Steak bites appetizer with chimichurri sauce. That to me it looked and tasted more like strips of tri-tip. We were disappointed.
Freshly baked filled with cheese, sourdough bread.
Philly cheesesteak sandwich with sweet potato fries. Not enough cheese and fries were way overcooked.
Smokehouse burger with ghost pepper mac & cheese.
Black and blue burger with onion rings and a Belching Beaver IPA.

Our waiter was very sweet, but I do not recommend this restaurant. The garlic fries are super greasy. I got regular fries instead, they tasted like fish. I asked if they cook the fries in the same grease as the fish, and the answer is yes.The french dip sandwich and au jus was very bland. Our waiter was kind enough to comp us some cheesecake, which I appreciated. The decor is outdated, both the men's and women's bathrooms are not very clean and smell of urine. The whole place smells and looks old. It's not a place you want to celebrate a special day like Valentine'sThey were pretty empty for lunch, that should have been the first clue. But others have given it good reviews, so maybe it was better in the past.

This was my first time visiting this restaurant. I wanted to try their tri-tip but I didn't want the bread. I really wanted to try a salad with tritip, but they didn't have it. It was just a Caesar salad with tri-tip. Decided to have the tri-tip sandwich without the bread and had it wrapped in lettuce. There was so much tri-tip that it actually made three meals for me. The garlic fries were so delicious. The server said they did not come with Parmesan cheese, but in fact they did and that made it even better. I would definitely come back. I only wish they would come up with the a Tri -tip salad, not just Caesar.

I recently visited Legends Taphouse and Grill after many years. The restaurant, which began as Pea Soup Andersen's and has changed names a few times, still serves their iconic pea soup--a comforting constant. Though I didn't try the pea soup this time, I do enjoy split pea with ham.**Service: **Starting on a positive note, the service was excellent. Our server, Oliver, was attentive, friendly, and had a great personality, which definitely enhanced our dining experience.**Food: **I ordered the Smokehouse Burger, which was beautifully plated and looked superb. Unfortunately, the taste didn't match the presentation, reminiscent of something from Carl's Jr. rather than a specialty grill. On the other hand, the ghost pepper mac & cheese was delightful--not too spicy, but with a nice kick.My wife ordered the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich with sweet potato fries. The sandwich had a decent amount of meat but was lacking in cheese. A proper Philly cheesesteak should be oozing with cheese, not just have a thin slice on top. The sweet potato fries were overcooked, flavorless, and lacked any seasoning or sauce. The sourdough round was surprisingly the best dish we had. This large, freshly baked sourdough bread filled with gooey cheese was a real treat. We also tried the steak bites with chimichurri sauce. I expected sirloin tips or brisket burnt ends but received thin slices of dry tri-tip with a decent chimichurri sauce and some fried onions. This dish wasn't terrible but wasn't impressive either.**Drinks: **We ordered adult beverages--a blueberry lemonade with vodka for my wife and a Mexican candy margarita for myself. Both drinks were good but disappointingly weak for the price.**Atmosphere: **The atmosphere of the restaurant needed a little bit of attention, and the area we were seated in was a bit too warm for my taste. However, everything did seem to be clean, which always makes me happy.**Overall: **Legends Taphouse and Grill has potential, and I believe we caught them on an off day. Friends have mentioned better experiences in the recent past. While this visit was not stellar, it won't deter me from returning to try other menu items. The great service by Oliver is what ultimately bumped this review up to three stars.

Came on a Saturday around 1pm with my fiancée.Was greeted by the host, and was seated right away. There was ample seating in the dining room and bar area.We ordered Legends Tri-tip Sandwich, with Garlic fries and added the Ghost Pepper Mac N Cheese side. And WOW! The tri-tip was delicious! The consistency of the tri-tip was not too chewy, and they add a lot of meat to the sandwich! The garlic fries were DELICIOUS. It was nicely seasoned and had a good crisp to it.The Ghost Pepper Mac N Cheese is a must have side. The pasta is Cavatappi which isn't what I'm used to for a Mac n cheese but definitely a nice surprise. And it was ooey gooey and so cheesy! I would come here again if I happen to be in the area!

