Horrible and RUDE customer service from Rudy. I will NEVER go here again because of it. Asked for a taper and didn't receive a haircut I liked. Wanted to charge me twice because I asked him to fix it and change it because it would be considered two different haircuts. Didn't clean me up right and left patches of hair on the back of my neck. WORST HAIRCUT EXPERIENCE IVE EVER RECEIVED

JVP is the only place I go to for a haircut. It's been like that for the past three years, and my last one before leaving Fresno for good will be from here as well. It's $11 for haircuts unless you're asking for something different/custom.I've had everyone here cut my hair at least three times, including the new guy; however, Jackie, Rudy, and Gloria -- when she's there -- are my favorite; the Thai guy does a great job too, but I can't remember his name right now (sorry, lol). The barbers are pretty detailed, down to the individual strand. All of them are friendly and fun to talk to. There are plenty of seats, cold A/C, and a TV with news or sports playing most of the time while you wait.Those who frequent JVP know that this place can be full at times, so come by right when Jackie opens or past lunch time. Waiting can take up to 30 minutes to even an hour based on how many barbers are available; sometimes there are only two barbers. Haircuts can be as quick as 15 minutes or up to even an hour; the conversations make the wait go by faster.

Decent cut for the price. If you just need a standard haircut these guys can take care of you. If you require anything complex or special then I would look else where. For 11 bucks you really can't beat it for a standard hair cut.

They've done a good job cutting my hair every time I come into this barber shop. They're $10 or $11 (don't remember) for a haircut. They take cash only.

I asked for my sides to get cut and only my sides. He cut the back of my mullet about 4 inches! I specifically said "Don't cut the back I!" Paid and tipped him to mess up my hair.‍ Wouldn't recommend.

Rudy was 30 minutes late to my appointment. He butchered my hair leaving multiple spots long and other spots shaved down. He said whoever was the last person to do my cut did not do it right, but ironically he was the last person I got my hair cut from. Been her twice and will never be back. Do not recommend this place or Rudy AT ALL.

Worst barber shop ever I don't even think that the old fat guy knows how to cut hair I think if I did it by myself I would did a better job Seriously he can't cut hair and while he was cutting my hair he was avoiding making me turn to see my face in the mirror I guess now I know why it was a bad job and please use some Deodorant he smells like a dead cat ( the old fat guy avoid him) I can keep complaining all day but I'll wrap it up in two cents ( he is not Qualified ) don't go there unless you want a bad haircut

Went in today for a cut from Rudy he did a HORRIBLE JOB cut my hair way further up than my actual hair line I was not able to tell until my wife pointed it out to me. He did not give me the mirror to look at the back of my head as competent barbers do. He made some weird V-shape in the back of my head without me requesting that. He also lined my hair in the front after I specifically asked him not to and then after told me I can't get too much hair there. I am a 40 year old man and I do not want to be lined up!I returned to the shop 15 minutes later to give Rudy the benefit of the doubt thinking he would refund me or at least say the next cut is FREE, instead he became very angry and said " I just won't cut your hair anymore" his customer service is horrible and I will never return again. Find another barber shop do not make the mistake of getting your hair cut there or at least not from Rude Rudy!

First time walk in not great place at all. This place not sanitized not a clean environment, hair in the seat, I ask him hey are you gonna clean this he goes it's a barber shop overall & he start using his cloth to splash the hair's of the seat all over the place its disgusting.. equipment not sanitized is just a mess. All of that I still got it done, not smart it's just stupid.. Rudy you not a sanitized & professional guy...
