I feel like Joan has good intentions but is a bit disorganized. She confused me with other people and other cases. She was able to get my case completed in 11 months, which is fast according to her and the national averages. What I was upset with was I waited six weeks to get my final money from probate. I told her I needed it and she promised me she would get it out and never did. She would not answer my calls or return my messages. This is why I am giving her this review.

Joan was the absolute best to consult with. We had an existing estate plan that she reviewed for us for free! She met with us, took her time answering all of our questions, and we hired her to update our existing plan. The process only took two meetings, and she was very patient with us. We hope that more people consult and hire Joan for their estate planning needs.

Stay away from this lady! Do not trust her one bit! Gave her over $5000.00 as a retainer for legal services. A week before the court day I called her to inquire about her plan of action. She indicated that I should just come in 15 minutes before the court day to her office to discuss. I thought it was odd because during our initial meeting, she said that she will have issues for me to review ahead of time. Needless to say, that didn't happen. When I appeared in her office 15 minutes prior, she proceeded to ask me what I want to do. I was shocked! It was obvious that she did not come at all prepare for my case. After some words of disappointment on my part, she realized that I was upset. She then handed me a 2 page paper (which I guess is a summary of assets and liabilities) and instructed me to look at it and provide my decision. Why didn't she provided me with this information weeks ago? How can someone make such an important decision right before court ? To make matters worse that day she wanted me to review my own files and instructed me to go to her adjacent room next to office. On the table were boxes of my files. They do not look like she even touch them one bit. My family and I felt that I been cheated by a unethical attorney. She clearly took advantage of my situation.
