King's Asian Cuisine and Sushi Bar and Lounge

Friendly and fast service, the inside was decorated nicely and the food was decent. I had fried shrimp, sweet and sour pork, and chicken chowmein. The shrimp and pork were really good, but the chowmein was pretty dry and not very flavorful.

I was in Merced for work and my coworker recommended this place.FOODWas pretty good. Not the best, but considering this is one of the only places that sells sushi/rolls in the whole county, it surprised me. I got the sunburst and sunrise rolls. The rolls were HUGE. If you're looking for value, I'd avoid rolls with crab in it because they pack so much crab that it's all you taste. This price is expensive relative to other places in the area but around the same as other mid-tier restaurants in the suburbs that specialize in rolls.PARKINGThere is decent parking but the area isn't very well lit and at night there aren't too many people around since everything in the area is closed early. I would try to park in front of the restaurant if you're coming alone or even asking an employee to walk you out if they aren't busy.AMBIANCEI did do takeout, so I'm a bit limited here. But it wasn't busy at all on a weeknight around 6:30-7:00pm and the workers who helped me were very nice.OVERALL for Merced I feel like it's a 4 but relative to sushi you can get in big cities, it's a 3. I would give it an extra .5 for the rice to everything else ratio in the rolls!

We've been circling King's for awhile now. We love just 30 minutes outside of Merced and have seen it on our visits to the downtown area. This time Kings was our destination. We arrived just after 1 and were greeted and seated promptly. The staff is so attentive we had everything we needed before long. They have a combinations of booths, tables, and 2 bars. One sushi bar and the other alcohol. It's a beautiful restaurant. They have tvs and you can watch the games of the day. We had a few extremely delicious rolls. 1 was called the Bomb roll. They have an extensive menu with bento boxes rolls and Chinese cuisine. We will definitely return to try more of their rolls.

Great service. Delicious food. Comfy, old school ambiance. We will be back to try more food from their expansive, but not expensive, menu. Definitely try the Spicy Garlic Edamame. The garlic sauce is super tasty!

The food was delicious and honestly we got a great amount of food for the price point the bento boxes are at. The servers were great I should've caught their names but you guys were all awesome especially before closing and super courteous. All around 10/10 and have been recommending you guys every chance I get when friends tell me they're indecisive on where to eat. Thank you

The sushi is..... not the freshest. You shouldn't get sushi from a place where sushi isn't what they mainly sell, but I love sushi so I had to try it anyways. The other food... SO GOOD. Best honey walnut shrimp EVER, yummy wonton soup. I want to try other things here but when i come, I always go back to the shrimp and wonton soup
