I have called several times over the past week and IF I can get the front desk person to answer the phone, I am met with attitude and just plain horrible customer service. Not professional at all! She refuses to transfer me to Social Services and has placed me on hold for over 45min twice! Just based on the horrible customer service on the phone by the receptionist, I would never recommend anyone to take their loved ones to this place. Unfortunately, the first point of contact in a business is the "Face" of the organization. Based on her, she has ruined the image of the SNF for me.

My mother has been in several places in town. This is not prettiest but she has not contracted any infections here. The staff are friendly and helpful. They were testing all visitors to keep Covid out. I recommend it.

This place is such a disappointment! The nurses are so mean and heartless, they simply don't care. The bed didn't have rails, which would cause the patient to fall at night. The cord to call the nurse doesn't work. Nurses were aggressive with the patients and didn't come in to the room to check in on the patient. This is wrong and needs to be addressed. If you love your family please don't bring them here. Please read all the reviews.

My mom was there. We requested a podiatrist several times. Never got one. She has fungus in her toes. She's 89 yrs of age. They were using one syringe to give meds to patience. Staff was ok. But the care was HORRIBLE. I have her with me now. I'm able to sleep . I wouldn't leave my worse enemy there

IF...you actually love or even just care for another human being, do NOT bring, send, nor allow them to be brought to this facility. I read the reviews about the food, and trust me, after 4 months at Community Regional Hospital...the food here is at least palatable. However, the portions are for toddlers, NOT adults. If you have a specific or special diet...good luck! 20% of the time I am given someone else's food tray! 50-75% of the time, I am served the very foods that I do not eat or cannot eat. And about 1 times per week...I am not given a food tray AT ALL! I was told by kitchen staff, that they are on a very strict budget and must comply, when I inquired about an adult sized portion. Now; my assigned doctor came and spoke to me for merely 5 minutes, and left. I haven't seen him since. That was the Friday after I arrived here. He is scheduled for patient visits on Tuesdays and Fridays. I've been here for 11 days. I was lied to by my med nurses who refused to "wake him up after hours" when I was having a bad anxiety attack and felt like I couldn't breathe, they said because "it wasn't an emergency", and they assured me that h"e will be coming in to see me on Wednesday, and I can talk to him then." NOOE! They lied to me. That Wednesday when I became upset that he never showed up the entire day...and I was told that he never responded to the staff faxes to him, a nurse snapped at me and said- "jesus christ, why are you being like that!" "My doctor " has never come back to see me, but apparently decided to discontinue a medication I've been taking 2x's a day for over a year without ever letting me know why, and I've let staff members know that my abdominal pain is so much worse since that change. I had asked for something to help me with my severe anxiety and 3 DAYS LATER...(it was NOT over the weekend), I was prescribed a medication that the side effects CAUSE ANXIETY, hives, (which during my whole 5 minutes on my one single visit with him, I showed him what I'm guessing are hives all over my body and I asked for something for the severe itching as well) the anti anxiety medication he prescribed also cause rapid heart rate and anger. Needless to say, I've never taken it, and requested something else for the severe anxiety. NOTHING!!! NO RESPONSE!! NO VISIT!! NO CHANGES! I am soooo miserable!! I only sleep up to 3 hours in a 24 hour period, since I arrived here. There are no headaches jacks or way of watching your television privately, so it's always dueling televisions and varying volumes. The nurses here are so seriously understaffed that I wait daily, on average- 30-55 minutes for anyone to respond to my call light. Ohhh, and if your nurse is on break (you are never informed of this), YOU WAIT until their break is over! They'll tell you afterwards that they were on break. I have had 2 nurses be physically rough with me. Only one of the two that I requested NOT to be near me, has not been my nurse again. I I have only had 5 full meals out of 33 served, because of the mess ups I mentioned above. I am sooo hungry and relying on saltine crackers to keep the hunger pains away. However I was just told that the kitchen is seriously limiting my saltine cracker intake, because I could get high blood pressure from eating them. Do you THINK it COULD BE...THE STRESS?! THE LACK OF FOOD?! THE LACK OF CARE & BEING LIED TO BY NURSES?! THE LACK OF SLEEP?! But by all means, let's further limit my food intake. So, If you care about a human being, do NOT consider this facility! I anticipate retaliation for this review and even reactive abuse. I fear for my health & safety.

