After living in cities for decades and tending balcony gardens in pots, it feels like such an amazing luxury to now have a big plot of land in the sierra foothills just waiting to be pampered with native plants. I never want to shop at a big box store for plants again. This nursery is where I want to spend my gardening funds. Coming here felt like Id won a trip to paradise. I spent hours that felt like minutes slowly reading all the descriptions of the plants before even finding the wagons to put the chosen ones in. My two small kiddos ran up and down the paths, played in the go cart (with permission & supervision from the staff), pulled around the wagons and then rested on the benches in the shade of the trees in the back while I continued my looking and picking. The "gift" shop at the front where the register is found as Sweetie the cat to welcome you, lots of books, pottery, jewelry, sun hats, art, cards, hand made soap, and other locally created items. The staff is knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and compassionate. I add the compassionate part because it was a hot day and I had already done quite a bit on the farm before my visit to the nursery. I was tired, dusty, and thirsty. Without me even realizing how faint I must have looked, I continued to try and do it all. Chris came out and offered to help me with the cart and a cold cup of water to help revive me. I accepted and was so grateful because I actually really needed the water, and the help. Ive had my news plants in the ground a couple weeks now and they are all doing great. I look forward to spending years trucking things from this nursery to my home. I hope others will continue to support this very necessary business.

Tucked into a bend of n the road where highway 168 meets Auberry Road this family run business has the best plants trees and bushes you'll ever plant. If you live in the hills this is your locally owned nursery. Crazy Bernie is not just their neighbor, I'm a customer and one of their biggest fans!

I just discovered this wonderful nursery! The staff is very helpful, and knowledgeable. They give personal assistants, and take time to answer questions unlike other nurseries I've been to in Fresno. This will be my only stop for my garden and orchard!

Very nice and knowledgeable staff. I have shopped at this nursery several times. They have a great selection, good layout and are community oriented. Offering several classes and events throughout the year. Intermountain Nursery has a generous parking lot and a display area that is not at all cramped. Go team!

A great place especially for native plants, and a nice drive up from Fresno. The staff was very friendly and helpful; you can tell they like their job. They also host different plant, nature and Native American related workshops. One of the coolest features about Intermountain Nursery is the layout of the nursery as it is located in a foothilly area, so there's a cute winding path of plants to select, and not just rows and rows of plants. Its pretty much plant shopping in a mountain garden and is a very beautiful setting. The pottery was very reasonable and much cheaper than what you usually find in Fresno. Definitely worth the trip!

I am a plant nut. When I get a chance and opportunity I get and plant unique plants. This shop has the best California native selection in miles. Sure it is the best native plant store in the surrounding counites. Prices are fair and selection is very good. Oaks, pines, shrubs, flowers, herbs and vegetable starts are available. Employees are friendly and helpful. In the fall they have a great harvest festival. Local hand made vendors and cottage craft items for sale. Can easy spend an hour exploring the place. The business has been here for around 30 years. Would recommend it.

Unique nursery. Some prices are a bit high but the quality of their goods is worth it. The staff is knowledgeable and if they don't know they will take the time to find out with you. The staff will hold long conversations and ideas. I like to go and sometimes just wonder around
