La Morenita

First of all, the service is top shelf. Always asking you if you need a drink refill or more chips/salsa.I've eaten here about four times and the food is good, mostly. Today I had a chile verde burrito but it was dry. The cheese on the refried beans did not melt all the way. The asada enchilada was very good.My friend had the meatball soup and he said that it was ok. The place is always packed so that is a good sign. It's a great place to meet friends for lunch/dinner.

I cannot believe I haven't written a review for this place. I have been coming here for over 15 yrs when I am traveling in the area. I have introduced so many friends and other co workers to this place I have lost count. If you read any of my review of Mexican restaurants I always start at the same spot the chips and salsa and while the chips aren't homemade they are always fresh but the homemade salsa is so delicious!! Service here is always top notch. The staff is always great and on top of your experience. Food I have never been disappointed and the same for my last experience. I had a spicy chicken burrito covered in their green sauce. This was a flavor bomb and not for the weak. The spice was definitely up there from the jalapeño and loved every bite or what I could finish. Inside is always top notch and clean. Only wish I lived closer because this would be a definite weekly stop.

Wow!! $70.00+ for two people! How?? No alcohol ordered. We each ordered an entrée, and we got the large bean dip, and a fried ice cream to share for dessert, one soda and one water. When did their prices sky rocket??!! We dined here not that long ago, and everything has jumped since then, by two or three dollars each. Plus, they charge extra based on a "credit card" price and claim that if you pay cash it is less, they still overcharged us on every item, even with the so called "discounted price".We started with the bean dip, without verde sauce. The beans were very runny. It tasted good, but the consistency was off, for sure. The soda ran out on the last refill. It was mostly watered down, not sweet at all.I ordered my shrimp enchiladas without sauce. In the past they have smothered it in cheese. As you can see from my photo, there is hardly any cheese on top of my tortillas, or my even the beans. I requested no onions and easy seasoning, which they did. It tasted great, the service was decent. We just cannot get over the price hikes or the upcharge for credit, when we paid cash!He had the chicken a'la parrilla. He received more cheese on his beans than I did. His chicken was pretty dry.It is very disheartening that this is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants, but we won't be back any time soon!

I love the shrimp tacos and the great service. I have been going to La Morenita in Ceres for 20 years. I have been going to La Morenita in Turlock for 35 years and it is excellent. You can get a great meal at either one restaurant.

This Ceres restaurant is our "go-to" place when we are in the area and want to link up with old friends. We went this time on Bob's birthday. The waiter overheard us as we chatted with our friends and surprised us with a Happy Birthday song and special dessert after our meal. The food was good and the service was excellent. Definitely a place to which we will return again and again!

Ordered two chicken enchiladas with red sauce. The edge enchiladas were chocked full of white meat, which I liked but the red sauce was awful. It tasted bitter. Food was lukewarm upon delivery yet the servers delivered with mitts which told me it was microwaved. The service was good, servers were friendly but it would have been nice if I was offered a drink refill. Left thirsty. Ambiance was noisy with UFC fight on tv. I was with my son and he did not like his burrito and I don't really think I'll be back. I'll stick to El Rosa.

Looking for amazing Mexican food and a great atmosphere then stop on to LA Morenita. Love their spicy micheladas. My go to is the vegetarian burrito . When me and my coworkers want some tasty lunch and the extra cash we come here. Yes it is more expensive than our favorite taqueria but there's a reason. It's a nice restaurant with nice staff and clean.

The food is very good the service is over the top and they remember what you want the shrimp in garlic sauce is out standing and they always remember you

Great food and a good dinner service from Nancy. The food tasted good and wasn't as expensive as we usually spend at other restaurants. Only issue was we showed up during happy hour, but our drinks were priced as if we ordered them after. We didn't care to make it an issue but that did taint our experience. Still a great dinner and ambiance

The fajitas are absolutely ridiculously good, I'm salsa ting just thinking out it. Great service, regular waiting times, the outdoor seating is real pretty and clean, it's overall a nice vibe.
