6/1/24 Getting breakfast for tomorrow!! Called and ordered an egg white veggie scramble and it comes with toast & country potatoes. I also ordered a short stack of pancakes and a side of salsa. The worker was very kind and said it would be ready shortly.It's definitely a drive to get there. Unexpected. It's right by a livestock auction. I saw a bunch of chickens pulling in. They are all caged in. It was packed and since I called it in I just pulled up in front. The workers are great and shocked by the drive I made. Going to be worth it! Everything is homemade including the salsa. The order was ready. I paid for the order and left with good day wishes. Fun experience being out in the country with a bunch of chickens! Everyone around was enjoying it too! 6/2/24 Happy Sunday everyone!! I got breakfast ready per usual and split. My half of the veggies scramble was Great! Fresh veggies with jalapeños, cheese and their FANTASTIC homemade salsa!! Country potatoes were tasty! Seasoned. Toast was good! Pancake was plump and DELICIOUS! Even better with the syrup. Plus, it's a lot of food! Leftovers!!Really Great breakfast! I'm sure mother will enjoy her half when she gets up to have it!!Great service & DELICIOUS, Great breakfast!!Highly recommended!!

I hadn't been in to dine at L & D for some time. My BFF was helping me so of course I sprang for lunch. We both had the Cheeseburger Combination. Even better than I remembered! The Ladies uses Mexican bun, either Bolillo or Telera. Much sturdier than regular junk buns, these do not disintegrate with moisture good meatiness, California style (my own standard), neat and tidy sammie. I had fries and my Pal had house made macaroni salad. Both were wonderful but I'd give the edge to the MacSal. I don't know what the snobs (if anyone should be pissy, it should be me. I owned a catering company, have been Cooking since I was 8 and know the difference between bad and good) are itching over but if you want simple foods prepared well with a dose of smiles and conversation, drop in to L & D and dig in, Man!Big Joey says, "Check it out!"

Stopped by this hole in the ground place a year ago for breakfast. It was ok. Came back today for breakfast at 10:40am with 4 others, and was greeted with a "ugh....sh!t" from one of the staff. I was then abruptly informed that they are not serving breakfast to 11:00am as advertised, but they serve hamburgers and that is all. We left and enjoyed an excellent breakfast at Brooks Ranch down the road. I recommend the "The Impossible Breakfast" to help you forget the impossible L & D's Country Kitchen.

I'm from out of town but this food made me feel right at home great mom and pop style diner steak is best in town great service would eat here every week if I didn't live out of town!

This was a good find. Highly recommend eating here, steak was on point. Rib eye sandwich top notch. You know it's good when there is a line

The food was excellent burger was HUGE and fries were fresh. The guy working the counter welcomed me when I came in and he was very polite. The inside is like a classic 50s dinner. Ill definitely be stopping by this little country kitchen more often.

Very racially profiling people at this establishment I called ahead of time to ask for a job and was offered to drop of my resume but when I arrived I immediately was turnt away I would assume it's cause of my darker skin and not just that they said there's a Mexican restaurant at the red light to the left which was very un called for cause why of all places to recommend a Mexican restaurant to a hispanic.

Stopped here, not sure how we found it. It's a tiny place in small town central California with nice owners and good tasting diner food. We had breakfast - the house special, eggs and sausage and pancakes. All were tasty and very reasonably priced compared to many alternatives. We were glad to support a local business in these times and it was much better than any chain around.

Good breakfast, great service. It's my favorite place in this area. Lunch gets pretty busy because so many people love the burgers.
