La Parrilla Mexican Restaurant & Bar

Excellent! I had the Enchiladas Caseras with potato. I'll definately be ordering this again. It's nice to have a vegetrian option besides cheese enchiladas! Oh yeah, my wife had the Martha vinegarette with her salad and she raved about it!

WOW FACTOR? No.HAVE AGAIN: The Mole Tapatio was pretty good, but had some bones. Chips were ok.NOT HAVE AGAIN: Table salsa was too spicy.

Their food is delicious. It's Americanized but it's still delicious. But the customer service is lacking what the true meaning of customer service means. Especially the younger girls they just don't understand that all you have to do is be nice smile and bring our orders and extra napkins and keep our drinks felt. Easy simple I know because I did this type of work for 25 years.

Started with warmed chips and salsa. Followed by a Mexican mule. It was refreshing and tasty. I dined alone but with the action at the table next to me and the basketball game on there was plenty of entertainment while I waited for dinner.The table started with just a couple but I could tell they were either brother and sister but more likely "just friends". Mr. Cool, her boyfriend, eventually showed up. Loud and over-confident again just a free show for me while I munched on chips waiting for the shrimp dish. I overheard that table asking for more chips and salsa and the waitress informed them they started charging. Tricky. I heard about the extra charge as I was just going to ask for more myself. But hold up, my food is coming. Thank goodness I didn't order more chips. I can't believe I almost finished them.Ok to the food, the shrimp Diablo was tangy at first but the more I ate the hotter my tongue became. Lol. I liked the heat and I was totally full. Tasty but too many chips. Thinking about that meal wants me to go back for more. I'd go to the one by my house at McHenry village, I happened to be in oakdale so that's why I visited the Riverbank location.

Horrible service. No one waited on us till we asked. Then now they charge for chips after the first one then charge for salsa after the third one. Will be getting my Mexican food at another restaurant from now on. Very sadPS food is still amazing.

First time here. Nice traditional Mexican restaurant atmosphere. Plenty of parking, plenty of seating, prompt friendly service. Great chips and salsa.We both ordered Chili Relleno from the lunch menu, $13, plus iced tea, $3.50.The order comes with rice and beans.We both agreed the Rellano was about the worst we ever had - gummy, thick coating - maybe microwaved? Everything else was good. The menu was extensive and I am guessing we just ordered the wrong thing.

The food was incredibly delicious!!The service was fast, friendly and they were constantly making sure we were well taken care of!!

Service was great, the girl at the front took our order and got us are food quickly! Food was great!

If I could give this 0 stars I would. My family and I have been to this restaurant for over a decade and the quality has gone so downhill. The food is borderline inedible. The enchilada sauce was somehow dry and tasted very old. The beans genuinely tasted like a fart. Everything just smelled terrible. Avoid this place at all costs.
