Golden Restaurant

This is a favorite when I meet up with old coworkers during the work week. Great food and customer service. The servers are really friendly. They are also quick getting orders and bringing out food. During lunch, it does get busy. So, it best to go when it is not the normal lunch hour. I see a lot of familiar faces that work downtown here when we would visit during the lunch hour. Definitely recommend for Chinese food on this side of town! It doesn't feel or smell dirty every time we visit. But it is hard to stay awake after returning to work after eating here. :)

This restaurant is smack in the middle of the Tower District across from Ragin Records. The taste of the food could improve. It's as bland as WGBecky's potato salad at a cookout. Honey, you got no flava. First & last time here. I didn't even finish & when the waitress asked if I wanted a to-go container she was surprised when I said, 'No'. I got a drink refill & was pleased they served Pepsi products, however I could not take my drink to-go because they don't have drink cups. Well double-boo on you.They do have Apple Pay tho. Won't be back, I know better Chinese restaurants elsewhere.

Food was very tasty, the service was awesome. The staff accommodated a very large group of family with a banquet room to ourselves.

My go to place picking up food for my mom that lives in West Fresno. The staff are friendly and get your order to your liking. I especially like their sizzling rice soup with lots of vegetables and chicken plus shrimp. Mom says this is the best food here. Her dish is the chop suey chowmein with lots of vegetables. The prices and portions are very reasonable and you get your money's worth.

Never fails! Always Fresh and Delicious Food. Always come here when I'm in town! The Service is always fast and consistent. Been coming here since I was little. Now I'm in my late 50's. Can't find food like this where I live now so I get my Golden fix when I come to visit!! The Egg Drop Soup is so creamy and flavorful and I love the Pork Chow Mien.

Ok. Just ok. You get a gigantic portion of just okay. The servers are adequate and no more.

I was recommended to try this place. Thought that maybe this place would surprise me. It didn't. From what I ordered which was a pork chow mein and a brandy chicken, I can only say that this place is average. Though the 3 stars might be a higher mark that it deserves. I had ordered to go. The chow mein shouldn't be stir fried noodles then topped with bean sprouts and pork chashu. You need to stir fry both up and mix it all together. How do you get this wrong? The noodles were very plain too. The brandy chicken was tasty and tasted like they've been marinated for some time before it was cooked. They were made into lollipop liked pieces. Would I recommend this place to people? No. Though I only ordered 2 things, the fact that you mess up a chow mein dish makes me believe you don't know what to do.

I wrote a review about a year ago, but adding another just to confirm our continued excellent meals here. Tonight we had wonton soup, served nice and hot with thin skinned wontons (hint of five spice powder) and a nice selection of crisp-tender vegetables. Our server, Lisa (our favorite), mentioned that the green beans and asparagus were particularly nice that night so we took her advice and ordered chicken and green beans. The chef kindly added some bean sprouts, celery and onions at our request. It was very delicious and we appreciated Lisa steering us to what was extra fresh. On a Wednesday night for an early dinner it was nice and quiet, but was getting busy as we left. We always enjoy coming here when we visit family.

Yummy and good prices ! They give you a lot of food! I've been ordering to-go plates but it's nice to sit down and eat too . The atmosphere could be better . Def needs a remodel , but the owners are nice and the foods good

Service was bad! Did love food but service needs work! They did not include utensils not even a napkin.
