Las Palmas Taqueria Y Mariscos

The food, the service, the atmosphere, all five stars. I'm from Oregon and stop in Los Banos twice a year. This was the first time we've tried food here. It will forever be our go to now! Best tacos ever!!!!!

I ordered 2 tostadas de ceviche to go and they were very generous with the portion. My girlfriend had the aguachile verdes(she asked for the camarones to be cut in half because they are big pieces) and she said it was good just was not spicy. We walked in around 4pm, it was not that busy we were helped right away with a very helpful and nice cashier. Small restaurant with inside and outside seating. only con was that it was pretty hot in there maybe due to the weather being over 100 degrees but very good food overall

Taste was okay because I liked the sauce but the service is so incredibly slow. I waited maybe 15 minutes or more for 2 tacos! It was $8 for 2 and one was a fish taco. It was fried and it seemed that maybe it was frozen prior? Just didn't seem fresh. The carne asada was maybe a bit charred. Kind of pricey for the tacos that you get. Not worth it. I was a bit disappointed. Don't think I'd go back.

I ordered 2 campechanas from DoorDash to pick up . The place feels lifeless, the tvs are all turned off, I didn't even see a menu anywhere. The lady was nice. When I got my food, the taste was good but I didn't like is that they only added like 3 pieces of shrimp to each campechana and a small amount of octopus, they did add a lot of vegetables and juice. Won't be coming back for campechanas.

Love coming to this family owned restaurant. Always are welcomed with open arms and delicious Mexican style cuisine.

This place isn't stellar but it's not bad either. Service was really slow; for two plates of tacos my husband and I were sitting for more than 30 minutes. The tacos themselves were a bit charred, which wasn't my personal favorite but to each his own. The salsa on the tacos was spicy to someone like me that eats spicy food regularly, so it might be too much if you're not a spice lover. The tortillas did taste handmade. I asked for no onion but they brought my tacos out with onion anyway. They did offer to fix it, but I honestly didn't want to wait any longer so I just scraped it off. The staff appeared all-feminine and were very sweet. The establishment itself was a pretty typical ambiance; a quaint dining room with music playing from the kitchen and a few metal benches outside in decent condition. Like I said, it's not a bad spot but it wasn't remarkable either.

Everything about this place is authentic and wonderful. The staff could tell that my friends and I were weary travelers and took wonderful care of us. Two burritos, a quesadilla, and the asada fries. I will remember this meal and this place forever. Absolutely perfect.

Best Mexican food I've ever had! Can't recommend this place enough. If you're in or passing through Los Banos, definitely stop here.

As a last minute decision we pulled into Las Palmas on the way through Los Banos from Yosemite. It didn't look busy from the parking lot, and had the appearance of a local spot. I was not quite sure what to expect. The woman who took our order was very friendly and helpful. My buddy ordered a carne asada burrito and I ordered a wet burrito with grilled chicken and verde sauce. She mentioned it would be a 'few minutes' and directed us to our table in the small dining room. After what felt like a little longer wait than I would have thought necessary, the woman brought us our meals. There were HUGE!! Seeing the looks on our faces the woman smiled and before we even took a bite said " I'll bring a box". My burrito was phenomenal!! Fresh, flavorful, smothered in cheese and sauce - it was as delicious as it was generous. I used the box. My buddy raved about his as well and didn't need the box. As others have commented, there is a wait for the food. But seriously, for food that good? I'm totally fine waiting! I'll be stopping by again on my next drive through Los Banos!

This place is the best for shrimp cocktail. Their coctel mixto is so fresh and has an amazing taste you don't need to add any more ingredients to it. Only thing I will say it can be very slow for service, but other than that it's the best place for mariscos and tacos de birria!
