I am very grateful to have found Dr. Ziyar. I have been seeing him for a little over a year now. He is very nice, friendly, smart, and comforting. His office staff are amazing as well. When I was scheduling an appointment, they were helpful and was able to accommodate to fit me in Dr. Ziyar's busy schedule. Dr Ziyar does so much more than just giving me medication. He is a therapist who helps me discover answers to my life. Thank you Dr. Ziyar!

This doctor has had two patients die under his supervision that could have been easily avoided. All the court docs are online, it's easy to find. He is still under strict review due to this. You cannot make up all these bad reviews. I'm telling you right now, go somewhere else so you don't have to write a review and call the med board/ fill out paper work like us. Get help from a real doctor that will help you. During the years of having to see this Afghanistan graduate... every single one of the people working there had left within a couple weeks, with the exception of two, which stayed for about 4 months. They literally walk out during the day and never come back. I highly doubt he keeps the records of their employment because if the board had looked into this and saw how many people quit, obvious red flag. The med board will look and call them now though. Not only has he cursed at me multiple times saying "get the f out of here, what the f are you doing talking to the secretary, all the dirty cursing towards the pharmacists, he also tried to walk at me like he was going to do something. His son stopped him though which we both woud happen. Then right after acted like they were on the phone with police which was obviously not believable because there was a witness there to prove he was the aggressor. I then went to my car to wait for my pharmacy to confirm the scripts. He didn't fill one of them as always (more on this issue in next paragraph) . I went back in and asked him why he didn't fill it. He said he doesn't have to, but he did every single other time all those years. Yes, this was shortly after him cursing at me and trying to walk up on me so it wasn't a calm or pleasant exchange. When I asked him to refer me to another doctor he said no, which is also illegal on top of everything else that's illegal. He eventually filled the script because he knew I'd call the pharmacy. Regarding prescriptions... He has not refilled my prescriptions on a Friday multiple times, making me go though withdrawals. So after every visit I had to sit in my car until the pharmacy confirmed. Half the time I had to go back in and tell him the pharmacy never got the order. Then he goes on to blame the "stupid f ing pharmacists who think they are doctors."There's more I could say, but it's personal and already filed with the medical board. I have been clean for 4.5 years now. How I didn't relapse and give up is a miracle from all the hell this little man has put me through. I believe he has been bullied his entire life and this is his way of coping with it. He loves having that power over you with the meds. He will also wear a mask for covid, and then guilt trip you for not wearing one. This was in 2024. Yes, he's one of those. For everyone that has left a bad review and has been hurt, stay strong. You got this.

I saw Dr Ziyar today for the first time and last time. He underestimated my grief by telling me he knew EXACTLY how I felt, how could he has never birthed a child let alone lost one. He offered me drugs although currently I'm not suffering from depression, he told me that I completed the depression questionnaire incorrectly because my score was zero. Although the instructions were to complete the form with feelings from the past 2 weeks he said to redo it going back one year because mine was unrealistic. He told me my son "chose" to leave because he used drugs ( he accidentally overdosed). This Dr. is not empathetic or compassionate, he's in the wrong profession.

Update: I spoke with my insurance and now they have been involved, an investigation is going to be opened and I am now proceeding with legal.Latif, keep responding since you responding is actually helping my case. My insurance is not happy about your false allegations. I pay $500 a month for my insurance through work, my work also isn't happy. Right now you put my health at risk and this will not be taken lightly and I will speak up for everyone! This is patient abandonment no Doctor can abandon a patient without proper notice if the insurance was not paying like this doctor is stating (which he lied about) then he should have written a letter and given enough notice of termination and has to give the patient enough time to find a doctor. Please Read the last paragraph of this review.I will have a case number for malpractice and will update that review so everyone who sees this can now also be apart of the claim. My insurance pays all payments on time. This is abandonment of patient it is against the Law. Latif will be investigated for this.*Today I experienced something that no one should ever go through, but unfortunately I have noticed by the reviews that I have not been the only one to go through what I did. I called today to schedule an appointment I have BlueCross PPO Private insurance through my work. Not that it matters what type of insurance anyone has, since every patient should be treated equally. I was told I was scheduled for today 8/9/2024 at 4pm with a $20 co pay which is what I should be paying for my insurance. Well turns out the Dr. Ziyar tried to upcharge me. That first conversation happened at 10:04am, at 11:17 I received a call stating that my copay was changed to $40hr due to now me seeing a professional Dr. (I have been seeing Latif long enough to know this was not right). I questioned the copay since the copays were just not the same every time. I called my insurance immediately to see why my copay keeps changing since typically when that happens I will receive a call from my insurance. Either way I said that was fine and that I will continue the appointment at 4pm, and pay my $40. When my appointment came, I at that moment was told that now my insurance was not going to be accepted so I would have to pay cash and that price would be $100 cash. I let them know that at this point I had no choice and would pay the $100 fee but let them know also my concerns which were that at this point this is unethical & malpractice and the change of pricing and stating that they don't want to work with BlueCross PPO all of a sudden was not okay. Now this did happen on a Friday at 4pm, on weekend so obviously now I am being refused my medication, and would end up in urgent care in order to get another prescription, but when I think about it now the copay for urgent care is actually cheaper than what he charges. The call ended with go find a new doctor than was hanged up on.I have taken screen shots of the actual doctor responding to these reviews and calling people, dirty and there's even one comment under the reviews where the doctor actually responds to the review and responds with the following "You are a stupid drug abuser" Extremely unethical. We are now all going to write letters of our experiences, and make sure to follow through with the necessary measures. I will make sure to share my story with everyone. Also all the conversations happened in my car I have a 360 dash cam so that means that it records all audio. So all conversations are actually saved on my dash cam just in case someone tries to say differently you can respond to this review. Just know I will be responding a different way. The right legal ethical way.California Law, Please read below;California defines patient abandonment as terminating the relationship without written notice to the patient. By law, the patient must have enough time to find another physician. If they decline further treatment or consent to the termination, however, they cannot legally claim abandonment