The building looked absolutely amazing when I arrived... after turning on Split Pea Boulevard, I was wondering what that was about... got into the restaurant and guess what their soup special is : Split Pea ;-)Interior of the restaurant has many Hans Christian Andersen and other Nordic references... very neat... they are subtle... but everywhere.I was seated quickly, asked if I wanted something to drink which I was promptly served. I ordered my lunch for dine in and dinner to go (out of town on a business trip).I ordered my drink to go with my lunch and barely got my drink served and lunch already arrived. The French dip was absolutely wondeful!!! Baguette nicely toasted, tri tip thinly sliced so it was melt in your mouth tender and a properly reduced Au Jus.I ordered Cole slaw with it to keep the carbs down... the flavor was good just a bit overdressed for my liking.Definitely a place I will come back to when in the area!

Decided to take a road trip to try this restaurant in Selma, about 25 mins south of Fresno along Fwy 99. Did not disappoint! Had the tri tips sandwich with truffles fries and the "Legend" burger (hamburger + tri tips + bacon + pull pork). Will definitely come back to try the rest of menu. Open 6am serving b.f., btw.

A makeover of Anderson's Pea Soup. It's now a pub with pub food. Huge parking lot, shared with the holiday inn and enterprise.Sports bar. The other dining rooms are not being used. They just have the bar room open for seating. Tables, bar seating and high tops. We went on a Tuesday and they had college football and a rerun of Monday night football.I ordered the classic burger. It was a tad dry. My honey ordered the fish and chips. It was very good. Crispy on the outside. Hot and moist inside. Next time I'll order the fish and chips. For a Tuesday they were pretty busy. Most tables were filled. Turnover is fast, so there is always a open table. I recommend this place.

ok so i rated this solely based off of our food and and chef interaction. me and my wife were just passing through town as we were headed to vegas for our anniversary so we stayed in the hotel next door, heard about the best tri-tip so we said lets try this place since we can literally walk outside and we are there.we were greeted with a smile and seated quickly we sat in the bar area since i wanted to try some of the draft beers great selection btw, now the lady who attended us just about almost ruined our experience (destiny) she just looked like she didnt want to be there, and answers were short and non descriptive of what they had on the menu, apparently they just put out a new menu and she didnt seem too excited about any of it, after waiting some time we just ordered what we thought would be good and let me tell you.. the ahi nachos fuego, the truffle fries were just so perfect so delicious, i got the bbq platter yes yes yes tri-tip was delicious ribs fall off the bone and the beans omg and its street corn in a cup we dont have these were im from but i will definitely get one anywhere they do have them from now on i dont even remember what my wife had got because i was so caught up with my plate and so we finished our meal with a churro ice cream and that was great never had anything like that but i didnt get to much of it because my wife had that to herself meanwhile while we were so thirsty and never got asked about refills or if we needed anything my wife had to walk up to a server (kianna) was so kind and asked for refills on her water and my beer because the bartender was missing for awhile.so after not seeing much of our original server the executive chef (ceasar) came out and was just walking around and talking to guest he just so happened to walk to our table he just seemed so happy and excited about the menu and asked how everything was and asked our opinion about the menu but we just geeked out because we recognized the chef from our hometown of san jose and we went to the restaurant he worked at over there and he did a fantastic job with the menu in san jose. so we couldnt have left without complementing him on all the great flavors we just experienced and it really seem to have made his day because he really changed our experience after being ignored by the staff. he also invited us to come for breakfast before we leave for our trip. the ambiance we cozy they have very few tvs and they had touchtunes so thats always fun im glad to say we left full and content maybe we will stop by on our way back in a few days.. vegas here we come

Very weird looking building and odd vibe. They were not busy at all yet we stood by the door for a while before anyone came out to seat us. We waited for such a long time for everything and ended up just leaving before we order our food.

Stopped in to try their breakfast. Waitress was very friendly and gave good service. Food was not good. Hubby ordered a waffle and ate only half, said it didn't taste very good. I ordered the breakfast skillet-it came with an overcooked scrambled egg on top of tater tots, pieces of bacon, ham, sausage and green peppers (i asked no onions). I choked half of it down. Asked the waitress if they always use tater tots for breakfast and she said no, they were out of potatoes (she should have told me this before). I later saw that my eggs could have been made to order, I was not given that option as she didn't ask how I'd like my eggs. Not a good experience.
