Tried this place months ago and it was way over priced for mediocre food. They had a special going on. $5 off of burritos so I gave it another shot hoping by now they would have worked out the kinks but this place is even worse than my first experience. I ordered a chili verde burrito and I split it with my co worker. The meat is was hard , flavorless and rubbery. It was bot edible at all. There were also strange veggies in the burrito . Lima beans and peas ... on a chile verde burrito? salad didn't come with dressing , it came with chile verde sauce sorry but we will not be back.

The food was sub par and way over priced. They charge you for refills of your $4.50 soda. Got served cold burnt beans and chips. Got home and got food poisoning so bad. My mom called on my behalf and the girl on the phone hung up.

Not only do they have the best happy hour prices. One of the Jens or Paulina and Kim will make sure your experience is top notch!!! If you can get past the Mexican music Mariscos is the place to go for happy hour!!! They have the best oysters in a half shell!!!! Tell me different!!!!! Patrona will tell you!!

I know this place is new but the food is not that great. For an above average price the food here is more expensive. Compared to other restaurants here where they give you more for a lesser price. On top of that the food amount here is insanely small. The rice was my biggest disappointment, I came to eat Mexican rice which is usually tomato red rice, the rice I got was white instead. The veggies were steamed broccoli, with carrots? Traditional restaurants give lettuce, tomato and avocado. The beans were super runny had no taste and was more of a soup than beans. Tortillas were raw and were not put in microwaved enough. I know because they kept breaking and I can taste a raw tortilla. Plates were also plastic than normal glassware, and again portion was ridiculously small. The service was not too much to complain, but my sever did take about 18-20 minutes to just ask me what I wanted to drink. Before even taking my order, it could be that the business is still new? But I have an honest unbiased opinion.

Came for lunch with family of 4. Craving fish tacos, ordered the asada fries, (3) fish tacos, gobernador taco, and kids combo plate. Asada fries were delicious and the girls ate their kids plate but the other items really lacked flavor... also the gobernador taco was disappointing...not very flavorful, I could've made it at home...it was this little taco for I think it was $8? Service was great and We'd probably come back to try it again seems like family owned but it was also pricy for not that much flavoring...

I love Mariscos so I was excited when I saw Las Islitas coming to out little town. First off I would like to say that they truly outdid themselves with the interior design. The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and gives you such a beach "by the sea" vibe. The staff were amazing, so friendly and attentive. They even let us know that all food is made to order so the wait time may be a little longer than most which was fine by us. The food did not disappoint! I ordered the Camarones a la Diabla because that's just a staple and it was fantastic. The sauce was perfect and the portion was very generous. My husband had the fish tacos and he said they were very fresh and crunchy how he likes. We will definitely make this a regular dinner spot.

2 stars for the restaurant being clean & spacious. The actual menu does not have any alcoholic drinks to order from, so you just have to ask what draft beers they have or what their specialties are. I ended up ordering a michelada, a soda & a water. The chips were stale & cold (that's the worst) & the salsa can be compared to Pace Picante from the jar & we added one of the bottled hot sauces on the table to add flavor & spice. It took 15 minutes to receive the drinks. While ordering, I was informed that a side of guac would be $7 & only came in a large container, no thanks. The only thing I enjoyed was the Mexican white rice w/ veggies & the shrimp. My husband said his burrito was ok. Hopefully they make it here.

Food was amazing ! Shrimp/Chicken fajitas and barria - well prepared and delicious! Restaurant is clean, quiet and the painted murals are fantastic. 2 for 1 margaritas too! Islitas is located in a professional center. Easy parking and right off G Street. Off the beaten path. Well worth the trip!

I do NOT recommend this restaurant. We went for Mother's Day dinner. The place looks nice, decorations are inviting and it was clean. The food was AWFUL! I ordered garlic shrimp with beans & rice and a shrimp cocktail. The garlic shrimp sauce was brownish, and the garlic was non-existent. The white rice with peas and carrots, along with the beans, were cold. The shrimp cocktail was room temperature and tasted like watered down tomato sauce. The tortillas were nice and hot, but I think Cheft Microwave took care of that. I really wanted to love this place because I truly enjoy seafood, but the food needs lots of improvement. Do not waste your time and money here.