This place was ok when I started here as a patient about 2 years ago. I never actually saw a doctor, and after my first visit I would have monthly calls with other staff for about 5 minutes to get refills on prescriptions I had been taking for 5 and 20 years, respectively. But then my insurance company suspected they were being overbilled and this place became a nightmare. When the pharmacy was out of my medication, this place would require that I have another "appointment" to transfer it to another location. I would have to call back multiple times to make sure it was done and a few times the doctor's office got my medication wrong (as in they thought I was on anticonvulsants when I never took anything of the sort). I don't know if they just got too busy or hired terrible front desk staff but it is now very sketchy -- almost like a profit-making front without a care for patient well-being. I strongly recommend staying away if you're looking for a reputable, professional practice.

If I could give this office zero stars, I would. The doctor and office staff were far more worried about getting their money from Tricare than they were about my child. He had been having a really hard time and needed some intervention. Someone to sit and listen to him and his concerns about the meds he had been taking. This hack didn't even want his history, just threw some pills at him and pushed him out the door. This office is exactly what is wrong with the mental health care system in this country.

I just called the office to make an appointment with Dr. Ziyer. I was told that I will be seeing a NP and that Dr. Ziyer will be seeing only hospitalized patients. I was further informed that I would most likely be unable to see him again in the office. There was no forewarning of this change from his staff. Dr. Ziyer has been kind to me, but after years of trying to find a Psychiatrist... and finding one ... and now? Well, enough said. It's heartbreaking.

I had a terrible experience with Dr. Ziyar. His bedside manner was incredulous and humiliating. The sensitive matters for which I sought his expertise were invalidated, and when I told him I was struggling to tolerate a medication he accused me of drug shopping. I left the appointment in tears to which he responded by asking me to close his door on the way out. I would strongly dissuade anyone from seeking treatment here. Or if you've had a similarly poor experience, please know that better psychiatrists do exist. Keep looking and keep continuing forward. Don't let this guy make you feel worse than you already might. He's not worth it but you are.

WARNING!!!!Latif Ziyar claims to be the #1 psychiatrists in Fresno. I'll start this off by saying he works very hard to make a great first impression. Don't be fooled! When I first saw him I told him i had ptsd and anxiety, as I was trying to explain what happened to me as a child he quickly cut me off and told me not to go into detail and that he just wanted me to answer his questions directly with yes or no answers. I didn't really question this because I was desperate for someone to help me and my insurance only lets me see a handful of doctors and I was reaching the end of the list. that day I left with a prescription for Wellbutrin and topamax, I was told to follow up if I had any concerns. As I got home and googled these medications it didn't really seem like this is what I needed but I started the medication at home and continued to take them for a week. Unfortunately the side effects were just to much for me so I scheduled another appointment over the phone. The day of the appointment was yesterday. He was 30 minutes late for the phone call. Everything started okay but as I began to raise concerns about the medication and how it was making me feel he insisted on upping to dosage. When I told him that I had been speaking to my mother who is a FNP and that I didn't think that was a good idea he became very aggressive and told me that my mother should treat me since I know everything. He even called me DR. Meghan. When I asked if he was serious and expressed that he was scaring me he told me that he didn't have time for this appointment and that he was no longer providing me care. He abandoned me.The same day, hours later, I drove to the office to obtain my medical records and notes. He refused to give them to me and when I pressed him as to why he told me I could obtain a lawyer and called the police on me.Not only is this malpractice but he's also violating HIPPA laws.Fast forward to today, a simple google search that is public record, shows he has caused a death of a patient by proscribing medication that he knew could have a fatal outcome. On top of that, two patients under his care have previously committed suicide.Mental health is serious and should be taken as such. People should be able to trust their doctors!55320: medical licenses number(See for yourself)If I could give zero stars I would

I've been a patient of Dr. Ziyar's for 16 years now, and I won't go anywhere else!!! Dr. Ziyar has always treated me with respect, kindness, and with great care. He always listens and allows me to help him better understand what is going on in my head. He always makes me feel like I am being taken care of and listened to. When it came time to stop taking my narcotic medication, he was there to help me through it and to help me get on top of it. He has never judged me or made me feel bad in any way. I recommend him highly. He will be the only psychiatrist that I ever visit!!
