This venue is incredibly disappointing. My brother recently got married here and the wedding coordinator, Kay, almost destroyed the whole wedding day (definitely put a damper on it.) if you get assigned to her GET SOMEONE ELSE. she is completely unprofessional and difficult, and was extremely rude to guests at the wedding. She also acted annoyed throughout the entire process of setting up the day before. We also asked her to set things up in a specific way and she did not follow through on any of it. We had to do it ourselves because it looked so horrible. Another issue was the bar people that this venue makes you use in your contract. The man was extremely rude and had a total attitude when we asked why the line to get a drink was an hour long wait. There was more than enough alcohol (we were expecting to have a lot left over) but he decided to water down all of the drinks. Ridiculous. The venue staff or bar staff (not sure which) were also dropping boxes of champagne and ruining them. At the end of the night all of the left over alcohol was visible behind the bar, but we were told that we couldn't take it home the night of the wedding. Upon our arrival the next morning all of the left over alcohol had magically disappeared. Very sketchy. The only plus to this place is it's pretty, but that's about it. If you have the option to go with another venue do it and save yourself a lot of trouble.

Loved the venue for my wedding. Staff was very helpful, especially Elise. She was hands down the best to work with. She always replied to my million questions, very professionally too. The day of was great. Everything was set up and when it was time to go they helped put everything away. Great service and great venue.

I attended a wedding here which was held inside of their reception hall. This reception hall is wonderful, it has all the feel of an old ranch house but also has newer amenities to make you feel comfortable in the 21st-century.They had a nice outdoor area as well for those who needed to get some fresh air or get some Smore's. The couple that got married had a Smore's center set up outside. One thing I really liked about this place was that the DJ booth was up above the bar which was an interesting dynamic. I'm sure the DJ loved it too because he wasn't constantly hounded by requests. I like this design because nothing seem cramped and no one seemed out of place. The bathrooms were a little far away but the parking was very convenient and the location was secluded as well, so we kind of felt like we were in our own little world.I would recommend this location to anyone who likes rustic locations or old-style charm.

We got married this last Saturday April 27th. We told ourselves that after all the chaos we would sit down and start leaving reviews for our vendors. So here we are! I'm going to see if we can do this in one go and try to keep this as open and honest as possible! We absolutely LOVED our big day at HSS! It was gorgeous, and we recommend April weddings there (it was a tad warm but nothing unbearable). Everything was green, gorgeous, and smelled AMAZING! We got so many compliments about the venue and how everything looked; we also LOVED working with Taylor! She was quick with responses and answering questions. Don't be afraid to ask her questions and ask for clarification if you don't understand things! She was so very sweet and helpful and was always able to point you in the right direction. And it was a BLAST staying in the cottage! So much fun, and convenient for the bridal party to get together and get ready. We had the cottage while another wedding was going on, and it was NO issue; everyone stayed in their respective areas and we even caught some glimpses of the fun wedding before us. The only issues we had: Know that on weekend days especially they can/will book two weddings in one day (which is hard to imagine). We didn't know this (or possibly didn't remember). And after some obvious frustration from the both of us, they added on the other half of the venue at a reduced cost. We weren't about to have competing music, guests, parking, bathroom lines, and parking! And if/when you do an all inclusive package and decide to do a FULL bar pay attention. While they give you a stipend for a bar tending service (and you have to chose off of their preferred list) it does NOT cover the services HOURLY cost and also be aware of corking fees (though some of this has nothing to do with HSS themselves more the bar company). Hope that if you have a weekend wedding, there isn't a wedding on friday as they will have to hold your rehearsal on a Thursday (which made it hard for us as we live out of town). They offered to hold the rehearsal the morning of, which wouldn't work since us girls have to start getting ready early on.All in all the staff at HSS did make our day run smoother, made it memorable, and undeniably gorgeous! This history and look of this place really adds to the feel. There are so many places for gorgeous picture opportunities, and the space gives you the ability for you/your coordinator to really play with. It was also great to have the cottage all set up with beds, towels etc. and access to its storage areas. A lot of our bigger decor items and alcohol we were able to bring up early and store rather than the night before/day of the wedding. The bridal suite was also a great place for the guys to hang out and get ready (while the girls took over the cottage and were hidden away from their prying eyes). You really can't go wrong when choosing a ceremony/reception place as the garden area and glass barn are both so unique and beautiful! This place is so amazingly beautiful (wonder how many times I've said beautiful) and we really couldn't have chosen anywhere better (we actually talking about doing anniversary pictures here if we can)! Thank you to Taylor and the rest of the HSS Staff for everything! For dealing with my (the brides) 1,000 questions, stress, and demands. You really help my vision and our big day come true!

