JAMS @ 209 Sports Bar & Grill

I'm enjoying a nice cold beer and sidewinder fries. Beer is on tap from dust bowl, therapist, and it's really good. Hits all the right spots. The fries came out fresh, along with some ranch. I don't usually eat my fries with ranch, but something about this ranch just tastes so good.I'm really enjoying the vibes here. Music, TV's all around, and the ambience. Happy hour is from 3p to 7p. The waitresses have been providing excellent customer service.Don't worry, parking out front is adequate. There's enough space to quickly walk inside.Highly recommend

I am going to comment on the reviews posted first. I see reviews on here that are clearly paid for so when you read those 5 reviews take them with a grain of salt. With the owner commenting on bad reviews and saying their bad experiences, food ect. Is important to them this is not true. I was just there and the complaints that ppl are sharing about the food, nothing has been done to change it. The food is still burnt to a crisp so no it is not spice as a manger once said.My review: We went in and honestly the vibe there felt cheap and like they were trying to hard. It honestly looked like Gordon Ramsey had recently decorated the place circa 2010. It was kind of tacky. The music was awful. Not only was it bad county music it was bad Christian country music so that is depressing in itself and contradictory considering it's a bar. lol The staff was extremely nice though that is who the 1 is for. Only thing I really liked was the staff. I got Fish n Chips with garlic fries. The fish were two small pieces and were burnt but was nicely cooked on the inside? ‍ How does that happen? The garlic fries where awful. I LOVE GARLIC FRIES! I don't think there was any actual garlic on the fries. Whatever was on the fries was sweet like sugar and sour like vinegar. It was an extremely bad mix. When I got out to eat I eat everything! I am not picky! These garlic fries where nasty though. The family member I was with got the Jams Chicken something. She was given a big burnt piece of chicken breast on a bun and given a sauce I assumed was chipotle and when I tasted it all I tasted was straight up arm pit. I know this spice is curry. When used correctly it's delicious in many Indian dishes. Here at Jams it tasted like I was literally licking someone's sweaty arm pit. Also had a thing with another patron which I know isn't the Jams fault but just the fact that this white person thought he had the right to give me a look like I don't belong there after sitting next to us when the entire place is empty really got me upset. I will not be visiting the place again not only bc of the food but bc apparently this is where the racist come to plan their next clan meetings considering this white guy felt like I didn't belong there. Lol

Took the family here (party of 8) for a night before Christmas Eve dinner. Only one table of 4 was occupied when we arrived. The restaurant was hot and stuffy! We asked if it could be cooler? They tried, but it couldn't... We should've sat outside! Ordered meals for 8. 3 more tables arrived AFTER we got there. They all got their food before us. After about 45 minutes, our food trickled out, one plate at a time, over the next 15 minutes. Kids cheese pizza worse than frozen. The salads were served on hot plates with the main courses. (So salads were hot) One of the salads did not have the salad dressing on it.Popcorn chicken was served, tossed in bbq sauce, instead of BBQ on the side (as requested). The chicken parm sandwich wasn't made from chicken breast. It was inedible parts of the chicken breaded.Our server abandoned us after the food was delivered, but I went to the bar and asked for drink refills and another server cheerful helped! There was one good thing: All of the fries were hot and crispy! This place has 'lots of potential' with a few adjustments in the kitchen and the server.

Had the Monster burger and yes it's a monster. Had to take half home.Service was fast and very attentive. Ambiance is what you would expect in a sports bar. TVs and sports memorabilia. I'll come back for the food and try a different burger.

The food and service were amazing, the drinks were even more wonderful! Went for my friend's Birthday dinner, and the waitresses were nice and prompt with everything.

Food is delicious , the outdoor area is nice and cool. And ALL their cocktails are . Waitresses are always close by but not too invasive ... and very knowledgeable about their menu

This is my first time going, although I've driven by it for quite a while.My nieces and nephews kept saying it was delicious so after my son said I'd like it, I said let's go. As you walk up, there's a really nice patio outside for nice days. The inside has a lot of room with a newer interior with a bar. There are a ton of TVs, so this is the place where you can come to watch the game or even oldies videos that were probably more entertaining than any game showing. We were greeted and seated quickly. We saw some friends, so that was a good sign. They said the loved the food and the fries are delicious. They had garlic fries made with some kind of seasoned curly fry. I made a note of that.When we got our menus, we asked for suggestions and the server said the voodoo burger is really popular because it comes out under a dome and smoke comes out. One of our party of six did get the voodoo burger. It's a real spectacle. He said the burger was really good, and it did sound amazing. I'm not going to speak to every item we got because each one of us got something different. Everyone loved their food and raved about the fries. Although I did not get fries (I was trying to be healthy), I tasted my husband's and oh my God they're so awesome. I can imagine the garlic fries were even better.I got the smokin Santa Maria, which also comes out under a dome with smoke coming out. But the thing was, you could smell the smoke ... like it just came off a campfire. It was amazing. Everyone was all up in my personal space, smelling the deliciousness. The tri-tip was sliced thin, but it was tender. The balance of cheese with the rest of the toppings were perfection. It was exactly what I was hoping for in a tri-tip sandwich.It came with a really nice salad which had lots of toppings. But I must say, people don't come to this place for salads. Lol. My husband got the PB&J burger and it was huge. He couldn't finish it, which is saying a lot because he's a big eater. Visually, it is absolutely gorgeous. I wish I would've taken a picture of it, but he dived right in.The service was excellent. The bathroom was clean. It was updated and had this really cool sink. (For people who are interested in that kind of stuff lol.)I'm sad that I waited so long to go. This is going to be in our regular rotation of restaurants.

Best place to eat and get a beer in the 209. Met the owner tonight and he was very humble, asked me my honest opinion about our meal and I had zero complaints . This place is the spot if you're looking for a sports bar / family environment. Come on by get a meal and beer . 100.% recommend as being a Central Valley resident my whole life

Hey- No major complaints here. The spiral fries were awesome, hot and crispy. The normal fries were meh' though. Voodoo burger gets a solid 4.5/5 and the rest of my party's meals look respectable. TV volume was balanced and not too distracting if you'd wanted to have a conversation.Staff was efficient and friendly as well. We'll be back!

Atmosphere was great for the family the service was awesome BUT Monster burger was bomb the pizza was trash
