James & Company Lighting

Thank you to Harry for working with me as well as our contractor to get the perfect lights and fans into our home! Harry went to great lengths to find the perfect fans for me. I told him the style I was interested in, and he did the legwork -- finding a few style-appropriate options so that I didn't have to spend time I didn't have paging through catalogs. The fans are perfect! He even immediately checked the the supplier and then gave me a heads-up b/c there were only 2 fans remaining. He didn't want me to have to wait 3 months for our fans, so he notified me that I had to act fast, and I did. Got those 2 last fans! When one of the fans ended up having a click (per our *excellent* contractor David Swaim who did a day-long test run of both fans), James and Company Lighting **did not hesitate** to offer to switch out the clicking fan for a new fan. I set up the time/day with Todd, and the person who came to switch out the old fan and install the new fan came ON TIME and was out in no time. On another note, our bathroom lighting was a bit of a bear to get just right, given some very specific measurements that our bathroom required. Our contractor David worked with a very accommodating Harry. Success! We're VERY happy with the extra lengths that Harry went to to get our lighting just right. That lighting wasn't even high-priced, so I was even that much more impressed that Harry worked so vigorously on what was a relatively very small sale. Lastly, I went back to talk to Harry about entryway lighting. He had a few product catalogs chosen just for me, given my style specs that I'd given him. I ended up not purchasing entryway lighting, but I will in the future!! I GREATLY appreciate Harry's amazing customer service. I'll be a loyal James & Co customer for years to come, as we continue the different phases of updating our home! Thank you, Harry, Todd, and the entire team at James & Co! I felt you cared about helping us get the perfect fixtures for our home, no matter how large or small the sale was!! We are SUPER happy with ALL James & Co's help, service, product variety/availability, etc.

Such great service. I stopped in while I was visiting from out of town and was looking for the perfect lighting solution for my business on the coast. They were able to order and coordinate delivery even to an out of town destination. The guy that helped me (i think donny or danny) even offered some input on the design and sent me home with all the information I needed (measurements, prices, bulb needs etc.) so I could measure and confirm a good fit before completing the transaction. The price was great too. 10/10 recommend and the fixture looks great in my office

I'm very happy with this company. Dean came out and quoted me a fair price and came out the following week to replace 1 ceiling fan and 2 hanging light fixtures. He even added a dimmer switch at no extra charge after he saw that the fan I ordered had dimming lights. They were professional and have very fair prices on labor. I plan to call them back to replace 3 more fans in the near future. I would highly recommend this company for your lighting needs.

I needed to replace ceiling fan blades on a unit that was years out of balance and just ugly. After trying Lowes and OSH, both of whom did not have the correct parts, I phoned James & Co. The gentleman on the other end said "Come on down and we will find something." I was there 10 minutes or so and they set me up with some Casablanca replacement blades that fit perfectly. Those folks there are friendly and knowledgeable and don't make a "roll their eyes" expression when you ask questions.Highly recommended. They are a little hard to find but hey: we all have GPS now.

Dean installed overhead can lights in a vaulted ceiling with limited access and set up new wall switches with dimmers. He was fast and efficient and the cost was very reasonable. We are happy that we discovered James & Company Lighting, and will definitely use them again.

Wish I would have found James lighting sooner. Reasonably priced and do great work. I had van lights installed in my kitchen and second living area (where I was told wiring couldn't be done because of vaulted ceilings and no crawl space.) Dean was able to make it work and I couldn't be happier!! The only company I will go to for lighting!

What a nice place this was! Total Rockstar lighting here - Expensive, but absolutely gorgeous stuff and very nice people working here to top it off! When my Rock 'n Roll ship comes in, I will definitely come back and buy a lot of cool stuff!! Wow!!

came in to ask about new canned lights for the kitchen and new fluorescent lights for our garage. The young sales rep had little knowledge but took our name and number and promised to call us with options and pricing. James Lighting never called back. Horrible customer service, we went down the street to Ashijan Lighting and received fantastic product knowledge as well as great customer service. They earned our $$$$ dollar business.

After reading all the positive reviews we contacted James & company Lighting. Drove to the location, spoke with a knowledgeable person who knew exactly what we were looking for. We inquired about ceiling lights being installed in our too dark front room along with a new ceiling fan. He assured us a lighting technician would contact us and schedule a time to come to our home, evaluate, recommend and provide an estimate. He did tell us since it was Monday and most techs were currently out of town on other assignments, it may be later that day and assured us if not by Monday that by Wednesday we would be contacted to set up an appointment time. He filled out a form, took down all our contact information, even went so far as to answer some lighting questions . We left feeling very confident that someone was going to follow through on our request.Well, Wednesday came and went, no contact from James & company. By the end of the week, I then realized while the store does have a beautiful indoor display, must be all it is...a display. I guess they also pick and choose who they decide to do business with. Honesty goes a lot further than deception, If our request was either too small of a job, or they only choose to do business with a certain type of clientele they should state that up front. The color of money is always green and the color of your skin varies. Most businesses always go with green. I'm not sure which factors James & Company Lighting uses, but I do know they never contacted me as promised after I was assured I would be contacted.

I've been dealing with James and Company Lighting for over 30 years, Harry is one of a kind Dan your so lucky to have him , I've been a General Contractor fo 35 years and I would love to have a employee like him to run my company, his respect and knowledge for people is unheard of these days with all the box stores he's always been there for me to make sure everything goes well, you won't find a better lighting store in the valley like them anywhere. I want to say thank you Especially to Harry for always making sure I had everything right I needed on my projects, I hope the owners appreciates you as much as I do, thank you Harry for all the years you made it easier for me.
