This is a "hole in the wall" restaurant with great personable customer service, authentic dishes and good prices. The menu is vast with photos for the dishes too. They serve chips with salsa at the table, that comes with actual homemade salsa. Tried the Carne asada tacos, adobada, birria chiva (goat) and the taco Dorado (basically hardshell taco). Also 3 grilled jalapeños and a cup of their consume. The consume is the highlight, it's perfectly made! Also sampled the Costillas de puerco con nopales which is spare rib with cactus. Meat falls off the bones and the cactus is cooked just right. Tried the Jamaica juice and the horchata. I'd recommend the Jamaica, pretty refreshing. Came here twice in a row and will continue coming!

Chicken and asada burrito ordered with jalapeños added and a shrimp cocktail ordered too. The worker said it would be 15 minutes. We went to get it. Asked for hot sauce when I went in to pick it up. They actually have a pick up window. I went right up to it and told an older gentleman worker and then another worker and they were both really kind. I paid for the order and it took a little bit to get it all worked out, but worked out well. After paid, the worker handed me the order along with good day wishes. Appreciated! Lunchtime! Shrimp cocktail and asada chicken burrito split in half. My half was really delicious! The shrimp cocktail was fresh and absolutely delicious! The burrito half was fantastic' Especially with the hot sauce included. Fresh tortilla and Great meat with the beans and rice! The hot salsa was great too! Spicy kick! Mother said hers was great! She said she loved the burrito and shrimp cocktail! Good service and absolutely delicious lunch! Highly recommended!

I've been going to this restaurant for years and I will never go there even again. I order a plate of beef birra not only to get served 90% of fat on my plate I couldn't even get 1 taco of meat for me to enjoy. I also order a goat birra only to find small tiny baby ribs? Now I've made hours before and these were not of a goat. I don't know what they are serving but this was just unacceptable. I do not recommend this place at all it's going downhill.

It's important to have a backup restaurant, especially if you're looking for an obscure item like goat stew. Birria de chivo, actually. (Now before we move on to the La Posta itself, I'd like to point out that Birria de chivo is made from adult goat, and according to Spanish nomenclature this would be a "billy goat". In Texas, Birria de cabritto is made from a younger, smaller male goat. What seems to me a bit of sexual discrimination is that nowhere have I found Birria de Chiva, which dish would be made from the female goat. I have had experience with billy goats, and from what I know about them it would be useful if anywhere there is Birria de ChivA. Minor detail, but just sayin'.) So my previous favorita in Fresno for this dish was a very small place, La Esmeralda. However, the phone was no longer in service and Google maps shows a barber shop in that location. So I went looking for backup. And that's how I happened here, fortunately so. This very small place is a great find, in a part of town where there are a great many great finds. It is on the western side of E. Belmont, which admittedly gets a bit sketch as you go east of hwy 99. But working girls aren't numerous here, it's close to the park, so if "neighborhoods" bother you this one isn't baaad. The menu is basic, but not Cali-Mex, and all made-to-order good. I had the birria plus a burrito plus take-out menudo. I guess this kind of place has to exist only in backwater areas, but the food in these "hole in the wall" restaurants is way better in simple authenticity than the creative stuff we get for three times the money in more toney places. They speak English here, really friendly, families with kids, World Cup on Spanish TV. I imagined I was in Jalisco.

Lengua and Birria tacos are amazing. The refried beans are homemade and creamy perfect. Anything Menudo their goats stew. Their service is friendly. Parking is scarce because there is a convenience store next door. Very authentic not Americanized I will go back again in order different things if I had to say anything negative I would have to say someone needs to work on their hot sauces, a bit too watery and not hot enough and I am a gringo

I order the birria de res (beef birria) it was very good. Wife order machaca with rice and beans. Corn are home made. I wished we had authentic Mexican food restaurant like this palace in Tulare. Great service by staff! We'll be back to try menudo and other items later when I'm in Fresno area!

I'm sorry after picking my order and seeing that the shrimp cocktail that I bought from here was as small as it was.....I wasn't happy. So I proceeded to eat it cause it might have been that delicious that is was worth 15$, but that wasn't the case. It had very little shrimp, they gave me ONE lime, the flavor wasn't the worst, but chips were stale. I'm sorry to the small business owners but facts are facts. I will probably not return even tho the lady I spoke to said that I can't judge on the cocktail cause that wasn't what their specialty. I

Local family owned restaurant near the tower district of Fresno. The food is mediocre for authentic Mexican food. The service is great, just the only down side to this restaurant is the ridiculous high prices on the menu. Quick Tip - Bag bought Chips and salsa in house are free but 2.99 to go ? Give it a try if your in the area just make sure you have CASH because it's an extra $1.00 charge for debit/credit.

Very disappointed, the service was terrible. This place is so filthy and unsanitary. Someone's engagement ring was in my shrimp cocktail. I don't recommend you coming here it's very disgusting. Go to tacos Tijuana instead.