Please, if you can go anywhere else, please do so. This place was the worst...Our loved one was only there 20 days, and in those 20 days he came home with 8 bed sores and had lost 15 pounds, I almost didn't recognize him. He had no bed sores when he was admitted, 2 were so bad that he had to be taken to the ER. When I went to pick him up (2 hours away) nobody mentioned anything about the bed sores. Not the nurses, not the Physical Therapist, had I known I would have had him transported by ambulance and not by car. They kept saying, "he seems to be in constant pain", and "is this normal for him?" I of coarse said no, and that I found it very strange. Did they not think that maybe the pain he was feeling was due to the bed sores on every bony part of his body, unconscionable.Just calling was almost impossible. They would either leave me on hold and never pick up. Or leave me on hold and then hang up. A few times they said they couldn't find the phone. Sometimes no one would pick up at all . When I finally got through he was so weak he could barely hold the phone much less speak. He past away Feb. 25, 2021, and all of the bed sores healed completely except for the large one on his lower back. I believe that "Healthcare Center of Fresno" put the last nail in his coffin due to the treatment, or lack thereof. I could go on, but instead I'll end it the way I started. Find another place if you can, if not, then be vigilant and if something doesn't feel right, question it, and stay on top of it.

Where do I even start? This place should be closed down.I have been in several different facilities around Fresno and this was one of the worst. It is unsafe and unhygienic; the staff is poorly trained, unmotivated, and uncaring; the equipment is both inadequate and, in many cases, broken; and the nutrition is far below standard in taste, presentation, and literal nutritional value. 1. I was a resident of this facility for 15 days. For 14 of those days the phone lines did not work. It was almost impossible to call in to check on your family or call out. On the ward where I was, there was one cell phone that was being used and passed around between the staff and residents. I'm not sure how often it was sanitized, or if.2. In the first 12 hours I was there, I was transferred into three different beds because the first two beds broke.3. The entire facility is in a state of disrepair. Slats are missing from the window blinds, the toilet ran continuously and the bathtub never turned off. There were large holes in the wall from the door knobs. The doors would not stay open without putting a chair in front of them.4. I was prescribed pain medication every 4 hours. On three separate occasions I did not receive any pain medication for over 11 hours although I repeatedly requested it. Another patient on my floor was outside my door one night asking where his pain medication had gone. The bedpans they had were inadequate and approximately 80% of the time the nurses would spill the bedpan in my bed and all my bedding would have to be changed. The vast majority of the staff were completely indifferent to the needs of the patients and this indifference is coupled with a glaring lack of training in even the most basic and rudimentary patient care skills in the medical field.5. I woke up at 11:30 p.m. one night. There was a patient outside my door talking to a nurse. Apparently his call light did not work and no one had checked on him since dinner time. 6. In the 15 days I was in the facility, I received two bed baths and two clean gowns, despite repeatedly asking.7. The meals were inadequate in every conceivable way. The portions were extremely small, had no seasoning, and were often served on a mixture of Styrofoam, plastic, and normal dishware. The meals were not hot and were not served on time. My roommate was recuperating from a stroke and although she could feed herself she needed help setting up her meal and she needed encouragement to eat. The staff would set her tray by her bed and leave. 8. Housekeeping was poorly done. I watched the housekeeper use the same rag to wipe off part of a window sill, half of a lampshade. Then she went into the bathroom with the same rag and wipe down the fixtures. After the floor was supposedly mopped clean, the bottom of my feet still became black from the dirt left on the floor. One evening I ran out of toilet paper in my room. A CNA could not get into the housekeeping closet because it was locked. I found out from the housekeeper the next morning that the CEO had made a rule that the paper products must be locked up when the housekeepers were not on duty so they would not be taken. 9. I had an appointment at 8:30 a.m. on a Thursday with my orthopedic surgeon. He told me that I was ready to return home. I waited the rest of the day to be discharged but nothing happened. The next day, on Friday, around noon I asked my RN when I would be discharged. She said no orders had been written and she had heard nothing. Social Services had heard nothing so I asked them to check into it and find out when my discharge was. After numerous calls between them and myself with no results, I finally contacted the administrator of the facility. She looked into it and said I was ready to be discharged. I was told that my prescriptions had been faxed in so I called my Pharmacy. They had received nothing. After numerous calls I asked the nursing staff to show me the phone number they were using. They were faxing it to the wrong Pharmacy. I gave them the correct phone number. Finally, after 6 p.m. at night, I was released. This nursing home was known for delaying discharges on Thursdays so the resident could be discharged on Monday resulting in four additional days of income for the facility.

This healthcare facility is rated a one star . With that rating one will know why it's been given that rating . This facility is very dirty , unorganized and they hire nurses that are prejudice and treat their patients terrible . They are very unprofessional and do not hold to nursing standards. The social worker Vicente is never available when asked for a meeting or does he ever return calls or emails . He avoids communication between the family and patient . He gives false information during meetings verses what the nurses tell us . This facility is suppose to offer help to the patient , not to damage them more and they do exactly the opposite . The CNA's do not tend to their patients when needed . It takes them forever to make a bed change , especially when needed quickly . For the three years I have been visiting there , the food is served in small portions , tasteless food and served cold . Any clothes brought into the facility for the patient is lost within a week , never to be found and worn by other patients . I would never recommend this facility to anyone . I do not understand how this facility can still be in business and care for individuals in a decent manner . I have never seen PT at any point during the visiting in three years . The social worker Vicente is not qualified to work in a facility due to his lack of professionalism and compassion to the patient .
