the WiFi is not that great either. No where in cyber space for you to run to. The place forces you to pay attention to it as well as whoever you are there with.I spent 6 nights here, and it felt almost like a lifetime. I laughed, cried, cooked, bathed, relaxed. I got accustomed to the cursed noises that the radiator makes. Got used to the dull knives and the many light switches around the house. I went to bed after a long relaxing bath, and woke up to the trees as my first view. Get dressed, put on my boots, got firewood, and put on a crappy pot of coffee so that I'm prepared to do nothing for the day. Point is, this place has personality; however, you feel free to be yourself. This place is not perfect, but it is great! It sleeps 6 people. Only 2 miles away from the southern entrance of Yosemite. Perfect for family & friends to disconnect from the busy life of the Silicon Valley and go out into the woods. You'll have to bring your own food and drinks, but the kitchen is fully stocked with all kinds of equipments - an amateur home cook's dream!I had absolutely the best time here and definitely recommend this place to anyone who needs to disconnect from the world for a brief moment and just breathe in some fresh air.

We recently spent four nights here for our honeymoon. Our stay was fantastic. When we were on our way to the Inn when we encountered a blocked road because of a fire. We called the Inn to let them know that we would be late. Grant quickly provided us with a detour. When we finally arrived, we were warmly greeted by Beth and Grant. They led us into their home and our first impression of the Inn was WOW! The entry/fireplace/living room are breathtaking. Next they took us to our room and helped us out with our bags. The room was a good size with a comfy bed, chairs, and awesome furniture. There is a large deck with two chairs and a table. Every day, we completed a short form to indicate our preferred coffee delivery and breakfast time. We opted for early coffee delivery so we could enjoy it on the deck. A couple mornings while sipping coffee, we watched deer stroll by. The breakfasts were great, I liked that they alternated between sweet and savory. The French toast was my favorite! During breakfast Beth and Grant would help us plan our daily visit to the park. Their suggestions were great, my favorites were biking in the valley, taking a photo at tunnel view, and walking through the Mariposa Grove of Trees. After a day in the park, there were wine glasses in the kitchen for guest use. Make sure to bring your own wine. Beth helped us with dinner reservations, we really liked the Narrow Gauge Inn. Great atmosphere and food!We enjoyed our stay and the hospitality. Beth and Grant were excellent hosts and some of the nicest people we've ever met. If you are visiting Yosemite, stay here for the service, comfort, and proximity to the park. I hope we can visit again!

Beth and Grant and Kamina are gracious hosts, bountiful breakfasts, cozy home feeling. Heartwarming, welcoming, loving. They make it more than a place. Low tech sensibility w/reliable wifi.Bear rustic is entirely opposite of my personal aesthetic but it works no matter. Extremely clean, minimalist decor - original art. Personal interaction but most respectful of privacy. This was my 2nd visit and despite having to work while here, it was restorative and inspiring.A 2 room inn lends itself to intimacy and sweetness. Enjoy the temper pedic beds, the cathedral ceilings and magnificent windows open to the sky, surrounded in forest.

Grant and Beth Robinson, along with their dog, Kamina were born to be innkeepers. Our room, the spacious and beautifully furnished High Sierra Suite, had everything a traveler could need - private deck, comfortable bed, roomy closet, plus a separate vanity (stocked with toiletries and bottled water). There were also several books and magazines about Yosemite and the surrounding area. Each morning French-pressed local coffee was delivered to our door. Breakfasts were delicious and beautiful. Every evening we returned from a day in Yosemite to relax by the incredibly grand - and yet very cozy - fireplace. We enjoyed a perfect balance of peace and camaraderie throughout our weekend. We only wished we could have stayed longer and look forward to returning.

Expensive buffet with limited availability. Many trays empty and the person carving the prime rib refused to give a thick slice. By 7 pm, only 1 choice of dessert. Although the food I did have was good, poor management of the buffet .... And the carver was not hospitable.

Do you want to experience the beauty of Yosemite without having to sleep in a tent or stay at a bustling, touristy hotel? Little Ahwahnee Inn is the perfect place to stay! It has the feel of a ski lodge, with soaring ceilings, rough-cut wood beams and a large granite fireplace. It offers only two guest suites, where you can melt into your Tempur-Pedic bed, relax in your soaking tub, or enjoy your private balcony amongst the trees and the quiet. The innkeepers, Beth and Grant, deliver coffee/tea to your room each morning and then serve a gourmet, home-cooked breakfast, both at the time of your choosing. They can also help you plan your daily excursions into the park and suggest local eateries for dinner. We just returned from a 5-night stay and are already planning a return trip!

Stayed here at the end of May. The home is beautiful and the innkeepers, Beth and Grant are very gracious hosts and will do their best to make your stay perfect. They stay out of your way, will come in and build a fire in the great room and leave out wine or beer glasses for the guests. The one breakfast we had, the French toast was awesome! If you like bed and breakfasts, don't mind the hour drive to the valley, and don't mind late breakfasts, then I would highly recommend this place. If however, you want to be closer to the park or arrive early, I would recommend another option. The breakfast is served late in my opinion (8:30 is earliest), which means you won't get to till 10am or later (can't beat the crowds). There is no coffee in the room. Grant delivers French pressed coffee at 7:30 am earliest. It is good coffee. However, I was up at 6 am everyday and wanted coffee so I had to go to the Tenaya Lodge to get it to hold me over till the coffee was delivered. During our stay, our internet didn't work on our 4 devices (phones and ipads) It wasn't our devices because as soon as we arrived in San Francisco at the hotel, they worked perfectly. Grant tried resetting the router but it didn't work consistently. Sometimes did, sometimes didn't. Overall a nice inn but not for us if we go back.

A beautiful, cozy inn, so clean that everything appeared new. Room furnishings were lovingly chosen and well-maintained. Very comfortable to stay at. Delicious, home-made breakfast with fresh ingredients and coffee/tea room service in the morning was extremely thoughtful. Nice deep soaking tub in the Sugar Pine Suite. It felt like we were staying at a friend's rustic vacation home. Thank you Beth and Grant for your gracious hosting!
