Hammy’s Smash Burgers

I'm a sucker for a good hype type place. Hammy's definitely has a lot of hype and 100% lives up to it!They have a very simple, easy to order type menu. I had the bacon burger, DOPE AS HELL!!! One of the best 5 burgers I've ever had. Everything was fresh, the fries were super good w/Lawry's seasoning!The place was super clean and the staff was awesome as well!Can't wait to hit up the one in LA!

11/04/14Pretty Great convenience! You can order right on the Yelp app! Ordered an onion ring to go with lunch. Sounded good. Paid for it on the app don't went to pick it up. Order ready and waiting with a smile from nice worker! Lunchtime! Onion rings were crunchy, tasty & Great! Even better with ketchup! Highly recommended!!

My husband and I love burgers -- basically we never met a burger we didn't like. And yet, pretty far along into the 2020s smashburger trend, we hadn't tried any of the local places. So last night we decided to try Hammy's.We had imagined the "smash burger" would be similar to the famous Blimpy Burger (which has been around since 1953 in Ann Arbor Michigan, winning many awards and even featured on Food Network at one point). It's a real old-timey place where you watch them cook your burger and they basically smash it in the cooking process.Spoiler (if anyone knows or cares): it was nothing like a Blimpy Burger. The main difference being Blimpy is not dried out and these burger patties are.It was perfectly fine -- thus the three stars.I got the single, however. which was a terrible idea. I don't think they should sell the single at all. There was such a small amount of meat and omg it was so dry. I love the idea of crispy edges and "well done" but the whole thing was just...dry and tasted a little bit off or gamey? It reminded me of the occasional really dry and unpleasant gyro where the meat is old and overdone.On the plus side: The burger as a whole entity was not dry, fortunately, because there was lettuce, tomato and pickle. And there was some kind of orange sauce. Then again: Neither my husband or I (who got a double) noticed any of the grilled onions on either of our burgers and we both love onions... so we don't know what happened there. But for me, with the single, the small amount of dry meat resulted in a burger that seemed really unbalanced and unpleasant. It was a perfectly acceptable thing to eat -- but I'd never find myself wanting to come back and have another one.Now let me offer a word about the service. The young woman at the counter last night was absolutely delightful. It was clearly busy and yet she took our order really cheerfully; she brought us our food when it arrived and asked if we'd like a sauce for the onion rings. Also the only open table was in the back by the open door. It was quite chilly, and she asked us if we were ok there or if we wanted the door closed. (We were fine, and we like fresh air, but it was very kind and thoughtful of her to ask and offer.) She also said a cheerful goodbye when we were leaving. I can't say enough nice things about her. If more people were like this, the world would be a better place. I really think great staff like this can make or break a customer's experience and therefore make or break a business's success, so I wanted to give her a big shout out. She was working the front counter last night at about 6 pm.The ambiance was exactly as you'd expect for a fast food establishment, plenty of tables, which were well stocked with ketchup and napkins. A self-serve soda machine (with nugget ice which I really like a lot). Finally the French fries and onion rings were both really, really good. If I came back I'd probably skip the burger and get a side and soda.But.. the burgers were not really our thing: fortunately for Hammy's, lots of people love the smashburgers. I wish them a lot of success.

Ambiance is avg. Could've used better ventilation. Service was fine. First time trying smash burgers. They were good, but nothing special to me. My bestie liked it a lot w/the sauce. Cheese fries are overpriced at $6.50Onion rings were good.

I've been to the original location. My complaint was that it had a greasy/sticky feel as soon as you walk in. This location was suggested so I tried it out. Same great taste with a cleaner location. I enjoyed my burger and sides. Friendly staff! Definitely recommended.

FRESH. Burgers were nice and fresh. Smashed patties were packed with flavor. The fries were a tad bit salty.

Food was fantastic and the service was also good! We ordered two single smash burger combos and they were absolutely delicious! Don't skip out on the fries! They definitely were also so good! One last thing to note is their ice was nugget ice and if you know, you know that really sends the meal over! Will definitely be going back.

I would go here more often but Pepsi..... yuk!Food is really really good but Pepsi sucks.

The food was good and the works are nice and the food is done quickly I would recommend if you like burgers and the bathrooms are clean so I would recommend.
