Stopped by on 4/8/23 -- shout out to your closing team for holding the door for us. But more than that, they were knowledgeable and able to find exactly what we were looking for - we were in and out in under 5 minutes. Skip the big box store, GBS is where it's at folks.

They things you can't find at Home Depot or Lowe's. It's nice to be able to find things and not always have to order things on line.

This is a well equipped and very well staffed hardware store. Excellent source for nuts and bolts. If not on the shelf, they will special order it in about a week. Even home depot and lowes will direct you to GBS for stuff they dont carry. No garden plants but garden tools and fertilizer too.Good selection of electrical basics, paints, irrigation, home cleanning supplies and plumbing items.

This is the best hardware store in Madera county.All the staff is ready to help you, they greet you as you walk in, Angie the cashier is so nice. If they don't have it they will order it.

I hate Home Depot and Lowe's because they don't have enough people to help. GBS does have the experienced people to help answer any question I have, and the have the items I need. Service counts and they've got it!

Went here once for some house rennovations for our water heater. The prices are a little overpriced (well you got to make a profit if you are mom and pop and small business) but they have a great selection of items and they will help you find what you are looking for.

I parked in the GBS parking lot to go to another facility. I didn't realize that I parked in their parking lot (I am not from Madera). The owner or manager came outside and yelled at me. He could have politely asked me to move - and I would have. He literally came outside to yell at me and be rude about it. I consider this behavior very unprofessional and unkind (customer or not).

Great mom and pop business. These folks are very helpful when you come here looking for a difficult item you should visit them before you go to Home Depot and Lowe's.

Store has most everything I would need from a hardware store, staff are very professional and helpful about most of the time, there a few kids working in the store, so if your unlucky enough to need some help when the managers are away, good luck, I get that they are just kids and it doesn't bother me much that they are distracted with things other than work. But is if you need paint or something from out back you could be out luck. For that reason I only shop here for things I know I can get off the shelf.
