Halo Salons

I've been dying to write a review of this very adorable and chic salon! Halo is right in the heart of downtown and so adorable upon entrance. I was so sad to hear that Planet Hair closed down and I thought I was going to lose my hairstylist, Gina. Luckily, we found each other through social media. Please look up her business page on Instagram, hairdiosa. She's crazy talented. I was able to book an appointment with Gina after two months of shelter in place. First, this salon is very quaint and intimate and does require appointments. Then, you have the adorable owner's dog, Matilda who was uber friendly. I love animals and dogs so I didn't mind Matilda there loving on me. Next, the interior is absolutely elle decor worthy from the cow print walls to the adorable vintage mirror. Gina does what she does best, transformed my hair from blob to a really great cut and in a very timely manner. I haven't done color since 2016 and am considering going back for a bayalage. Fyi, I saw some other works of stylists and they do pretty great work too.

First time here and I really wish i didn't go there ,I called on Thursday and scheduled an appointment for Monday, when I arrived she told me ". Oh no I'm so sorry I never entered your appointment in my books I'm not at the salon ", Don't waste your time on her if you don't want to be like me, unprofessional and disrespectful to customers,

Where do I begin? Alex Kumagai is an angel! She has done my hair since 2014 and I've stuck by her ever since. She always knows what I like and she actually listens to her clients. She has created her dreams into a reality with this unique space that reflects her personality and brand. Alex has a gift for hair and I hope Halo grows. During the pandemic she has personally created gloss kits and touch up kits that she personalizes to your current hair and future hair goals. She delivers it herself and I got mine within an hour after I ordered it. A plus is her cute dog Matilda that will make a guest appearance sometimes. Her talent and passion for hair is immeasurable and I hope she continues to thrive.

This place is amazing! The owner is the nicest person ever! She's a Gem! I would definitely come cut my hair here again!