I was in a wedding at Seven Sycamores this last weekend. It was my first time at this venue and couldn't be more impressed! The grounds were perfectly manicured and the staff was very friendly and organized. We were in the barn and the garden area and both were perfect for their purpose. If I had done an outdoor wedding for myself, this would have been it! It was perfect for that "rustic country chic" look that is very trendy right now.The bridal party also stayed the night at the guest house on the premises. It was perfect to sleep all 6 of us and it was clean with a well-equipped kitchen. It was also large enough for us all to get ready in! The AC worked well and the showers in the 2 bathrooms were decent! I have not one bad thing to say about this venue.

This venue is absolutely STUNNING. I love everything about this venue, however, Elise is not very friendly. Every vendor I spoke to raved about how friendly the staff is, but that was not the experience I had. Elise was never overly friendly and better explained as standoffish. I brushed it off, because I loved the venue itself. The day of the wedding, Elise threw all of the belongings of my bridal party out of the cottage onto the floor outside and when asked where specific expensive items were she just shrugged without a single care. At the end of the wedding when we were cleaning up, she told multiple guests, "are you helping or leaving? Because if you're not helping, you need to leave". It's one thing to not be very kind to me, but not being kind to my guests is not acceptable. She made my bridal party, my guests, and myself feel very uncomfortable as if my wedding was an inconvenience to her. Such a shame, because like I mentioned before, this venue is beautiful!

Gorgeous venue but the staff here really did not meet expectations. I had my wedding here and the day of coordinator was rude to me, my family, my wedding party and even my guests. Everyone who I have spoken to has commented how awful she was to them and how unorganized and curt she was with everyone. And not one person has had anything nice to say about her except how beautiful the venue was. The day of my wedding my day of coordinator did not speak to me one time. WOW! Not even to say good morning or touch base while I was getting ready in the cottage. We spent a lot of money here and they did not treat us with kindness or respect. We rented the cottage for two nights and rented out both venues for the day. I am really just disgusted by the whole thing. She didn't help excusing the tables and couldn't even get me food on during the reception on time- cold both times and took her forever. If you plan on utilizing Elise for your day of coordinator for your wedding, DONT. You are better off hiring 3rd party unfortunately. They made a lot of empty promises and they did not perform. I felt like the reception was a bit chaotic considering it was her job. Every time I saw her she was smirking in the corner by the DJ booth not doing anything. Some of our guests did not get cake! And our families were excused last for food at the reception. She also snapped at my wedding party multiple times and even during the wedding rehearsal. I honestly did not want to leave this review but SO MANY people from family to guests to my wedding party have reached out to me telling me how awful they were treated by Elise the day of the wedding. The things I have written here are not even half of the things she did that day. I feel forced to write this review so maybe she will read it and reflect on her actions and anyone thinking of going with this venue will think twice. I wish I did.

The venue was outstanding, beautiful and well maintained, staff was very helpful and the recommended caterer and dj's we used were outstanding. The minuses. #1 From the first day it was explained there was golf carts available to shuttle guests from parking lot and overflow area in case of 2 weddings at the same time, which we had, but day of, there were none available, and no clear explanation given. It rained the day before.#2 there were 2 weddings at the same time and to us it seemed like we should have had one staff representative with our party at all times, and they came and checked on us ,but seemed to only be here sporadically. Kudos to the DJ who several times doubled as staff and went and looked for a staff person to help ,or just did what we were looking for. I really wanted to give it more because we were really happy, but I feel 3 is fair.Would I book something there again, yes , without hesitation. These are small complaints I hope they read and fix the problems.

I recently attended a wedding, grounds and facilities are very nice. But I should have brought my own drinks as there was a 30 person line for drinks the whole 4 first hours. I'm not kidding, it was ridiculous. The event coordinator ignored suggestions to resolve. So..... seriously that needs fixing. Other than that it was great.

Our son's wedding was a great experience! Received many compliments from our guests on the quaint, rustic venue and the shady, intimate grounds. Staff was very helpful and met our every need. Highly recommend renting the cottage on site as a bridal "haven" (available separately). We fixed a leisurely breakfast for the bridal party there the morning of (great kitchen!), and the bedrooms and baths made getting ready a leisurely, spa-like experience. The front room gave the grandparents a cool and comfy waiting place between photos and ceremony, as did the front yard for the guys. The caterer recommended by the staff was 5 star as well. Great time had by all.
