Cool Campground But Super Far From Yosemite. The staff here are retired people and they are super nice. We had a good stay here while visiting Yosemite National Park. The only trouble was that it takes about 45 minutes or an hour to get back to the park. They have bathrooms but no showers. Make your reservations online like we did. The place is totally sold out often!

Tip one:don't piss off the guy at the check in station. He'll call you out on your shit if you don't stop (this was entirely our fault). Tip two: if you want to get freaky in your tent, turn the light off. Tip three: they tell you to be cautious of bears, but the squirrels are tortilla thieves. Beware of the squirrels All that being said, the location is beautiful. This campsite is far enough away to not be in the middle of the valley craziness, but close enough to drive in every day. No showers, but there bathrooms which happen to be relatively clean and stocked with the basics.

We came here in May for a friend's wedding. It was not as crowded and noisy as some other posts made it to be. This campground is near a gas station by Crane Flat. You'll see squirrels and blue jays. My campsite had a good amount of shade and bathrooms are not far from most sites.

Possibly the worst campground of our whole 3 week trip. Only stayed one night and we wish it was less time. We love Yosemite. We did not love this campsite. Camp host was a complete grouch. Saw him yell at no less than 3 campers in an hour. We're used to hosts that enjoy talking to people. The site itself was small and on a steep hill. No room for a cargo trailer. Do not expect a pretty view.

You are in Yosemite National Park so who could complain. Close enough to the Valley and high country for day trips; store and gas also close. Spacious enough sites, but some do not have a level spot. We have a small trailer, and the ground was very worn right next to the road into a deep rut that made backing into the spot challenging. Drought has killed several trees in the campground so they have had to be cut down, lessening the shade.
