La Peau Spa & Laser

Tried La Peau a 1-2 years or so ago and at that time, I thought it was an off experience so I decided to try La Peau again today. Scheduled a 60-minute massage and I arrived about 15 minutes before the massage. The front desk service was personable. The ambience was inviting as previously. However, the problems started once the massage started. It would be nice if the masseuse introduced herself by name... I mean literally I'll be half naked in a room with you in a few minutes. The least you can do is introduce yourself. We started about 5-minutes after the hour and ended 5 minutes before the hour -- making this a 50-minute massage. The masseuse did check on the pressure. However, there were periods of when she would simply just pause and stop massaging. No, she was not getting oil or hot stones or towel. She, legit, just paused holding my arm or her hands were just simply on my back. After the massage, I was still so sore and tight as if I didn't even get a massage. It's a great place to sleep for a lot $$$ but if you are expecting a real massage try out Muses for a much better experience and if you just want someone to massage some knots out without the frills, I'd highly recommend getting a chair massage at Foot Reflexology at Cedar and Shepherd.This was a underwhelming experience with mediocre customer service. For the amount of money they are charging, you have SO many better options in Fresno/Clovis area.

I would never go back to this spa!! My Estheticians was amazing and this poor review is not a reflection of my treatment!My mom, sister, niece and I scheduled a spa day. My sister called to book because it was easier. A 50%deposit was required,(ok, fine). When we got there I asked if I can pay for my own service. She said if I pay using a different card then it was booked with she will charge an additional service fee.(ok fine) so I asked if I can pay the tip separately, same answer. I asked for a detailed receipt so I can know what to venmo to my sister. There was an 18% service fee added. We said oh is this the tip. She said no, that the managers fee for having a group of 4. I said why, she didn't really know. I said $85 for a service fee and nothing extra was done for us. That was crap!! I will never go back there.

Booked a facial for me and my mom weeks in advance unfortunately, my mom got vertigo that day and had to cancel hers . I understand not getting a refund, but they wouldn't let me use the amount I had paid for her to add onto my treatment that day. They were very unfriendly and still expected a tip.

I was quite embarrassed with my experience at this spa. I had booked an early galentines experience with my bestie from San Francisco. I booked us both Swedish massages and was told when I booked to come early to enjoy their room. My friend had just come in from SF and was so tired so we were looking forward to unwinding. We got there about 45 minutes early. We were not greeted by the staff in a friendly way at all. We were taken to the back and told to put our robes on. We were not offered any drinks or anything at all. I was a little annoyed but tried relaxing. Next thing you know people come in with drinks in their hands and before I could even say anything we were whisked away by the masseuse. My massage was good but my friend said she had the worst massage she ever had. She tried communicating and telling her the needs including her backache but she was not listened to at all. She came out of it with worst pain. There was also another couple in there with their drinks. We quickly got dressed and were asked to leave a gratuity. Not thanked again by the front desk workers. Will not return there are much better massage spas in Fresno.

I am not a big fan of massages so I will not be reviewing that today. However, I do come here for European facials and b12 shots. The staff is exceptionally nice here. The building is beautiful and fancy and you definitely will get royal treatment. I'm always greeted with a warm welcome and beverage offering. They recently expanded and have a whole new area for their cool toning, sculpting, injectables. Etc The European facials are super relaxing and they customize the skin care products depending on your type of skin. They also have really fun events! With Djs, open bar and yummy snacks and deals. I would recommend them for your self -care needs.

Love the new larger space and the med spa across the way. I so Enjoy the large lounge area and appreciate the dressing room. Still great services and staff. My favorite spa in town!

I was able to book a same day appointment for a massage - Jacklyn listed to my needs and did an incredible job with the massage. This is the only place I have ever been in the Fresno area, and I will continue to book my appointments here - wonderful business.

I left very annoyed today. I was sent my annual birthday 10 percent off. I use it every year. Normally I book a massage and a facial but this year I decided to book a package. I just had twins and I was trying to treat myself. I told the receptionist at booking I had a birthday 10 percent coupon. She assured me that even though I was putting down a deposit that my coupon could still be applied to the package and that it would all be worked out at the end. Cool. I put down 160 dollars as a deposit for a 320 dollar package. The total with my discount should have been 320-32(10 percent) = 288. I paid 160 in advance, so my total at the end should have been 128, plus tip, which I always leave. I get to the end of my relaxing day and go to pay- and first the receptionist tells me that because I paid a deposit she can't take my coupon and I could use it some other time?? It's a birthday month coupon and it's Jan 27th. So no. Then she figures out how to work the computer and tells me it's not off the entire package, it's just one service in the package and she "doesn't think" the coupon applies to packages. And she "doesn't think" I should be able to take 32 dollars off my service.Nowhere in my email does it say it doesn't apply to packages- just not discounts or promotions. Which this wasn't, this was something off their menu. I have applied it to my total visit multiple times in the past. Then in all of this arguing my gift card gets forgotten. I'm just really annoyed- I get one day to myself. And it was completely ruined at the end. I told her I wanted someone to call me, still waiting on that.

Unfortunately the customer service lady in the front hung up on me while I was trying to book, she was very rude and not welcoming I already had a previous massage which was great but whoever I was talking to was not nice at all which is such a bummer for a nice place like this.

I have been a loyal client of this spa for years, regularly bringing my husband for couples massages and treating friends to spa days. Unfortunately, my experience yesterday was very disappointing. During our couples massage, my therapist repeatedly scratched me with her nails, barely applied any pressure, and often paused without explanation, simply standing still. It was one of the least effective massages I've ever had, and I was quite frustrated with the experience.Given the spa's reputation, I expected much higher standards. When I mentioned my concerns to the front desk, I only received a brief apology and was still charged the full rate. I hope this feedback can help improve the quality of service, as I've always had positive experiences in the past and would love to see this spa continue to maintain its usual high standards.
