Dr. Nathan Panttaja is my optometrist. I've had 2 appointments so far and have found that he is highly patient-centered, personable and overall an amazing eye care provider. The assistant and office people are also kind and professional. I highly recommend Kings Eye Center without reservation. I noticed people mentioned having a long wait time. One appointment I was in within a couple of minutes and another I waited 30 minutes. Since I work in healthcare, I understand this will sometimes happen and I'm prepared for it. I did receive an apology on the longer wait so overall my experience was still great. I'll update on upcoming visits if I experience longer than normal wait times.

I was going to give it 2 stars but naaah. My exam went well. My doctor was competent and good bedside manner. Optical department (which isn't a part of Kings Eye Center?) is another story. OF COURSE they're going to push you to the high end glasses = $$$$$. I just wanted a pair that my insurance would cover 100%. After much hemming and hawing and "searching " I got a pair that was $35 out of pocket. Then they push you to buy all the goodies for your lenses (coatings, etc). I paid for it up front and it was going to be 2 weeks. This is week #3. The added bonus is NO ONE in that department answers the phone. It's all voicemail. Left 2 voicemails and finally asked someone at the desk to give them a note from me. As I'm typing this it's been 3 hours since they got my note. Oh and still nothing on the voicemails. NEVER going back! Well maybe for the exam but NOT for glasses

I received a phone call to pick up my glasses when I arrived to pick them up they didn't take me in, lady asked for my name , made me wait outside- came back with some glasses that were not mine. I told her "these are not mine." She returns and says yes these are yours this is what we ordered. I said no this is not what I ordered! She goes back into the office upset for her own mistake! And they didn't bother on fitting them on me or cared if they were made correctly, never have I ever had this happened to me at an optical! Last time I bring my money and waste my time at this place. If they call you confirm they have the correct order before you drive down here and waste your time!

As always from the time I walked in for my appointment I was met with a cheerful greeting at 7 am and within a short wait time I was taken to start testing prior to see the doctor. Doctor Panttaja was very friendly & very professional with the thorough exam & taking the time to explain what he saw during the exam. Especially for some who had prior cataract surgery and my age (80). Secondly the staff in the optical department to select new glasses were the same with a wonderful greeting from selection of my glasses to the day I picked them up they were always friendly especially with Vanessa who helped me who is so pleasant & makes the process fun with cheerful smile and since of humor. Thanks again for taking care of my Optical needs.

I have seen Dr. Nathan Panttaja, optometrist, multiple times. In addition to being friendly and attentive, he is knowledgeable and competent. I appreciate that he takes time to explain whatever I need to know and put me at ease. He is kind and patient-centered.

Do not even go there!!! They have a weird policy that when you get your prescription from them, and it doesn't work, you cannot talk directly to the one who gave you your prescription. Instead you would need to go through their optical and pay $25.00 in order to diagnose what is wrong. YES! You will need to pay them first before they can fix your bad prescription. What a bad money making scheme in a medical service. It's like saying, you cannot question our service/ the job we provided, if you do, you need ro pay us $25 FIRST!!! So if I were you, go to an optometrist who really wants to help you and not just take your money. Poor customer service!!!

After going here for many years I'm done! My optometrist was good but the staff not so much, especially the department where you order your glasses. They never answer the phone or return calls. I made my decision to go elsewhere when they charged me extra money for my glasses many months after I picked them up and had paid in full. They made a mistake that they caught way later and are billing me for it. They're supposed to know their job and promptly inform customers if they see the insurance changes anything but they don't. Even the supervisors don't take responsibility for their employees mistakes and make the customer pay for them! Do not go here!
